Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum

After reading so many reviews on the wonderment of this serum plus a helpful nudge by an enabling BR member I contacted Ballantynes in Chch as I know they have an Estee Lauder counter there that I have been too before and as I have a beauty account with Ballantynes they were more than happy to send me a bundle of samples to try out. This review is made after 3 weeks of continuous day and night application and the end of sample number 1 this very morning.

I've noticed as my skin has started to age, those fine lines, enlarged pores, increasingly more oily side of combination and a general sag effect has started to make itself known and I am not quite at the 35 mark yet. Estee Lauder is well known for expensive but high quality, top end beauty and skincare products so I knew that what I got would be good, but would it work for my skin as sometimes it just doesn't work.

The formula of the serum is almost oil like with a sight gel texture that keeps it in a more solid form than a runny oil, which means you can really use a tiny bit and it expands as you massage it into your skin, so a bonus there as it needs to be a tiny dot to warrant the price tag, can't be affording a new bottle every 3-4 weeks. These deluxe sample bottles, has seen me 3 weeks and I just cracked into bottle 2 so it does work out OK once the initial investment has been made, the full sized bottle is probably going to last me 2-3 months, and if you add up all the cheaper serum and oils I would go through in that time span for lesser results then it does work out affordable to invest.

There is no odor to the liquid but a slight honey yellow tone that once applied to your skin sinks in to leave no trace of colour, or is it tacky, sticky or uncomfortable. It doesn't irritate my skin and hasn't caused any blemishes.

It has however increase the elasticity of my skin to give it a more perky, lifted appearance, it look clearer and brighter, my darker areas have lightened along with some of my freckle marks. The fine lines that have started to emerge around my eyes and lips have reduced to almost nothing in a matter of a fortnight of use. My skin looks plump and well hydrated which in turns makes it look younger and also provides a brilliant canvas to apply makeup onto.

I am geared up to get a full size bottle of this by the end of this month when my 2nd sample bottle should be all gone, my skin has thanked me heaps. This is something to help treat already aging signs I wouldn't recommend it for those in their 20's who want to prevent aging to happen, this isn't going to do that as it acts to add back what already has been lost. Highly recommend for those enter the middle happy years and beyond.

Night repair was actually made to be used at night, after you cleanse, topped off with a moisturizer. It is NOT a moisturizer on it`s own. It contains hyaluronic acid, which is a moisture magnet. The new product was tweaked to compete with how the environment has changed so drastically. You see, 90% of skin damage is from the environment. I like the new product, it`s a little thinner, and it goes a longer way . I don`t mind the plastic bottle, if it drops, no shattering, better to travel with. This product has been around for 30 years, and it has proven results. You can use it twice a day if you want, but my suggestion is use it at night, and in the morning use either Lauders`s Perfectionist or idealist as your daytime repair product

Does it live up to all its claims? Heck yes.

One Word. Heaven! This serum has helped improve my skin and I wouldn't be without it. It has a watery consistency, a clear gel with tinge of yellow to it and no real smell. I cleanse and tone then use this alongside my Illuminating serum from EL as well as my eye cream. Then I moisturise and in the morning my skin is absolutely flawless. It dissolves into your skin without being oily, is a perfect way to age gracefully.

I wanted to hate this so much. It is so expensive. But I don't.

I received this in a generous sample size (7ml) in a gift set that I bought myself. I have wanted to try this for a really long time but couldn't justify the price when I didn't know if my somewhat sensitive skin would get a long with.

I have been using this for the last few weeks (3 to 4 weeks). This is a serum so a very thin liquid formula, but easy to spread over your face. It doesn't really have much of a scent to it, which I love as I am very sensitive to smells in my skincare. This just sinks in to the skin really quickly and feels great on the skin, silky smooth. It also preps the skin for my moisturiser that I put on next. I feel like it has made my usual moisturiser sink in really nicely too.

I have found my usually dry skin to look much nicer lately while using this. My redness on my cheeks has gotten less, my pores on my nose seem somewhat smaller, and my pimples around my nose and chin are dying down. This is all with me just using it at night!

So unfortunately for my wallet I will be going out and purchasing the full size of this. I'm so glad to have had a sample first as I'm glad to know my skin doesn't hate it, also now I have a great small bottle for travelling with.

I have used a 30ml bottle and have found my lines around the corner of my eyes have disappeared,I love this product and have ordered another,I wish I had a applicator on my bottle as I found it would all spill out if tipped over,and it's quite costly.i placed it around my eyes,forehead and cheeks before bed every night for over 6 weeks,and yes my results are fantastic,I would recomend it to others also

First of all, so thankful I didnt have to buy this, someone very nicely gifted it to me - the price!!! Anyway, I have only ever tried a few estee lauder products simply because of the cost but every time I have they never fail and its always a luxury! I tried this a while ago so I didnt have the little squeezer thing, you just poured it out - which was a little frustrating, I gues thats why they changed it. I loved using it before bed, all you need is a couple of drops and you dab it over your face gently, my skin was always much softer in the morning. It was slightly fragranced but nothing overbearing to keep you awake, it was relaxing. Would definitely buy it if I had the money to!

I mean, it's amazing. It does exactly what it says it does, and if feels good and smells nice while it does it! The only thing that is a REAL sticking point for me on this product is the price. I mean!! I'm no stranger to spending up on skincare but this bites. Needless to say, despite how much I adore this product, it doesn't get used every single night....

I've been using the ANR on and off for the past 7-8 years (started off with the original formula). I have tried other brands in between but I find I keep coming back to it. I'm in my late 20's so do not have any issues with fine lines as such but my skin gets really dry and patchy/flaky. It does a great job of hydrating and a little goes a long way- 3-4 drops is enough for each application. I would recommend really massaging it in before you put on your moisturizer as the serum is meant to sit between your skin and your moisturizer, not be mixed in with it! The dropper is hygienic and it's easy to control the amount. The smell is also non-invasive, which is quite nice as I find that most EL products are a little too fragrant for my liking.

This has been my favorite from the get go I first tried foil samples of the product, then received a 7ml bottle which is a deluxe size that has enough for a good trial of this amazing serum. Packaging : A little mini semi translucent brown plastic bottle that has a gold lid & gold branding & writing on it. Contents: A yellow almond gold fluid that isn't translucent but goes onto skin clear & absorbs almost instantly. A wet yet dry oil serum that has no slick residue & has a oily scent but nothing offensive or chemically at all almost a slight hint of wheatgerm (Almost). Effects: This is an amazing serum that my skin absorbs & locks in the goodness that this product has to offer. I just love looking at my skin once I've finished applying it because it gives my skin a glow. Then in the morning my skin shows signs of rejuvenation from the pore size to the healthy (again) glow.... I'm just loving the serum so much I use it in conjunction with the Estee lauder colour correct serum anti age spots in a blue bottle. The only down fall for me is the price for a 30ml which is 1 Oz is so fricken exspensive but since it's gives my skin the treatment it needs I'm going to grab me one & Estee lauder always have gwp it seems.
