Safe Reliable Choice

I tend to use a Duo lash glue these days as it's a reliable brand.

I apply it to the lash band then leave it to adhere for about 30 seconds or so before applying it just over my lash line.

It lasts all day but is also able to be removed. Although some don't advise it, I use rosehip oil to remove my lashes and wipe away excess glue as it cleans and moisturizes at the same time.

If you clean lashes straight away you can also usually remove all the glue which makes them easy to wear again.

I have also used the glue to adhere little sparkly stars around my eyes as this is a glue that is safe to use around the eyes.

In terms of in the tube: the glue lasts pretty well and doesn't dry up overnight like some.

It's a safe reliable choice - although not the cheapest it's not too expensive.

Best lash adhesive

Duo Adhesive sticks all types of lashes, from cheap to expensive, and they stay stuck! The glue is latex based, which can smell “fishy” to some people and latex allergies do happen, so please do a patch test first if you think you may have you have an allergy to latex.

I find that squeezing the tube really slowly makes it more easy to apply a thin line of adhesive to the lash strip, but if you're still battling to apply the glue straight from the tube without it turning messy, I have used a clean toothpick to lift a small amount of glue from the tube before applying the glue with the toothpick onto the eyelash strip.

I like to leave the lashes to “rest” with the glue on them for 30 – 60 seconds before applying them, as this allows the glue to become tacky and they tend to stick better.   Don’t worry about the glue being white, it does dry clear and can’t be seen once the lashes have been applied and the glue has dried completely.  I do like to go over the edge of the lashes with a gel or liquid eyeliner once the glue has dried, just to create a neat line and cover any glue residue.

I no longer trust the little (unreliable) tubes of glue that come in the boxes with most eyelashes, as I find that lashes have a tendency to become unstuck at the worst of times when using an unreliable adhesive. Duo Adhesive is now my go-to eyelash glue that I know I can trust, as lashes stay stuck until I'm ready to remove them.

Tips: Use Duo Adhesive to stick chunky glitter pieces, diamanté, little crystals or other embellishments onto your skin when you're doing fancy dress make-up
