Essence Silky Touch Blush Review

Bought the 10 Adorable. Like the compact as it is in a hard and sturdy compact and small which is a perfect travel size but also small enough to have in your make up bag to not take up too much space.

Like the colour thatvI bought as I am not really a big make up wearer and the colour is light enough just to give my cheeks and overall look just that little bit of a pick me up. The product itself is not too powdery and a nice creamy/silky consistency

Great affordable blush!

Essence Cosmetics seriously has got to be one of the best drugstore brand I discovered! Their mascaras are amazing as well as their lipsticks! Silky touch blush however is one of a kind. For. Drugstore product, the formula is very opaque, silky smooth to the touch and is very blendable! A little goes a long way and with me having oily skin, I find that the pigment lasts through out the day. I have all the shades that are available in New Zealand and all of them are amazing! Definitely recommend if you are looking for an affordable blush!

Tips: Duo fibre brush will be your best friend in applying this blush. It picks up enough product and blends it into the skin naturally.

Pretty Good

I quite like this product, especially the darker plumy shade as i use it quite a lot. i love that it is matte and that it applies evenly on my cheeks. Its also pretty pigmented.

Will definitely get more shades and will recommend it to others.

Silk Touch

For the price, this blush is very good. It isn't exceptionally pigmented but I like that it gives a nice, healthy glow to your face. The consistency is very buildable and I would definitely recommend to makeup beginners.

Really good for the price

I really like this blush, it isn't too full on which is great but it gives a nice healthy glow to your complexion. I'm not a huge fan of the shimmer in this product but overall i quite like it.

Great for the price!

I have this in a mauve shade and I use it almost every day. It's super soft and nicely pigmented. There is a nice amount of blush in the pan and I don't need to use a lot so it will definitely last me ages. I think these blushes are perfect for makeup beginners, it's not too pigmented so you're not going to end up with super colourful unblended cheeks. and they're cheap enough that you can buy a couple to find out which colours suit you!

Summer dreaming

What an awesome blush for such a small price tag.

I'd heard wonderful things about Essence but unfortunately where I live it isn't very easily accessible so a wonderful BR member sent me this blush in a very generous random act of kindness which was so touching!

Summer dreaming is a swirled baked type of blush that has hues of pink and coral that builds a wonderful just touched by colour look on my porcelain face, which at times heavy pigment blushes seem to just overpower. But this blush has hit the perfect balance.

Very easy to wear and leaves a lasting colour that stays in place for a good majority of the day. Being a powder with a cream like texture means it blends easily and only a small dusting is enough for a flushed, healthy glow to the cheeks.

Small and compact coming in a clear acrylic pan which combined with the rest of the product puts some higher end brands to same when they cost up to 4 times more than this brand but Essence brings the goods!

Bargain blush

I have the shade 40 Natural Beauty, which is a warm brown/pink/peach colour. It's a pretty good dupe/alternative to MAC Warm Soul blush if you have pale skin. The Essence blush is less warm and less sparkly so it appears much more natural on the skin, for me at least. The colour lasts on me all day, which I appreciate!

This colour makes a pretty blush, but my preference is to use it to warm up my whole face. Because of the pinky brown tones in the blush it makes an awesome bronzey colour on pale skin. It's also a good colour to sweep through your crease for a super easy, natural eye look.

I have swatched a couple of other shades of these blushes and found them to have quite a powdery consistency, but this one is not powdery in the slightest. It's such good quality for the price! Yes the packaging reflects it's price tag, it's just a simple plastic compact, but it's a pretty sturdy little thing. Speaking of packaging, I love how compact it is, it's perfect for travel. Highly recommend this shade!

Good, but not great

I purchased the shade 'summer dreaming' after I heard it was a slight dupe for NARS Orgasm. For the price I didn't really believe it was true but thought it was a good chance to branch away from my usual pink blush.

The shade is a lovely peachy pink with a slight shimmer, and can be built up quite nicely or used for a slight colour. It does give a very natural glow and was perfect to use over the summer.

However, it is quite powdery and a lot of it comes loose when applying and goes everywhere so I do need to be careful about putting a tissue down to tap off excessive excess from the brush as well as the compact.

For the price point, you can't really go wrong with this. One day I might splurge on NARS but for now, essence will do!

Good quality at an amazing price!!

I own this blush in the shade "baby doll". It's a gorgeous medium pink shade, with a little bit of shimmer. It is quite pigmented, but not so much as to make it tricky to use (which is good, I am no blush expert). This lives up to it's name of "silky touch", this has a lovely soft and silky texture and blends out very easily with a blush brush. It lasts pretty well, around 6 hours on me (and I have oily skin). I think it gives a nice healthy glow to my cheeks, and has become an almost every day essential for me- however next time I visit farmers I think I will have to pick up another shade- at less than $6 how am I supposed to resist? :)

Tips: I highly recommend this for anyone, especially those of you who aren't very familiar with blush- I think it's a great starter; as it is low cost and easy to use :)
