I was very excited to use this product because of the way you fold the packaging in order to mix the serum into the sheet mask. I was also curious to see the effect it had on my skin. So let's go through the pro's and con's.
PRO'S
Very generous product. There was so much serum that you could use it again if you had a spare plain sheet mask. In fact the next evening I kept the packet and massaged some left over serum on my face.
Extremely hydrating. The serum is thick as well and is instantly hydrating. If you leave it on overnight, your skin is left hydrated and soft. This would be great for someone who has dry skin or has dry patches.
Easy application. The mask itself absorbs a lot of the serum and is very cooling, and easy to unfold and place without much fussing.
Skin looked refreshed, radiant and energised like it said it would.
Mask is guaranteed to be fresh as you mix the product yourself.
CON'S
Serum is quite sticky which made the mask very slimy. This may bother you if you like sheet masks to feel more fresh and crisp than this indulgent mask. I personally wanted to keep the serum on as I wanted to see the results of leaving it on till morning (You can wash the excess off if you'd prefer). It took over 20 minutes after taking the mask off, for it to actually sink in to my skin comfortably. I did a lot of massaging and extending the serum all over my neck, but it would be sticky if I moved my head. The next evening I put a little bit on my face again to give it a second chance and it sank in easier.
The next morning I found that as I gently rubbed my face to see for a change in texture, it started rubbing off. Because of this I had to be very gentle applying makeup. This also happened the next evening...even with much less serum.
Uneven complexion. My face can be uneven with a little blotchiness/pinkness and what not, so I was curious to see if that would even out from the serum and how it's quite cooling. I must admit it made my blotchiness a little more obvious. Which I was a tad disappointed about since the cooling and soothing part of the mask might of helped my skin battling the heatwave.
Bumpy skin. I have never suffered from pimples, too obvious breakouts or acne, but my skin the next morning was more bumpy and pores slightly visible. I was surprised since I washed my face and applied Micellar water on my face using a makeup pad to remove any leftover makeup and clean. This may just be a reaction to my skin and not necessarily have this affect on everyone.
OVERALL
Overall I probably wouldn't purchase this but if given to me I might give it another shot and wash it off next time. The stickiness of the serum seemed to be the issue for me as it took a while to absorb and was sticky in the process...which led to the serum rubbing off and bumpy skin.
I have always been a face mask kinda gal but have never tried a sheet mask. This one intrigued me. I am getting more and more into a dewy look, and also trying to get my skincare down.
This sheet mask is a really fun idea, by getting you to mix it yourself, I kinda felt like a beautician. Its an easy three step process, fold, shot, and out on ya face.
There is so much serum in the packet that even after mixing, there was so much left. But it didn't drip once you had the sheet on. I left mine on for 20 minutes while watching a show. It didn't dry up or fall off which I was very impressed with. Once the 20 minutes were up, I massaged the remaining serum on my face to ensure I got all the benefits.
What was I left with? A glowing face and I was impressed! As for long term results? I would have to continue using these on a regular basis.
Tips: Highly recommend for an instant glow up! But be warned, there is LOTS of serum in the package!
