Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana Review

I have recently purchased this through the Beauty Vault and it was totally worth it!! My hair feels so soft and I love that you can use it as a leave in conditioner too x

I will start with the packaging and I absolutely like the large round product packages for the simple reason, that the product does not get wasted at all and I can use it all. So obviously I paired it with the trial banana shampoo bar and it worked wonders along with delivering what it said.

I have used this hair food mask about 7 times over this trial period. After every alternative shampoo bar usage for hair wash, i towel dried my hair and applied about a tablespoon of the hair food onto my hair roots and even scalp. I rinsed it off my hair after keeping it for 15 mins. As soon as I wash my hair after this mask, I feel silkiness and shine in my hair that has been missing for a while now due to hair colouring. I towel dry my hair again and then air dry them mostly besides few times using a hair dryer.

The change that I felt was that my hair smelt so do good and they felt smooth with a shine. I loved using this hair food mask so much, and I am going to continue using it. I know this tub is going to last me so long about 3 months for sure.

Yes I will recommend to my friends and family and yes it did what it said. I have said bbye to dry hair as this is perfect for winter hair care when you get most dandruff due to dryness in scalp. Thanks BR.

I was only able to try this for 1 week, but that was enough to have me sold on it! The scent smells to me of actual bananas, not that horrible fake banana smell, and I love that. I used it both as a conditioner after the shampoo bar, and also as a leave-in on the mid length and ends of my hair. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy, and I’ve found the scent lasts all day. The fact that this is a multi-usage product; a conditioner, mask and leave-in treatment, makes it both convenient and a money saver too.

The consistency was thick like a deep conditioning mask. Application is simple scoop a small amount and apply to the roots working your way up. The fragrance smelt like sweet bananas it reminds me of those banana lollies. Coverage is fair it spreads through the hair with ease. Usage it comes in a large tub which will definitely last awhile. The price is affordable for under 20 dollars from most supermarkets. Packaging is alright it’s white and yellow like a banana. Results I haven’t had to style my hair it’s definitely made it less frizzy and more tame my waves are much more defined. Would I recommend this product yes I would. I will most likely be repurchasing this product.

When you open the container you get a beautiful aroma! I used this in all ways it suggested you do, but I loved the effect most when I put it into my wet hair before running the brush through or drying with the hair dryer. My hair was soft, shiny and smelt gorgeous. I found it best teamed with my normal shampoo, rather than the same scent in a shampoo bar.

I've used this product before the trial and enjoyed it, so it was nice to get chosen for this trial to give my thoughts on it.

My hair is dry and curly, so I've used this mainly as a leave-in conditioner. It does everything it says it will, but does tend to leave my hair looking a little dull. A simple hair oil helped with that, but was necessary. The scent is very strong, and not for everyone. I have workmates who are very sensitive to product scents, and this one sadly affected them in a negative way. Because of that, I will keep this as a weekend treat for myself. I think they could improve the jar it comes in as it is very large and awkward. The top is a screw-top, and I struggled to get my hands around it to open. Women with smaller hands than me would find this even harder, I imagine.

Overall, I enjoyed this and my curls enjoyed the extra hydration too.

I truly loved this product! As a conditioner my hair was left hydrated, soft, tangle free and manageable. It smelt devine and rinsed out easily. As a hair mask it gave my hair an extra boost of hydration and left my hair shiny, my curls more defined. I found using it as a leave in conditioner was amazing for my very curly, normally frizzy hair. I didn't need to use any additional styling products, my curls were defined and frizz free without any greasy residue. I highly recommend this product, I'll definitely be buying it again!
