Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

I have been using this foundation for a few years now and I can not find anything better, I love this foundation. This is one of the only foundations I have found that does exactly what it says. It has amazing coverage, covering all my imperfections. Applies beautifully and lasts the day, no need to reapply at any point of the day or night.

A small amount goes a long way and covers the whole face

This is a very full coverage make up, whilst I don't use it anymore because I find the foundation is a bit to thick for me now days. It was a staple when I was a teenager (I am now 24). It would cover even the biggest red blotch that I had on my face for a smooth finish. I wouldn't say this is a very natural make up as its full coverage, but it is buildable. It is one of the best foundations if you are after staying power! It would last from the beginning of class at uni till the very end! I would sometimes mix it in with my moisturiser in order to make it a bit lighter for every day.

I used to use this when the matte look was in and when my skin needed the full coverage. It comes in a luxurious feeling glass bottle and is definitely a full coverage makeup.

My skin has improved since and I prefer a lighter coverage so I'm not using this one as much. It definitely works well though if you are after a full coverage foundation that doesn't budge all day. It doesn't look very natural because it's so full coverage but it will cover essentially everything and leave you with very matte skin.

I find you need to work fairly quickly with it though because it can set and be streaky if you want to build it later.

This foundation really is a long wear product it lasts all day and into early evening, it outlives all the other products you use on face with it! For a long wearing product you would think it would be thick cakey, but it glides onto the face and is very buildable. Does not dry out the face and it covers all imperfections of have any. Does not stick to dry spots or any pimples if happen to have any. An essential item to have in makeup collection especially for those times you are attending an event that goes late into the night.

I used this foundation for YEARS after struggling to find one that would stay on all day. I've reluctantly recently switched foundations after realising I was matched in the wrong shade....it lasts really well on the skin but doesn't make it look cakey. Also don't love that it doesn't have a pump, so it feels pretty messy

There is a reason this is so highly rated! Glides on beautifully to give a full coverage without looking cakey and lasts all day. Foundation is one thing I never skimp on - this product isn’t exactly budget friendly but the results are worth it. Does what it says it does!

This is quite pricey, but you do get what you pay for! This foundation lasts SO long, morning to night without a smudge! Super impressive staying power. However if not blended properly it can look a little bit cakey. It doesnt seem to oxidize on my skin which is very good as I usually end up a little orange by the end of the day with other foundations, but not with this. You can tell the bottle is made of good glass quality. The packaging is also sleek and classy. I use this foundation mainly on a night out, and love it. A flaw for me is that if I use it too often, I will break out but I think that's because it is quite heavy.

This foundation is great for coverage and long wear. It’s definitely NOT a foundation for your everyday minimal/ fresh coverage gals out there! I find it similar to Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation. It’s very matte and once dried- it’s heckin plastered there until you decide to take it off! It is expensive if you are using every day and power through it. Other than that, it does what it claims to do. Great for bridal or special events for photos being taken.

Provides a great full coverage foundation, great for oily skin or t zone. Lasts me from the morning to evening with only a slight tinge of my redness coming through on my cheeks. Can make dry skin look a little textured

Fantastic for oily skin, do not use for dry skin. My skin was so oily even in this you would see the oil come through after a few hours, this was the only foundation I could use and it made my skin look flawless!! never got caught in my pores and covered all my acne. However, as iv'e aged my skin has got less oily and now it catches a lot making my skin look wrinkly and caked. THIS IS A VERY FULL COVERAGE AND MATTE!!! and needs to be washed off fully before going to sleep. It is hard to take off but the bonus is that once it's on it doesn't budge
