I got these in shades Dim Light and Diffused light. Dim Light left a stunning smooth finish to the skin however on me the colour would show up. I am quite pale (Mac NC15, Sheer glow Gobi, Revlon colourstay Buff, Estee Lauder double wear in bone.) so could use this as a subtle bronzer/contour powder but not all over. Diffused Light, was more up my alley as a finishing powder and it does really do a great job at diffusing fines lines and making them less noticeable, it has a slight sparkle in the pan that doesn't not visibly transfer to the skin but just helps to reflect the light a little.

Tips: Love it but not a must have
This powder was light on the skin and didn't make my face feel heavy even when atop a cream/liquid base. It also adds the most amazing shine - although for a good glow, quite a bit of product needs to be applied as the pigmentation is the best.
its gives your skin a beautiful glow from within look and does not cling to any dry patches, I would probably not purchase again as the price seems too high in my opinion for something that does not really show up well but i will continue to use it.
Tips: buy the mini version it is much more worth it.
I had a wee splurge and purchased some hourglass products that I have been wanting to try for years because they are huge favorites of many people on social media you tube however because of the price of these stunning products I held off purchasing but I'm so excited to have them in my collection now! Hourglass products are very much a luxurious brand and cost a pretty penny. The packaging of these powders are amazing very sturdy and look stunning. I have the shades Dim Light (Neutral Beige) and Soft Light (Pale Peach) both look stunning on I wish they had a tad more pigmentation for a bit more coverage but they are finishing powders so not made for alot of coverage, this would be my only reason for not repurchasing once I have finished them just because I do like a wee bit of coverage with my powders and like them to set my cream products, finishing powders don't set cream products the best but again they are not really intended for that purpose they are just to diffuse the skin for a beautiful light finish, none the less these are still stunning. These powders have a really interesting formula they feel very light and airy and glide over the skin. I would only recommend these powders if you use finishing powders alot in your routine and have the cash to splash.
Tips: These powders are perfect for using when you have used a very pigmented blush and want to buff it out to to diffuse the blush, also great for blending eye shadows with to get that seemless blend below your brow.
Wow. I was so excited to finally purchase this product, as Hourglass is a pricey brand. I did only manage to purchase the mini size, however I would recommend doing this with more expensive brands, to test the product before committing to the full size. I purchased the shade Dim Light. This works well when I have fake tan on, however it's too dark and warm toned for when I'm not tan. The range only has a couple of other shades, which is not a large selection.
Other than that this product is amazing. All it takes is a light dusting to provide your skin with a luminous glow. Although this skin provides a glowing and dewy finish, it does not emphasise pores or texture. If anything it minimises pores. It makes your skin look healthy, which pairs great with a foundation that may have mattified your skin and made it look too flat and one dimensional.
Love this for setting my makeup. I have dry / combo skin and this gives my makeup such a natural radiant finish without looking cakey or oily.
Tips: I dont use it to set under the eyes, but it is beautiful around the perimeters of the face.
I love setting powder so much, it blurs yours pores evens out. I got the travel size of this not so long ago and I have just recently bought my second one of these. This has to be one of my favourite powders and I do recommend this as it is my fav makeup piece in my makeup routine!!
I first tried one of the ambient lighting powders at Mecca Cosmetica. It gave me a lovely finish to my skin, and not surprisingly is nicknamed "Photoshop for the face". I wanted to try these again, and when on holiday in the US discovered there is a palette of 3 powders available from Sephora. I promptly picked this up and have fallen in love! The three shades are dim light, incandescent light and radiant light. Dim light is a nude powder which I use as a face powder all over my face. I use this powder very lightly, including to set concealer, and liken it to Mac's mineralise skin finish powder. Incandescent light is a white, shimmery, fine glittery powder which I use to highlight the top of my cheek bones. Radiant light is slightly more bronze and I use this as a light all over face bronzer. Thanks to this one powder, I have now become comfortable with using bronzer and even use other brands of bronzer on my face. I apply this with the Real Techniques blush brush which is big, soft and fluffy.
I'm extremely happy with this palette and now want the newly released Hourglass blush palette!
Tips: Buy the palette of three powders from Sephora. It's a great way to try more than one and so convenient for on the go!
I purchased this powder after hearing all of the rave reviews on youtube. After doing quite a bit of research (as I always do when spending that much money on makeup) I settled on Diffused Light. The reason that I got this shade was because I have a wee (ok a lot) of redness on my cheeks. This shade is a pale yellow and said to conceal redness.
The packaging is great I find that it is very sturdy, yet not too big. Great for travelling and I have had no problems with any breakage. It has a large mirror in the lid also which is nice.
Onto the product itself. Yes I think this is brilliant. The powder it self is very 'finely milled' (you can tell I watch too much youtube). But it means the product goes onto the skin very nicely. I use this product in two ways. I like to do a light dusting over my face with a fluffy brush and it seems to blur the redness and imperfections. It is hard to describe as even when I look at my own face I can't really see it but I can tell when I haven't used it. Recently I have also been using this with a more dense brush and it makes a lovely subtle highlighter. It has a wee bit of sparkle which isn't noticeable when lightly put over your face but when used in a more concentrated way it is lovely.
Overall I love this product and will consider buying more of these powders. Please however if you are considering purchasing this do your research and pick what powder will do the most for you.
Tips: Be careful with your expectations of this powder. It doesn't give coverage, or set makeup particularly well. But it does give an effect I haven't found in any other make up product.
I have a warm based, medium skin tone and whenever I use this product, it instantly turns my cheeks ashy and have to restart my makeup. The finish is really lovely and I really would love to buy this in another colour
Tips: Strongly suggest trying it in store before purchasing to make sure it suits your colouring
