essano Argan Oil Hair Recovery Serum Review

I wasn't planning on trying to get this in the vault, but then I remembered that I'm hair obsessed and I needed it. Had to have it. Couldn't live without it. Fast forward to Friday and it arrived nicely packaged with the rest of my vault goodies.

The bottle is quite nice, not cheaply made but not too expensive. For $16 I'm happy with the amount I get in a bottle. It has a pump which disperses a 20c amount of clear oil onto your hand, which goes quite a long way.

The smell is divine, I love it. I know what Essano's rosehip smells like and I hate that - so I was pleasantly surprised when I found that this smelled amazing. I apply it to damp hair mostly, and it dries nicely and doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy. Applied to dry hair (the tips get the most, the rest is used for fly aways) it is still awesome, and again, doesn't make my hair oily or weigh it down.

I'm not sure if it's been protecting my hair, or repairing it, but I don't have any split ends, even after a mostly full head of bleaching. I'm really impressed, and I'd gladly repurchase!

I was successful in grabbing this product from the BR Rewards Vault, but sadly it arrived empty and the contents covering the rest of my vault order.

My first impressions were of the scent, it smells so good! and with the scent wafting through my home and my hands feeling soft and silky I thought well now I have to buy it instead. The scent is very aromatic but I can't pinpoint the scent family at all. The packaging is sturdy but somehow in its box the gold cap came unscrewed. It has a clear brown plastic bottle with brown label sporting gold and blue metallic lettering.

Next grocery shop it landed in my trolley, and I used it that night after a shower. The instructions are easy to follow and the pump top makes it easy to dispense

My hair is dry colour damaged (bleached) and it was frizzy and wild looking, after washing my hair I foregoed the conditioner and towel dried my hair and applied two and a bit pumps into the palm of my hand. I started at the ends and worked my way up to the top and instantly I could see how much of my hair was in need of extra care.

I wrapped my hair with Muslin cloth and allowed to dry. After enough time had passed I checked my hair and not only was the frizz tamed but my hair was silky and shiny and oh so manageable (not weighed down). I can not see me going without this product in the future

I was given this as a gift and I love it! Has a beautiful smell and is not a difficult addition to your after shower procedure just add 1-2 pumps to towel dried hair it works wonders and you won't need to use it everyday so it lasts! I have baylaged hair and I've noticed a massive difference in my overall hair health. It is smoother and glossier and for a relatively cheap price!

I had my eye on this the moment Essano announced the launch of their hair care products. My friend has gotten me hooked on oils, serums, masks and what not for my hair and now I'm obsessed with picking up everything that looks appealing. I already love Essano as a brand so there was no doubt that this would be a great product. I managed to grab this in the vault and I am so, so pleased that I did.

Packaging: Love! This is a plastic bottle but it doesn't feel cheap, it's quite heavy feeling and it doesn't squish or bend which makes it ideal for travelling. It also has a pump, thank you Essano! The pump on this is great too, it requires a bit of pressure to release product so if the cap came off while in your bag or something there would be no need to worry about it leaking. The pump also dispenses the perfect amount of product. Big ups to the brand on this sleek, quality bottle!

Scent: I want this fragrance as a body wash and lotion please. It smells incredible, it's something I can't pick up the notes on but it definitely has vanilla and sugar - not too sweet though, and it has a hint of something that pulls quite masculine. It's an amazing combination and it lingers for a while which is nice.

Product: This serum feels so luxurious. I only have a couple of other oils/serums to compare it to but out of all my current options, this is my favourite. It's so silky smooth, light weight, non-greasy or slippery and it absorbs quickly. The serum is clear and has a very low viscosity, though it is not as runny as water. The silicones in the formula really add to the cosmetic elegance of this product, the way it applies makes it seem like it is worth much more than the $16 price tag.

My hair has not always been in the best condition, from the constant bleaching and colouring, the heat tools used and the lack of regular trimming, it has taken a beating and it's only been the last 6 months that I've started to care for it. Because I do bleach my hair, I often suffer from dry, split ends, this serum definitely helps to hydrate and, soften and smooth the hair. I also have very thin and oily hair, I can typically only go 2 days without washing it and this product doesn't make my hair look or feel oily at all. I always apply this to damp, towel dried hair and then let it air dry or blow dry it. Sometimes, if my hair is feeling extra dry or tangled, I will apply a pump of the serum to the ends.

