First perfume I wore this spring

As soon as I got the first indication it was spring, I put this on. How could I not with the green cap and flowers on the front?

(This only comes in the 30ml EDT which I own.)

Lily is a slightly sweet and youthful fragrance. This is also THE most green(as in the notes) fragrance I own out of my collection of 35 or so, trumping classics like Carven's Ma Griffe even. It's green right throughout from the initial blast till the end of the drydown with hints of florals. I should also mention here that the juice is also green though much lighter than that of Chanel no. 19 which is somewhat fitting considering the contents!

On fragrantica, it states the lily-of-the-valley notes are the most prominent. I have to disagree with this somewhat. The initial blast for me contains green leaves with tiny hints of mossy and woody notes. While I can detect the oakmoss ever so slightly, it's barely there, possibly due to better compounds being banned by the IFRA which has led to lower quality oakmoss in even Guerlain. On the drydown however, the lily-of-the-valley really comes through and for me this happens about 2-3 hours of application. It's absolutely beautiful and somewhat comparable to the opening notes of Diorissimo by Christian Dior. Sillage wise, it's light to moderate though on the drydown where it smells like Diorissimo, it is very light and basically a skin scent at that point.

As for staying power, I found it lasted for about 4 hours on me which is quite standard as most fragrances go with my dry skin. This may be just me since dry skin has a habit of devouring scent. It makes sense that I'd have to carry this around to reapply throughout the day and since it's not a 100ml I don't have to go through the trouble of decanting it

I think both the name and packaging are somewhat misleading. There is no lily in this but is called Lily, possibly because Crabtree and Evelyn have already released a perfume called Lily of the Valley which has been long discontinued. Also, there are LotV on the bottle and box when you have to wait for the dry down for those. It's there but when you see that on the box it creates an expectation that that is the first note you'll smell.

Did the bottle influence my choice in buying this? Not really. It's cute but nothing spectacular. The cap is also a bit more than chunky and almost disproportionate to the bottle though in a cute way.

I actually paid only $16 for this since I had a $20 voucher I used. Is it worth it? Depends on your taste in fragrances. Are you looking for something crisp and fresh? Then yes it's worth looking at. Would I buy this again? No. I do like it but I don't like it nearly enough to repurchase especially when there's a whole world of fragrances out there! And I have enough spring fragrances as it is!

Tips: This may actually last longer/be stronger with the corresponding body lotion which I don't have.
