Gorgeous palette

This palette is amazing, has a great highlight shade, a couple of matte shades and gorrrgeous shimmery shades. I love the colours of this palette and find this is one I reach for all the time and more so than my naked palette. The shadows have great pigmentation and are very smooth and easy to blend.

Tips: Pat the shimmer shades on to the lid with your finger to pack on the colour and avoid fall out.

Worth the dosh!

This is my first 'high end' makeup product that I bought by myself. And man was it worth the money! So it is pricey, I got mine from Mecca for $81 but I worked hard and saved up. If you think about it you get 10 shadows that will last for a super looong time, so it is not too much of a stretch. I save this palette for special occasions as it is so pretty, but do find myself reaching for the colour bliss on a daily basis too. My favourite colours are bliss and sunset. I love the quality of these shadows, they are very easy to blend and incredibly pigmented. Very highly recommend!

Tips: You can use these shadows wet or dry, but to make sure you don't ruin the palette be careful when using them wet. So don't dip a wet brush straight into the palette perhaps.

a must have!!

I lovs this pallete so much! When I first got this I swatched all of the colours and I must say they are super duper pigmented just on their own, even more so when used on a primer which makes the vibrancy so intense! This has all the neutral colours you will ever need with a nice balance of shimmery and matte to play up or tone down any look. I love the fact it has included the stila famous 'kitten' which is puuuuurfect for the inner corner and brow bone high light! And to be fair, a little goes a long way for most of these shades! Go out and purchase this pallete, you won't be disappointed !

Tips: Use the kitten shade as a dupe for cheekbone and cupids bow high lighter, you only need to use a little bit!

Amazing Everyday Palette

I had been tossing up on which palette to invest my money in. I wanted something easy to work with that was reasonably priced, and mostly neutrals because im no expert when i comes to eyemakeup.

Firstly, the packaging in underwhelming. I'll be honest. Its simple, and made out of cardboard which has a pretty coating, but still.. its cardboard. For spend around $50 on a palette, i would expect it to come in more durable packaging. This just means i don't want to take it travelling because i'm scared it will bend, or get damaged.

I won't go into description about the colours, because its already mentioned above, but i will say some colors have beautiful pigmentation, and a lovely buttery consistency. Other colors aren't as pigmented or buttery, but are still very usable. The colours blend really well, and so you can create a variety of looks with ease.

The colours are long-lasting. I do tend to use a primer with this eye shadow, just because its habit. When i come home at the end of the day, my eye shadow still looks the same as it did in the morning, so clearly it has some long-lasting staying power.

This palette also comes with a bonus, which is an eyeliner in Damsel. Its a great bonus because its a dark brown eyeliner, which is creamy and smooth to apply and it has long lasting power. Triple threat.

Overall, a great palette, and a great place to start out. I use this palette most days! I'm already seeing dents in some colours

I got this by a beautiful accident

I never thought I'd buy a Stila product as they seem over priced for what they are, but as a BR friend accidentally brought 2 off of a Black Friday sale I brought it off of her and went halves on the postage so it worked out that I only paid about $30 I think for the palette, bargain I know!!!

Packaging is simple but very sleek and pretty, a stiff cardboard container in a golden beige colour with the logo embossed on the lid. Inside the lid is a set in mirror and also found upon opening is a small booklet of looks which is super sweet to get a head start on some of the looks before you have a play with the colours. Another thing is that the shades are all named which I love, its a cute simple thing that I really appreciate its better than a number.

Shades are very nice and creamy to apply, not overly pigmentated but it allows them to be built up and with the addition of a eye shadow primer it makes the shadow stick faster and bolder. I found them very easy to smudge and blend to achieve the looks described in the provided booklet. Along with the brown smudge pencil which I found to be too soft and crumbled a little, this might have come from transit though becoming warmed as it got better on the 2nd application after it had sat in my palette box in the shade for a couple of days. This pencil gives a good tight eye line colour around the lower and upper lash line that smudges easily by your finger to make a great addition to a smoky eye giving it awesome debt.

The colours provided are a beautiful combination of shimmers and bolds, with my favourites being Sunset, Lustre and Night Sky. This combination makes a golden smoky dark rich smoky eye that made my steely blue eyes shimmer with the golden tints.

The only problem I have is that now I own this palette I'm going to have to get the rest of the Stila In The set

I have no words.

This is the best eyeshadow palette I've ever used. And I've used a lot.

The colours are gorgeous, pigmented, and long lasting. If you're a make up addict like me, you need this. Trust me. No questions. Just buy it.

Tips: This palette can be used for everyday to bold looks. Paired with the Stila "Stay All Day" Liquid Liner, you'll be unstoppable.

Holy Grail.

I very recently was given this as a part of an early birthday present. After reading the reviews on here I really wanted to try it as i like neutrals and I have been dying to try 'Kitten' since I first saw it.

These shadows are super buttery and soft and amazingly easy to blend. I haven't experienced any fallout with them and - when using a primer - they stay on all day. The pigmentation is incredible and the shades themselves are beyond stunning.

I really love the simplistic packaging - it reminds me of something that looks recycled - which I personally like. It comes in a brown cardboard box. The palette itself is cardboard and shuts with a magnetic closure.