Overall: I really love this hair product. It's affordable, it has great quality packaging, the formula feels high end, it smells incredible and it actually works. I would say all hair types would benefit from using this but people with damaged hair will love it the most.

I was lucky to grab this in the vault and I really enjoy it! The packaging is great. It's a plastic bottle so you don't have to worry about it breaking. It's also designed really well and still looks aesthetically appealing.

The product is dispensed with a dripper, but you can't really control it and it can get a little messy if you're not careful which is the only downside. The product itself is great and and so luxurious! I feel that my hair is truly nourished after use and is so smooth, light and absorbs easily without making my hair feel greasy or weighed down. It's also fairly watery which makes it easy to use and smooth over hair without clumps having more product than others.

I use this after washing my hair on damp hair, then let it air dry or blow dry. My hair is left silky smooth and flyaways are diminished. I prefer to use this mainly in my ends and will spread the rest through the roots. It really feels much more expensive than it actually is and I will definitely repurchase!

Argan oil has been a hot product for haircare for a while now and I have tried out a few different ones. I tended to avoid it after a while though because I found it made my hair really frizzy and seemed to make it more prone to static. I really like Essano products and have used everything they have released to date. I ended up winning the shampoo and conditioner that go with this product off Instagram so when I saw this in the BR Beauty Vault I had to grab it to complete the set. I had high hopes for this but since my previous forays into organ oil for my hair hadn't gone well I didn't expect much. I have been pleasantly surprised by how good this has been for my hair. I use one pump when I have washed my hair and it is still wet and I spread it evenly through my hair. It dries well and my hair doesn't seem oily from using it. My hair is well under control now and I'm not having to use the anti-frizz treatment I had been using leading up to when I started using this Essano range. I am loving this Argan Oil and I will continue using it because my hair is in the best condition that it's been in for a very long time.

I'm all about the hair at the moment I love all the Haircare products, especially oils, serums and hair masks so after reading Shazatron's review on this it went straight on the wish list.

This comes in a small brown bottle with a small pump top, dispensing around the size of a 10 cent coin with one pump.

The clear oil has a slight floral scent and the scent matches in with the matching shampoo and conditioner. It's nice and it's not overpowering.

I dispense 2 pumps and run it through the ends of my poor dry, mangled mop. This is what I love about this oil, It doesn't feel oily or greasy in my hair or feel weighted down. I have had issues where my hair has felt like an oil slick after using some oils but this is simply amazing. I either use it on air dried damp hair or dry hair and it works well either way. My hair feels soft and looks healthy even though its realistically just about to all snap off.

Honestly I can't recommend this serum enough if like me you bleach your hair until it's almost fried, or even if you have dry hair and need that wee bit more moisture restored. It does do what it says. And even better it's made here in NZ!

This is really nice, it is like an oil and I actually enjoy the smell. It leaves your hair moisturised and repairs damaged hair after I blow dry it at night. The price is reasonable but you do not a lot of product and I feel like I will finish it very fast.

however essano is a really great brand and I would definitely support them

I absolutely love this product, I have issues with how dry and frizzy my hair is from bleaching / over dyeing my hair and struggle to find something that tames and nourish my hair without leaving it feeling dead and heavy , and this works great for me , after showering and washing my hair I blow dry and straighten as I like it to be styled and simply pump one pump into the palm of my hand and apply to the very ends of my hair where needed ! It smells wonderfull to and makes my hair silky smooth without weighing it down xx

I've been really conflicted in how I've felt about this product.

On one hand, rubbing this product into the ends of my hair while wet can result in it looking great for the next day or two. It is the first product where I've felt like my hair has looked less dried and damaged after using it.

Yet on the other hand, my hair hasn't felt as soft and healthy as it has with some of the other products I've used.

So I have been using both to try and get the best effect. But I would still like to find one product that achieves both. But as one product, I think this product has been the most effective one I have found so far.

As a product, the serum is very similar to an oil, so when applying to the hair, you only need a couple of drops, otherwise the hair can feel a little oily.

For context, I use this product on bleached damaged hair.
