SKIN by ecostore Regime

As I already have been using this product and had just run out I was super excited to be chosen to do a review on it.

Already in love with this Hydrating Moisturiser and all the goodies it contains like NZ seaweed, harakeke extracts & kiwifruit seed. It goes on smoothly and is gentle on my skin and fantastic to use under make up as its not at all oily and dries quickly and only a small amount of product is needed each time. Also has a light smell to it, which I love as it is not overpowering and is very natural smelling.

Comes in a good sized plastic recyclable bottle of 50ml which is pump action and I can tell you from my last bottle it lasts a fair few months. Great product that I will continue to use.

Ecostore are a brand that I had heard of in relation to eco-conscious household cleaning products, but I was not aware that they made skincare products too. Their brand is cruelty free, and all of their skincare is branded in green and white: with green and white containers, and green and white boxes with the image of orange sunlight filtered through green water on one side.

I have dry, sensitive skin. Both the moisturizer and cleanser in this range are designed for “normal to dry” skin, whereas the night cream is for “all skin types.” Although I enjoy the night cream, I prefer the moisturiser and cleanser as they are more suited for my skin type. The night cream is still very rich, but it has a slightly drying, almost clay-like quality at the same time. I think it would work very well for combination and oily skin types.

All three contain seed oil and seaweed extracts, as well as avocado oil. All are mildly scented and beige in colour. I think the colour of the products speaks to them being less processed than other brands, as they have not tried to make them white. The colour may be off-putting for some, but these products definitely do the job. They do not irritate my skin, and my skin feels soft and moisturised after using them.

If you have sensitive and dry skin, I definitely recommend giving the moisturiser and cleanser a go. Those with oilier skin would probably find the night cream very beneficial.

As a regime I liked the ecostore range. I used it daily and found to have good results with my skin. I was happy with my skin and it did not cause any dryness or pimples.

I think I preferred some products to others so may not use as a regime as I prefer some other products.

I really like the day moisturiser as it was nice and light and felt really good on my skin. I like the fact it was a pump as you didn’t get too much product so none was wasted.

I liked the cleanser too. I was surprised At the consistency but I felt it did a great job in reminding makeup and was nice and gentle on the skin.

I found the night cream to be too heavy and thick to put on although once on it felt fine.

I was impressed with the packaging and liked using it. The pump worked well for daily moisturiser and cleanser and I perferred applying with this system. It wouldn’t work as well for the night cream as it is quite thick.

I did find the smell to be quite strong. It is not as bad as other natural products I have used. The smell did fade quite quickly so wouldn’t stop me buying in again.

I used three products in this skincare regime - Gentle Cleanser, Hydrating Moisturiser and Replenishing Night Cream. The cream cleanser is a rich and creamy lotion cleanser. The moisturiser is nutrient rich - absorbs quickly into skin and leaves you feeling suitably hydrated set up for the day. The Replenishing Night Cream is a slightly heavier cream - set to restore and renew during the course of the night while you sleep.

All three products showcase lots of lovely New Zealand Ingredients including seaweed, grapeseed, harekeke extracts and kiwiseed and jojoba oils. These ingredients are great for promoting elasticity which is wonderful for dry, normal or mature skins.

The cleanser and moisturiser both have a pump so you can meter out the right amount to use so no waste and its lockable for traveling. I loved the glass container that the nightcream is packaged in giving it a sense of luxury.

Across the range the fragrance is the same which makes the products feel like they belong together. The smell is herbaceous and marine -like without being invasive, just kind of smells like a nice day at the beach!

I think these 3 products work well together, the routine is not overly complicated and makes me more inclined to use as 2 steps is pretty manageable ie Cleanse and Moisturise in the morning and Cleanse and Night Cream before bed.

Its easy to get hold of as I can purchase from my local supermarket. I think the price point is good value for money at $19.99 per product. After trying these I think I would definitely like to try the Facial Oil and the Exfoliater which are also in the range. I love being able to support New Zealand Made and Made from New Zealand Ingredients.

I am a big fan of eco store products as myself and my children have skin conditions. We use a lot of eco store goats milk products and have found these a life saver. I was unaware eco store had introduced a Skin by eco store range so jumped at the chance to review these 3 items. The packaging is great, from the light olive green and white colour scheme to the tall skinny bottles. The colour scheme makes the product look modern and sleek and deffinitely makes it stand out on the crowded supermarket shelves. The product sizes range from 140ml to 50ml. They are the perfect size to Put in your handbag, gym bag or take travelling as they aren't too big or bulky. The price point being around $19.99 makes it affordable and the products are readily available in the supermarket. Product use: - I used the Cleanser in the morning while showering - The moisturiser after the shower - And the Night cream just before bed. Initially I tired the products individually ie a day using one of each product and found the hydrating moisturiser extremely greasy for up to 30 minutes. However once I used the 3 products together this toned down a lot. My skin felt fresh and hydrated for the full day. The appearance improved also with redness decreasing over the week that I trialled the products. The products did not irritate my skin whichbi a massive bonus for me at the moment as with changes in seasons my skin condition usually flares up. Would I buy this again? DEFFINITELY The gentle cleanser did what it said it would - my skin felt hydrated and nourished. What is not to like? - A NZ made product that uses local ingredients - A product that looks high end - it works - that doesn't have the expense price tag - is available at my local supermarket Would deffintely recommend this product.

