e.l.f Brow Kit Review

I brought this after much contemplating and seeing the brows article on BR. I got this for less than $5 on iHerb, which makes it a very affordable eyebrow kit.

The packaging is very small and compact, so it is travel friendly. I got this in Medium, so when I first swatched it on my hands it seem really light, but when I applied it onto my eyebrows it was a lot darker than I expected. It filled my brows in pretty well. However, my hair at the moment is bleached so the difference in brow colour is just too big. It is good for whenever I wear dark wigs though. I find that applying the wax with a brush doesn't work well, or I could just be applying it wrong.

This is a very good kit for beginners.

using this product is the first time iv ever worried about my eyebrows - i was shopping on iherb and needed something to get me over the $40 mark so chose this... and i got the wrong colour. turns out my eyebrows are super dark but the wax is pretty awesome at holding down those stray fluffy hairs

I prefer to use this over an eye brow pencil, that could just be because I havent found one I like yet! I see this little kit as something I use until I find something better. Its cute and it does the trick! It comes with a little brush but I prefer to use a small angled brush. I use the light shade as I have fair skin and blonde hair so dont want my eye brows to be too dark. The darker side is the wax and has a creamy texture. I apply this first to fill in.my brows and give them some colour. The lighter side it a powder to dust over the brow. I don't always use this side but it can help get rid of the shiny look which can sometimes be left by the cream/wax. I would recommend having this in your make up kit just in case you want to fill in your browa. Its easy to use and it is so affordable. Kmart now stock e.l.f. I think this one is about NZ$6.

I brought this off Iherb a couple of weeks ago as my eyebrow powder had run out. I had heard alot of hype about this on different pages so I thought I would give it ago. The price was very cheap but wasn't expecting too much. It was great, it did its job with filling in the brow for a good price, the only downfall I found was that it did not last all day in my brows without a sealer on them and I had to use quite a lot of powder per application as I like my brows defined and the pigment wasn't too strong.

when i first tried it it wasn't as pigmented as i wished it to be, it is perfect for a beginner although i don't see the use for the powder side i would only use the gel maybe its to set them ? not sure gave it away cause it wasn't for me but it is a nice product and you can't complain it is very affordable

I bought this product after seeing so many girls talk about it online. I bought both the medium and dark shade. I personally only use the gel as the powder is too light for my brows. I find that the gel doesn't sit very well on areas where theres little hair growth and it just looks very shiny. It does last a good few hours, but it will rub off if you're the type of person that tend to touch your face a lot. However I do think its a great kit for anyone thats just started doing their brows. Another thing to take note is that the colour range is very brown, therefore may not be suitable for anyone with darker eyebrows.

I absolutely loved this when I bought it. I bought the dark brown shade, and as I have platinum blonde hair it just matched perfectly. It didn't have any red tones in it, and everytime I applied it I was just so so happy.... Of course I never bothered to keep looking at it during the day (i'm one of those leave the house, don't care how my makeup ends up kind of girls...)

It took me a few months until I realized that by the time I was taking my makeup off at the end of the day, I didn't have any eyebrows still drawn on... This isn't too big of a deal, as my eyebrows aren't that sparse, but it is still a problem. It'd be nice if it stayed on a bit longer.... But what can you do. Now i've taken to just carrying it round and touching it up about halfway through the day. I probably wouldn't purchase it again and i'd try something else, but it works for now.

I bought this on a whim because my BDB pencil ran out and I haven't found where to buy them yet. Under the oh so flattering fluro lights at Kmart it looks a wee bit darker, then you remove it from its packaging and it turns out to be significantly lighter than expected. Oh well, lets try it anyway. It sets my brows reasonably well but they start to melt down my face a couple of hours later which leaves me feeling sticky and just plain gross. I wouldn't buy again, but I don't completely hate it.

For the money, it probably delivers, and being honest since I bought it, I've kept using it. It's certainly a more natural looking brow kit - give me a pencil and I do a hideous job, so for the amateur with the least brow skills, this product works for the skill level without me looking like I drew my brows on with a felt tip, or went too heavy with the product. I can get to mid afternoon with the product if I don't touch or lean on my forehead to much pondering, so it's hard to be disappointed with a product under $10... I haven't put a lot of effort into finding a great brow product as I feel like I don't have the skills for the expensive products, so this brow kit works for me..... If anything I'd probably buy again and buy a decent brow brush and it would work for me perfectly...... and that's what I'll do!
