Great Primer.

I love Lorac! This primer was a freebie I got with my Unzipped palette. At $21 it isn't something I would have purchased - as my holy grail eye primer is from ELF. Nevertheless I was super excited to try this as I am a huge fan of Lorac shadows.

As with other Lorac products, this comes in an attractive tube. I like that Lorac's products always look chic and not over designed. This is no exception. This is a tube and has a screw off lid. The tube is easy to squeeze and I imagine you could cut it when you are nearly at the end of the primer and want every last bit ;)

The primer itself has the consistency of a slightly sticky concealer (although the primer is a bit thinner than most concealers). It definitely has a tacky finish once buffed into your lid - which is something I like as it makes the shadows adhere to your lids. It blends out to your skin colour and doesn't have any noticeable scent.

Unlike the rest of my face, my eyelids are quite oily and this can be a problem when using shadows. If I don't use a primer then they will definitely crease. Because this has a tacky feel I was concerned that this would make my kids oiler and that the shadows would crease.

I was wrong. This absolutely stops my shadows from creasing and prolongs the wear of my shadows. I can easily get 12 hours of wear with no issues whilst wearing this.

This is a fantastic primer and I would recommend it if you are looking for a 'higher end' primer, or if you get one of these free with a palette. The only reason this doesn't get a solid 5 stars is because of the price. Whilst I really do like this primer, I am going to stick to purchasing my ELFS one as it is way, way cheaper and does just a good as job as this one does (on my lids anyway).

Tips: Use a small amount - a drop about the size of a pea will suffice for both lids and under your under eye lashes. Make sure you blend it in.

Good eye primer!

I have this due to it coming with the Lorac Pro palette I was gifted from a beautiful BRA. I have only previously tried Urban Decay and Benefit's eye primers. Due to having oily lids I find priming quite essential if I want my shadow to last.

A small amount goes a long way. It's not as thick as Urban Decays product and blends easily on my lid. It has a smooth silicon feel and dries down quickly. It's white but once spread it doesn't leave the area with any colour but it does even out any discolouration slightly.

Shadow blends easily overtop and prolongs my shadows well. I find it performs better then other primers I've used. I would definitely reconsider buying a full size when this runs out (but I think this small tube will last me a long time!)

Tips: Pat a small amount on your lid and up above your crease, I blend right to the brow bone but concentrate on the lid, patting slightly under the eye area can help with your concealer not creasing too!

Good but not great eye primer

This is a good primer- it does definitely help with staying power and is a good base for shadows. It is easy to apply over and helps with blending but doesn't add much vibrancy. I tend to reach for my nars ahead of this one though. The packaging is ok, easy to apply. I probably wouldn't Re purchase but it is still a good product.

Tips: Use a decent amount and blend with fingertips.

Not bad

To be honest I am not 100% sold on eye primers. I use them, but they're not essential for me. The lorac behind the scenes primer is fine, you only need a little bit and it blends easily. It is not dissimilar to Urban Decay Primer Potion or Elf shadow primer. I think it does aid a little bit in making the shadows stick to the lid more. I have the sample size from the lorac product. I use it and it works fine, but I will unlikely buy again.

A so-so product

I got a deluxe sample of this primer with my Lorac Unzipped palette and I was so excited to try this out as a lot of people love it. I've used it about 4 times now and I'm not overly impressed with it. It's a cream coloured slightly liquidy texture, it feels a bit greasy and ends up transparent when you apply it. I had trouble blending eyeshadows over this - they looked cakey and shadows didn't blend together ending up muddy looking. Even when I used this with the Lorac palette the same thing happened. Wear time okay and it doesn't seem to crease much on my oily lids but I have drugstore primers that do a much better job than this. The way this preforms could be because I have oily lids but I will keep experimenting with it to see if I can get it to work somehow.

Very good

I got a sample tube with my Lorac pro as well and I find that it works best with lorac eyeshadows. The texture of this primer is like a soft gel (not like the liquidy eye primers). It doesn't make shadows look more vibrant but it helps with staying power. I have oily lids and had no problems with eyeshadow fading.

Great Primer

I have a mini tube of this, which came with my lorac pro palette and I have to say I am impressed.

I find this primer really does help eye shadow stay on longer, stops creasing and fallout and produces more vibrant looks. It is nice and light to wear and not like some bases which can feel quite heavy on the eyelid. As with other eye primers only a little bit is needed so a little tube will last you a decent time.

Definitely recommend and something I'm sure I will repurchase.
