I had purchased this on the beauty vault and was really excited for it to finally arrive. When it did and I did the swatches I was quite annoyed at myself because I definitely picked the wrong shade. I definitely should've gone lighter because this doesn't really work for my skin if I don't have fake tan on. I'd say I could probably get away with a light application of the bronzer and contour shade but the highlight shade is way too dark and a little bit peachy for my liking.

Tips: Apply before powder and make sure to blend!
I'm very inexperienced with contour but wanted to try. This one comes with bronze, contour and highlighter shades. I have the 'Medium' shade palette. When swatching it looks quite pigmented. I've followed the tutorial online and can see that it works in the video but my first attempt I didn't notice much on me. The highlight is super suttle. The contour is slightly more obvious and the bronzer barely noticeable. Not sure if it's my technique that is the problem or the product.
After using this a couple more times over the past few weeks, I enjoy the highlighter. I'm more confident at using the bronzer and contour shades. As an intro palette for beginners like me I think this is a pretty good starting product. I picked mine up on sale which is fine, wouldn't have paid full price for this though.
I was interested to see what a cream contour kit was like, as I usually tend towards powders.
The kit is well presented in its packaging, with a shimmery highlighter, a matte contour and a slightly shimmery bronzer.
When applying these shades over foundation, I found they were quite muddy.
They did however shine through more on skin that didn't have foundation and could then be set with a powder.
So for me, I would use this on a day when I was giving my skin a break from full on make up, but slight wanted to highlight my features. But for a full face I prefer powders.
The instructions of use also were very average, only covering where to apply the contour. I also like a brush to be provided with a kit, so that I don't have to remember to take a brush when I'm on the go.
I haven't tried contouring at all just because I don't really like the look of it on me but I just wanted to test it out a little and see if a cream contour could change my mind. The highlighter is okay but maybe a little too dark for me and I'm sort of fair skinned but in the summer it might look more natural. The contour colours are so hard to blend, but I didn't have a proper contour brush so maybe that's the problem. I think I either need to try a stick contour for more control and if you're a beginner like me I don't think a cream contour in a pan is a good/easy place to begin. All opinions aside I think the product is okay but for the price I don't think it's worth it.
I thought this product would be a great drugstore cream contour product after watching some sponsored review videos but unfortunately this product is just a dud. It does not blend easily and looks patchy/ muddy on the skin. When applying this product it drag and removes the foundation underneath which really annoys me. The shade combination is right but just not the formula.
I really wasn't blown away by this contour palette. I wanted to love it, the shades were the right colour and would have been amazing if only it was more pigmented as i feel as if you have to use a lot of product to get what you want out of this contour palette. When swatching the colours nothing showed up that you had to rub your finger across it many times. I think personally I would rather use three individual stick products than the pans.
Tips: This might be good for a beginner who wants to use something quite subtle to start out with, however you could probably get something better for that price.
I was so happy to secure my first cream contouring kit. This year I have really gotten on the contouring wagon and I'm loving it. I've never had any previous experience with cream contouring. As soon as I got it I swatched it immediately. I was so excited.
There's three seperate pans on this pallette. The first is a cream highlighter . The consistency of it is smooth with a very mild shimmering glow. No sparkly bits of glitter which I like. The second pan is the contouring pan. It's creamy and is a matte brown. The third bronzer is also creamy with a shimmering brown shift to it.
Application suggest to contour hollows of cheeks around the forehead and around the nose. I like to highlight down my nose, above my cheeks and upper lip for a blinding light . For a subtle glow I just do the tip of my nose , light on forehead and cheeks. For a stronger bronze I go over the cheek bones with the bronzer.
After trying this contour kit I was highly impressed with the finish of it. It lasts me all day long without a setting spray. The contouring pans are pigmented. The highlight isn't blinding but just enough for a natural glow. I didn't get any movement with my foundation. I blend with blender and brush.
Overall I was happy with the end result of my contouring. I think it would be great for anyone who's starting out with contouring. Price wise it's fair. I'm thankful to have gotten this from the Beauty Vault. Thanks team .