One of the most important things to me is that this product is NOT tested on animals

This easy to use skincare range felt soothing and calming on the skin. I would recommend to sensitive skin types as well as I had no irritation or redness on use. The light natural fragrance adds to the feel good factor that is also a benefit of the range. The packaging is fresh and clean and the pump applicators for the cleanser and daily moisture lotion were a huge plus for me! I also really enjoyed that the night cream comes in a glass jar, adding to that plush, up market feel about this range. A great basic range for those new to a skincare regime but with the added benefit of extra additions also to the range - I look forward to trying the serum and mask! A great addition to the ecostore range of cruelty free natural products for the whole family. It feels good knowing that the products you are applying don't contain any chemical nasties. The products are refreshing and my skin felt soft, clean and soothed.

The only thing I really liked about this regime is the cleanser. Something among the 3 products is clogging my pores, and I'm having to squeeze them which I HATE doing!! I have a feeling this is caused by the heaviness of the night cream. They do need to work on the smell of these products, I felt it was a smell that lingered for some time and wasn't all that pleasant.

I was amazed at how much smoother my skin was after using this regime after just one day. The convenient pump hydrating cleanser left my skin feeling cleansed and smooth without that tight feeling. The hydrating moisturiser was light and quickly absorbed with no greasy after feel. I noticed my skin was more supple & radiant. I did however find that makeup application over this moisturiser wasn't as good as my previous moisturiser. The night cream was superb. The consistency of a light cream left my skin feeling fully nourished and noticeably smoother. The light scent of the products was pleasant and I found that a little bit went a long way. Overall the three products used together left my skin feeling comfortably nourished, much smoother and more radiant. Such wonderful results for an affordable price. I highly recommend this regime for a normal to dry skin.

After my last experience with a more natural skincare I was a bit put off trying a range of natural skincare. I brought a whole set and it took forever to use up along with the fact I felt it did nothing for me. But I was so impressed by this range.

I have used the oil in this range before and loved it! So was excited to try a few more items.

The cleanser surprised and impressed me the most. It was gentle and effective. The handsome pump bottle is handy no fluffing about screwing lids. Easy to use with a nice small creamy cleansing action. I had just had an allergic reaction to something I had previously used so had not been using anything so this was such a good way to ease back into using skincare again. Very gentle and great for sensitive skin.. I did patch test though as usual and they do recommend testing it also.

The moisturiser I couldn’t wait to use morning and night. I did use it twice a day but it was gentle enough to use and didn’t clog up my skin. Really impressed by this also. I do feel like I would use this faster than my old moisturiser it is quickly absorbed so work fast.

The night cream was such a great cream for keeping the skin hydrated. I would wake up in the night and touch my skin - I’m still feeding my son at night so am up a lot.. and it was so soft and smooth. It felt dewy but not greasy. I repurchased the oil to use at night along with this as this is one range I am pleased to say worked for me and the products complement each other so well. The goodness range for example didn’t work so well together I enjoyed the oil not the cleanser etc.. so to have enjoyed this whole range is impressive.

I honestly find it offputting that the 'non-flavoured' Eco Store products smell exactly the same whether it's dishwashing liquid or moisturiser but I pressed on.

The packaging of the ecostore SKIN Regime seems premium - a glass pottle for the night cream and sturdy plastic pump bottles for the cleanser and moisturiser. Each of the products features single colour branding in a different colour.

I use the cleanser twice a day, which is also efficient in the removal of my makeup also at night. I follow this with either the moisturiser or night cream depending on the time of day.

I don't love the cleanser, it's an unusal consistency, neither foamy nor creamy. It's beige and kind of melts on to my face rather than creating a lather. The moisturiser however I do love as it both absorbs nicely and sits quite happily under my foundation and keeps me moisturised without drying out or going greasy throughout the day.

The night cream I am also fast becoming a fan of. It feels cooling and glides on and absorbs beautifully. I'm all for the promised enhanced skin elasticity but will give it more time to see those results.

They certainly work well together as a regime. My skin is clear, feels clean and fresh. No breakouts and neither dry or greasy. The range totally suits my skin type, I love the eco qualities, the physical packaging and price points ($19.99 each, I think my usual moisturiser alone amounts to the same worth of these three products combined yet I see no reason to pay that much for it's perceived benefits!).
