Dove Summer Glow Review

This lotion is just like moisturiser so it doesn't turn you orange straight away like some tanners. It smells nice and does leave my skin nice and smooth. I applied several days in a row and got a slight colour change. In a way this is good because it doesn't leave tou looking fake. However, if you are looking for a darker or faster tan, I wouldn't recommend using this product.

I love this fake tan! There are probably better fake tan moisturizers out there, but for the price, this one does the job just fine! I only use this product on my legs. I have never had streaks, patches, or orange issues from this product! Even after 1-2 uses my legs look naturally tanned. The formula is moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling smooth and healthy. I don't mind the smell of this product at all - I actually really like it! I also like the simplicity of the packaging. It isn't over-done or 'trashy' - it is simple, golden, and clearly states the brand. Love everything about this product! It is as quick and simple as applying moisturizer and I have never had any problems with it!

I did buy this product with some trepidation as I have seem some rayher unfortunate home tans go horribly wrong. So, after reading the instructions I set to work. It is quite easy to apply and the cream itself is a lovely consistency and has a nice fragrance. I did this for a few days and did notice a gradual colour change. I paid special attention to the knees and back of ankles as this is where I have seen some interesting colours happening. I am really pleased with the results and not a hint of orange did I find. I will continue using this as it is not too jntense and looks very natural.

I like the natural glow this lotion gives to my skin. It's not orange or streaky, it's not glittery or shimmery, it doesn't collect around my knees or elbows, and it fades naturally without looking splotchy or uneven. I also like the fact it's a moisturiser too - I think my dry skin would experience patchiness with a true self-tanner, but no problems with this.

I do have a few issues with this product, though. Firstly, the smell. I find it really gross! It's very 'biscuit-y' in scent. Secondly, it doesn't really soak into my skin very well, and it being a tanning product, I'm always afraid I'm going to stain clothing or towels or bedsheets or furniture. It hasn't happened yet but perhaps that's because I'm careful?

I picked this up recently at the supermarket. This is the first and only self tanner I have ever used. I used to use this all the time in Summer but as I have gotten more in to makeup self tan has gotten less important. I think this is a great product for newbies to self tan like my self as it is so gradual. I picked this up in the lightest shade as I am super pale.

The packaging is super simple. Just your usual body lotion container. I like that the plastic is a light yellow which matches the glow theme. The lid also fits really tightly which is great as you don't want this to get onto other materials.

The consistency of this product is similar to any other body lotion that you might try, just a thin cream. I do find that this has a bit of a self tan chemically smell but I usually do this at night and by the time I get up in the morning I can't smell it anymore. Because the product builds up so gradually I find it is easy to make sure you don't get too much around the knees or ankles. It means that you can get a nice glow on your skin rather than a darker tan, and it only takes 2 to 3 days to build up to a nice level. Then I will reapply every second or third day to keep it up. I do find that this feels quite greasy on the skin initially but it sinks in over an hour or so. It also moisturises your skin very nicely meaning that you can have both lovely moisturised skin at the same time as producing a lovely glow, perfect for winter.

For me this isn't a product that I go out and purchase as soon as I have run out as self-tan isn't the most important thing in my beauty regime. But it is something I like to have on occasion, and for such a cheap price it isn't hard to pick it up from time to time.

It smells nice, and isn't too strong, therefore it can be used as a very gradual build up. The only problem is that considering it is also a moisturiser, it can be easy to use too much too often, and end up with the orange streaks that one tries to avoid by staying away from standard self-tanners.

This is an excellent product. It is cheap, easy to source (supermarket) and easy to apply. The low level of tint in the product means only the most careless of users can get streaks *ahemMum*. The fact it is also a moisturiser is perfect for time-poor people like me. The end colour is natural-looking and it is easy to control how dark you go. A solid all-round winner of a product.

I have used this product I don't know how many times and I love it! its a great way to build a gradual tan where you can decide how dark you wan to go. However if you don't use it right you can end up patchy. I find it's best applied straight after a shower to gain the best result. It has a very natural finish leaving you looking sun kissed and not orange.

I loved this lotion from the first use, I love the light fruity fragrance and the light consistency of this lotion and not only does it moisturise it slowly gives me a nice golden glow. It's not sticky and drys really quickly and doesn't stain my clothes, so with a little effort in exfoliating the whole body and making sure my skin is slightly damp, that's so I apply it evenly as my skin is dry and parts off me would go darker like my knees or around my ankles. This takes a few weeks to get a golden glow and for me that's using it every day but once my skin is at a nice shade I use it every second or third day and exfoliate and moisturise. It's a great product especially if you just want a hint of colour. I'm left with a nice natural look so reasonable on my wallet and much better for my skin beats baking it.

I love this product as I am naturally very pale and find it somewhat difficult to tan. I also love this product because it is easy to apply and isn't streaky nor is it blotchy like other fake tans I have tried. I use it like a moisturiser on my legs almost everyday which leaves me with a nice colour all year round :)
