Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

I tried this when I went and got my free 10 day trial. I loved the coverage of this foundation and also loved how long it lasted and how it looked on my skin. The only thing I did not like is that it seemed to dry my skin out alot! I could live with that though and would definitley purchase full size! A little goes a long way.

Im basing my review on the free sample that was available from farmers

lets start with the price - NOT KEEN! I don't use high end make up specifically because of pricing.

For me, I do tend to wear a lot more foundation than normal because I have a lot to cover so in the essence of actually having money to live on, I go for cheaper products.

Coverage: was OK? I wouldn't say it's better than my Rimmel one - for me I found it looked like a 'stain' on my face (AND NOT TO MENTION MY BRUSHES!!!)

Ps the "10 day sample" lasted me 2 days.

This foundation is excellent for flawless coverage. I find that it's very long lasting, theres no need to reapply later in the day due to it wearing off. It has a matte and very natural finish when applied, it doesnt feel too heavy to wear, and it definately provides a flawless finish. While it is quite pricey, the bottle goes a long way. Totally converted from any other foundations!

This product is absolutely amazing I heard so much rave about this product so I decided I had to try it , it gives such a flawless look and has really good coverage and that's coming from me who has really red cheeks and usually struggle to cover them well with just liquid foundation I would definatly recommend it to everyone !

Definitely a foundation that lives up to it's name. Stays on right from when you apply it to when you want to take it off. But that's all the good I have to say about it. Cakey and not at all blendable. I don't have dry skin at all but it made me look flakey and it was much too heavy. Not impressed at all! Wearing a foundation, an expensive one at that, shouldn't ruin your day. Not the first out of my friends to find it like this, no matter the different primers ect used underneath. No idea how it gets the reviews it does

I recently received a small pottle of this from Farmers to trial and I fell in love with it! One of the best foundations I have ever tried; I found it actually had really good coverage, didn't 'sparkle' or make your skin look oily and greasy and stayed on for a long time. I will definitely be buying the full sized product.

I was super excited to try out the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup after hearing incredible things about it from friends, and online. So a few days ago I took the plunge, and purchased this wee bottle of goodness! I'm super happy with it. Like all Estee Lauder products, the frosted glass bottle which this comes in is very pretty and elegant. Only a little bit of the product comes out at one time, but you only really need a small amount at a time anyway.

The range of shades offered in this range is really good. I personally find it really hard to find foundations fair enough to match my skin, but this product comes in a very pale porcelain shade (1C1 Cool Bone) which is PERFECT! The consistency provides a medium to full coverage which can easily be built up, and looks very natural and silky.

The only negative thing about this foundation is that after about three hours it started looking quite shiny and dewy, but this could be easily prevented or touched up with a powder or blotting tissue.

Other than that, super pretty! Will definitely continue to use this lovely product, although in future might look for cheaper alternatives.

This foundation made my skin look airbrushed! I applied using a flat top brush and it lasted all day and night and I didn't even use setting powder. Love how it made my skin look normal rather than oily like most foundations i've tried. Only down fall is it takes a while to take off.

Honestly if this foundation wasn't so expensive i would buy 10 bottles of it! I got a 10 day trial through facebook and fell in love. I am very pale unless wearing fake tan and i usually have a hard time finding a foundation that matches me perfectly but this does! The lightest shade(cool bone) is not to pink which often lighter foundations are. It has amazing coverage and hides all my redness and imperfections(and trust me, i have a few) and lasts all day with minimal fading. This foundation does not oxidise on me which is always a plus. It does not feel cakey or thick even though it is high coverage and does not make my skin feel dry even though everyone is saying it is suitable for only oily skin(i have combination) I cannot rave about this product enough the only downside is of course the high price tag but if you can get your hands on a sample of it i highly recommend you do so! I plan on ordering a full size off Sephora and using YouShop to ship it to New Zealand as it will be a little cheaper if anyone has a youshop account i suggest getting your hands on it that way :)

A very full coverage foundation. Perfect for oily skin. It stays on ALL day and night. Easy to blend, wish it had a colour for us fair skinned ladies though. Its lightest shade is still a little orange on me! but other then that I still love it.
