I hadn't really been a fan of Black Opium in the past until I got given a couple of generous samples of this and WOW, holy mackarel have I fallen in love. I wore this everyday and received lots of compliments. And how gorgeous is that bottle - it's like something out of Disney or Frozen, all sparkly and delightful.
There are a few notes in this, Boysenberry, Jasmine, Black Coffee, Orange Blossom (and a few more), all of which are favourite scents of mine. But what I love about this perfume is that it smells so sophisticated and adult like (I know that might sound a wee bit weird but only way I can describe it). You know when you were little and smelt your Mum's perfume or when you dressed up in her high heels and you felt all grown up and fuzzy.This is how this perfume makes me feel.
The price tag is pretty ouchy but it is well worth it. I'm missing this so much but once we are able to purchase perfume again (unfortunately a non-essential item) I will definitely be purchasing and will be given a forever home.
If you like your perfume exotic, dark and moody with coffee and caramel notes and spicy floral undertones, then Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Nuit/Intense is for you. I’m more of a summer-in-a-bottle kind of girl, so found this way too heavy for me.
Tips: A little goes a long way. More suited for night whilst wearing a sequin dress and not much else!
