The Garnier Organic Lemongrass Moisturiser is packaged in a slender matte tube, made from recycled materials. The design and look of the packaging is really nicely done - you know you're getting a more natural product, and it's functional. I hate day creams where you have to stick your fingers in the product every time you use it!

The lemongrass fragrance is perfectly done - not too strong, but also strong enough that you can enjoy it for a while after use.

The actual product is a slightly runny hydrating moisturiser. It leaves my skin feeling supple and soft after use, and the hydration lasts all day.

It definitely balances my skin and the oil does stay at bay.

I would use it again, but I do probably need a richer cream coming into winter weather.

I have combo skin with a very oily t-zone.

The pros. - The scent is really wonderful - I wouldn't think about lemongrass in a moisturiser, but it works. Especially for day time use - really refreshing on that sleepy skin. - The tube is easy to hold, and a generous size. - The lid is very secure. - A good price - it'll last about 6 weeks of daily use. - It's light and non-greasy and absorbs well - It doesn't leave skin shiny, which for us oily gals is a big deal!

The negatives: None!

A really great moisturiser for oily to combo skin - it's not too rich, not too heavy and doesn't leave any residue behind to block pores.

this 50ml balancing moisturizer improved my skin, allowing it to not feel dry. The actual lotion is really runny, i would of preferred if it was a bit thicker in the consistency and had SPF. it goes on easily and doesn't roll on the skill or flake. the scent is really refreshing and nice, it didn't sting or burn my skin either!

The moisturiser has a nice light consistency. I liked the smell because it was very fresh. But the product didn’t work that well for my skin. It claims to balance oily zones but oily skin isn’t really a concern of mine. I found that it didn’t leave my skin as hydrated as I like, it still felt tight after using it.

This moisturiser left my skin feeling really hydrated. I suffer from dry skin and I love this product. It feels light on your skin and after this product my skin looks and feels more hydrated. Smells amazing and excellent value for what it does.

The moisturiser was smaller than I thought it would be, but a little actually goes a long way which is great and it does seem so soak in quickly/doesn't make my skin feel oily. However, I prefer using it at night (although I do find my skin could feel a bit tight at night after using all three products in the evening) rather than applying makeup over it in the morning.

The main reason for this is that unfortunately on the first day I used it (in the morning), I applied primer as normal and then I started applying my liquid foundation and the moisturiser and the foundation both started coming off in flakes/peels on my face. The next time I used it with a different foundation and did not experience the piling however I have used a few different moisturisers with the first foundation and it has never flaked before. I am sticking to nights now as I don't really have the time to take all my products off and start over most mornings if it was to pile again. Unfortunately this issue would stop me from buying it again or recommending it to friends, as there are so many other moisturisers that work just as well but don't cause the piling - I'm not willing to take the time to try the moisturiser with different primer/foundation combinations to try and find out what the issue is.

I think the moisturiser would be best for Summer due to its cooling gel like consistency and it doesn't quite feel like enough moisture at night when you use it with the cleanser and toner too. The scent is noticeable but it feels like it 'suits' a light gel moisturiser like this and I don't really mind it.

I was so excited to try this product alongside the cleanser and toner- as they’re all vegan/natural-based products and suitable for sensitive skin which is right up my alley!!! I like the packaging colour scheme- the green and white combo is nice. I also like that on the back of the box, it’s got the list of ingredients and where they come from (the natural source), which was really cool. The size of this (50mL) was a bit smaller than I had expected, but it would be good travel type size. It’s a squeeze tube and is easy to use and control how much product comes out. The texture was thin and runnier than I had expected but spread really easily onto my face, so only a small amount is needed. It seemed to kind of sit on my skin a bit, rather than being absorbed in. After a few days of use I did notice a couple of small dry patches on my face, so this is probably not hydrating enough for me- I do have dry skin though, where on the box it says normal/combination and is more of a balancing moisturiser, rather than a nourishing one. Therefore it probably didn’t work that well on my skin, due to my skin type. But my sensitive skin didn’t react at all to it!! It smelt very similar to the cleanser, like lemongrass and very fresh, but probably a bit more subtle. Overall, I didn’t find that this worked all that well on my skin but I think that’s because I have a dry type rather than normal/combination, which is the type the product is aimed at.

Thanks BR for the opportunity to trial this product! I love the lemongrass scent of this moisturiser. It has a gel consistency which is different from all the other moisturisers I have used, but I actually really liked it. This moisturiser is easy to apply evenly and absorbs quickly. It leaves no greasy residue while also leaving your skin hydrated throughout the day. Unfortunately I will have to swap to another product over winter because I don’t think it will cut it when my skin dries out from the cold weather. But it is definitely great when you are trying to prevent oily skin and pimples though.

The design on the packaging is really cute. I do wish that it had a pump top for convenience though. Also that it was a bit bigger (it’s only 50ml) because I am sure I will finish it way before I will finish the toner and face wash in this range.

I really like this moisturiser and it will definitely remain part of my summer skincare routine. Highly recommend!

This moisturiser claims to balance oily zones of the face, and as skeptical as I was about how effective it would be, it truly did! I usually have quite oily skin but after applying this moisturiser, my skin would stay mattified for quite a while. Consistency-wise, this moisturiser was a bit runny for my liking. Because it doesn't have spf in it, I used it as a night cream, as I prefer my day creams to contain spf. As a summer night cream, it was alright, as it's quite light on the face, but in winter, I would want something a bit thicker and richer. I had read some other reviews online about how this moisturiser would ball up on people's faces, but I didn't find that at all. I found it went on well, albeit a bit runny, and sunk nicely into the skin without any shine. The smell is also fairly pleasant and not too overpowering.

The first thing you notice with this range is its very heavily scented. That's why I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the moisturizer to find that compared to its counterparts the scent was nowhere near as strong. It has a pleasant hereby scent with citrus undertones. I did find it still lingered on the skins surface for an extended period of time.

The moisturizer itself has a lovely light milky gel consistency which made it spread extremely well and absorb into the skin quite quickly. One large pea sized amount covered my whole face and if I applied slightly more I ended up taking it down the neck and decolletage as well. I feel like this would make the product last longer which is great as the tube is smaller than its counterparts.

This product is easy to apply, I just used my finger tips to do so. After I applied the moisturizer there was no oily or silky residue left on the skins surface, I felt dehydrated still and continued to have surface drag and some days I experienced stinging on open blemishes. This would be the perfect solution to an oilier skin type who feels heavier creams worsen their condition.

The packaging I found to be aesthetically boring and not as sleek as the matching cleanser and toner, however its still very functional and worth its price.

While using this product you do have to make sure you allow plenty of time for it to fully absorb into the skin as any residue on the surface balled up underneath the application of my liquid foundation.

I feel like for its price this would be a great alternative for someone who needs a water based moisturizer and who suffers from excess oil and blemishes.