Included in this is a waterproof eyeliner pencil which is AMAZING. It is super soft and really wowed me with its pigmentation. If all of the Stila liners are like this then I want to collect all of them. The liner itself is easy to blend and is a twist up, rather than a sharpening liner.

Another feature I really liked about this palette is that it comes with a little booklet that gives you instructions on how to create six different looks. This is ideal if you are stuck with what to use.

This is an amazing palette and one I absolutely love. I am super keen to try Stila's other palettes as I am so, so impressed with this. It's absolutely stunning.

Tips: My boyfriend got this for me from beautybay.com and it cost $43 AUD with free shipping.

Honestly i'd be surprised if you regretted this purchase - it's soooo beautiful. I think that the colours in this are fairly universal and I think they'd look amazing on someone with your complexion and hair colour :)

I really want to get this now. What a great review. The colours sound gorgeous. Would the colours in this suit someone with fair complexion and strawberry blond hair, as I find some colours just don't suit?

Beautiful nude palette

I bought this palette second hand so I don't have the lookbook it comes with and the eyeliner was pretty much done too. There was and still is plenty of shadow for me to play around with though!

This comes in pretty basic packaging. The whole palette is actually made of cardboard. It is quite thick though and doesn't feel flimsy at all. I do feel for the price, the packaging should be better. In saying that though, these in the... palettes are discontinued now. I think they have redone the colours slightly and put them in better packaging too so that's a bonus. This has a decent magnetised lid and when you open it up, you will see the beautiful shadows and also a small mirror.

The shadows in here are beautiful to just look at. You get some mattes and shimmers, neutrals and a bit of colour, darks and lights. I feel like you have a really good 10 colours to work with to make all kinds of different looks from very basic nude eyes to full on smokey clubbing eyes. I've really enjoyed playing around with this palette and have not been bored at all while using this every day for almost a month. My favourite colour in this is probably Bliss. It's just a light dusky, matte pink but it makes a beautiful transition shade for pretty much any look and I think I've used this every day. This palette also features a very highly talked about Stila shadow which is Kitten. It's a very shimmery, champagne colour. It is of course beautiful all over the lid. I also love sunset, which is a warm pinky shimmer that I use all over the lid as well.

You get a generous amount of each shadow, 1.4gms. I do have slight dips in a couple of shades but I'm no where near hitting pan yet. These are all quite powdery though so you need to tap off the excess before applying, I don't have any issue with fallout as long as I tap first. They all blend out really nicely and last well on my lid as long as I wear primer (I have slightly hooded lids so any shadow creases on me if I don't wear primer!). The colour in the pan is generally what you get on your lid too, with the exception of gilded gold. This colour looks like a glittery brown in the pan but I get a more red brown colour on my lid. I still like the colour, it just doesn't look the same as in the palette.

I do think this is a gorgeous palette, I would definitely recommend it especially if you don't have many neutral palettes. It can be found on special on some sites, you just might need to look around or google it to find a stockist.

Treat your eyes to a touch of luxury

I was "enabled" into buying this month's and months ago. I had no idea what the Stila brand was. Hadn't heard of it. Was just told I needed it. As I'm a good girl I said on and brought it!

Wow heck! It turned up perfectly wrapped and in perfect condition. The 1 and only thing that I don't love is the cardboard Packaging. It's not sexy! BUT it's ok cause as soon as you open it and use these shadows you will fall head over heels! So you flip the lid up and inside is a mirror on the top side with protective film. There is the plastic sheet protecting the shadows with the names on.

The shadows!! These are like rum to the coke, fish for the chips, chocolate to the cake for your eyes!! There are 10 colours. Light to black. Mattes and shimmers. Oh how I love the shimmers.ok now I no this is bad but they just make me need and want to dip my finger in and swatch them on the tip. They feel so creamy as your finger goes over the colour.

Anyway I'm not going to describe all the colours as they are listed above (and to keep my rambling down!) What I will describe is how amazing they are. So I apply with a brush and I don't need to use a primer or anything. These are so creamy they stick to my eye all day. They go on so easy, so smoothly and the important thing is they don't drop below my eye or flake off.

You can blend these so easy. You can apply so it's a light cover or foil them to a intense colour. (That's wetting the brush to apply to your skin) I like to use a angled brush and use these colours along my lash lines. Both top and bottom like a eyeliner. They last all day like this as well.

Kitten is a stunning shadow to use even as a highlight on your cheeks.

The pencil that comes with this is creamy Not a pencil pencil. It's easy to blend to use as a tool for smokey eyes.

You need this palette to make your eyes feel like they are amazing. Wee diamonds sparkling in the sky....

Tips: Find it and buy it!

In. Love.

I have never been an eye shadow girl, but one day I thought I'd give it a go. I didn't want to get just any old cheap product because I have really sensitive eye's. I went into Ballantynes in Christchurch and headed straight for Meccacosmetica staff and this is the eye shadow palate I ended up purchasing. I am absolutely in love with this and WILL be repurchasing. It comes with a smudge proof eye liner and a mini "Look book". Be make up purchase I have made!

Tips: Buy it and get creative!
