Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Review

I love this powder! Although I don’t use daily I love to use on special occasions to give my face a glowy luminous effect and it does a fantastic job at that!

I have Dim Light in the travel size and I love it. I wear tinted moisturiser sometimes and when I use this as my face powder, it give such a luminous soft focus effect. No shimmer or sparkle, just glow. It's an extremely fine, smooth powder and it never clings to any dry patches I might have. I have a tan olive skin tone and this shade works well for me. I also build it up on my cheekbones as a highlighter which I love the look of. Makes my skin look perfected. The compact is an elegant bronze in a sleek square shape. It even has a mirror in the lid, which I appreciate when I'm on the go. Couldn't be happier!

I dont usually wear powder, just BB Cream or a light foundation, but wanted to try this to see if it would blur my large pores and even out my skin tone. Purchased the smaller travel size from Mecca in the dim light shade. The mini compact is a flip top square with a mirror in the lid, you will need to purchase a brush. I used a little Nude by Nature kabuki brush. This powder is very lightweight and translucent but is good at blurring any light imperfections and pores. Just keep applying until you get the right effect you need. Use for highlighting cheeks as well. Gives face a nice subtle glow. Try the smaller size first to give it a go. Would recommend.

I purchased one of these from Mecca, one of the small guys initially just to try before investing in the palette. I always thought this must be over hyped how can it be that good it’s just a highlighter but boy I was wrong! This is the most beautiful highlighter I have ever used. It’s so finely milled that it really looks like a natural glow no chunks of glitter. It applies so easily I go between a fan brush and a tapered brush and both work well. If you like a real bright highlight you can build it up or if you just want something to give dimension to the face this product will get the job done! There’s a reasonable shade range although as with most brands they do lack in shades for deeper skin tones although, maybe they weren’t displayed at my local store. If you are new to make up this highlighter is perfect because you really can’t mess it up I know the price tag is hefty but worth it in my opinion. I like the packaging too it’s simple but sleek feels good in the hand. 10/10 recommend!

I am currently using 'Mood Light' in this range. It is a soft pinky shade, and makes the perfect barely there blush/ highlight for my skin tone. I also use it on the brow bone and a light sweep down the bridge of my nose. Works well as a soft but glowy eyeshadow colour too. Lasts forever!! Have had for a couple of years now, use it 4-5 times a week and I'm yet to see the bottom if the compact. Packaging is great, nice a sturdy, with a mirror inside.

This is the most beautiful product! I have fair skin and this is a perfect colour match for me. It sets my skin beautifully and gives it a lovely airbrushed look, I use a dense brush to apply all over or if I want the really airbrused look then use a puff to press it into the skin. These last a really long time and are worth the investment.
