Great quality at a great price

Im pretty new to contouring, I have a few bronzers but never tried to contour my face properly. Until I found this beauty.

It is similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit and although I have not tried the Anastasia contour kit - I have heard it is a pretty good dupe! The palette comes in a slim black plastic package with no mirror, which is possibly why they are able to sell it for such a good price, as you are pretty much only paying for the product and no extras.

I have a medium skin tone and wear both liquid and powder foundation and the palette has all the perfect shades for me. The powders themselves are quite powdery and after using it about 4 or 5 times I noticed that I made quite a dent in the palette already! Im hoping I dont hit pan, but since you dont need much product at all to get a good colour pay off - i dont think it will happen soon.

If you are new to contouring (like me) then make good use of the tips on the back of the pack! And i definitely recommend to use a light hand and a good brush as the shades are very pigmented so a little goes a long way.

Overall, I am stoked with the product and it is incredible value for money

Great for contour, highlighting and other

I love my Australis AC on tour kit. I brought mine from beautybliss.co.nz. I have heard so much about the Anatasia Beverly hills contour kit and wanted to get my hands on it BUT it was so darn expensive. Then! I saw that the Australis one was way more affordable so I had to get it. I have found it works in many ways and the quality and price is so so great. I use the brown shades to contour my cheek bones and nose mainly. I use the banana colour to set and highlight my under eyes area. I use the highlighter for my brow bone, cheeks and inner corner of my eyes. But that's not all this kit is also good as a bronzer and eye shadow (transition colour, under eye colour and deepening the outter socket of the eye for smoky eye effect) Definitely re purchasing

Love love love

I just got this last week (finally) after having it on back order. It is so reasonably priced, compared to the ABH version, and I just love using it.

depending on how dramatic or subtle I want my contouring to be, I have the shades to try it either way. the banana powder looks great as a setting powder under my eyes and the soft highlighter is perfect for cheekbones and cupids bow. I am still playing around with this, but i have notices that, with the darker contour colours, you tend to pick up more product on the brush than is needed. So definitely something worth paying attention to there. There are a huge amount of youtube tutorials online on how to use this product, and there are some basic instructions on the back of the packaging.

I had only ever contoured with cream, products before, which worked well, but tended to make me feel a bit greasy a few hours in, and moved around a bit much. So this is perfect for me.

Tips: Tap any excess off your brush before using, the brushes tend to pick up too much product. quickly go over your liquid foundation with a setting powder before contouring and highlighting, it makes it a dream to blend.

Australis AC On Tour Kit

My daughter have been searching for these high an low for months. We were about to give up when while waiting for hubby the other day I stumbled onto them at our local Farmers store! They came in that morning and there was only 2 sets left --- so pix message my live in makeup artist and she said both pls!! Sceptical me thought ok hv 2 of these now lets test drive it! WOW easy on easy blend and man im no super model but this trick made a difference. Easy to blend over foundation and just "dusting" it on by following the directions on the back. Nice sleek black lockable plastic case and consist of 6 colours - 3 for shading and 3 for highlighting. No Pro yet but think I might get there soon. So baby lost out on the spare - Its now propped up on my makeup table. Great price compared to others out there - if you can find them.

Tips: Dust and blend blend blend!! Takes a little practice but don't be put off if you don't get it right first time - trial and error - keep on trying and blend blend blend with a nice soft clean brush

australis ac on tour contour kit

i rceived my palette 2 weeks ago,and i am in love with it.on first impression the colours are very pigmented,3 contour colours and 3 highlight colours.i placed the lightest highlight colour lightly over my face (except under my eyes) as a face brightener, you can not use alot, as a little goes a long way.The yellow (banana) powder i used a small amount on a fluffy brush under my eyes,i found it never sat in my undereye lines, but if i had used alot of product on my brush it would have been too cakey. The 3 contour colours are also very useable,i used 1of them to contour my cheekbones and jawline,it blended in very well and can be buildable.if you are a beginner there is a diagram on the back of the palette to show you how to use it,thats a great idea for beginners, the only thing i wish there was a mirror in the palette, the plastic case looks cheap, but the products work very well.

Tips: make sure you do not overload your brush, and tapp off any excess before application

Great for the price!

I finally got this contour kit after it was sold out here in NZ for months! I paid NZ$25 including shipping. For me personally, it is worth buying. The ABH contour kit is NZ$80+, and I can't even fathom getting the Kat Von D Shade Light kit because shipping would be exorbitant to NZ plus having to use a ship-it-to website. This had pretty good reviews that I had seen. Pigmentation is amazing, literally only need to dip your brush in very lightly. It is a tad powdery, but easy to blend out. The middle greyish colour is great for under my cheeks to carve out a hollow, it has 2 more bronzey type shades that work pretty well for that purpose, the yellow banana powder is nice and doesn't crease under my eyes, the matte white is good for highlighting my forehead and chin where I don't want shine but still want it to stand out, and the shimmery highlight is great for above the cheekbones. I use every one of the shades in this kit and I love it. If you can't bear the thought of spending nearly $100 on one makeup item/kit, this is a great alternative!

Contour & Highlight

I brought this when I went to Australia and brought this, as I had heard it was good and cheap. I found that this was really good. I love it. I use this every day. Though I found that the powders went everywhere and had a lot of excess on the brush after a few swipes. I loved how on the back on the packaging it had a step by step guide showing you how to contour and highlight. I fount this really helpful as I am still learning. The packaging did feel like it would snap quite easily. I would buy this again.

Tips: Really good for beginners

Works for me

This product had a lot of mixed reviews! But it was also still raved about so I bought it during the big hype and read many reviews before I used it. I soon learned you had to be very light handed at application and even by hardly touching the pan with your brush and even tapping your brush aswel. I can see how it would look very muddy on certain skin tones but I say if it works for your skin just roll with it. Iv had some bad days where I forgot the light handed rule and looks like a muddy mess but other days my contour is so on point ! I wouldn't use this in a makeup artistary kit as you never know how the persons skin is going to react with it. Go for self use only :)

Tips: May your hand be as light as a feather !

Be very careful!

I am no expert in contour and highlighting so I figured I need to learn if I wanted to improve my makeup techniques. What better to learn than with a palette that is cheap, has rave reviews and would be perfect for beginners like me?

The palette cost me $20 which is think is pretty cheap for what it offers. I honestly never saw this palette in person so I had no expectations and had no idea what I was in for, I just know that I had to have it.

Packaging: The palette is medium sized housed in black case which is not the best quality makeup packaging but I wasnt expecting wonders with only pay $20. I will on opening the palette it doesnt have a mirror which is disappointing but understood given the price.

First impression: There are 6 available shades of which 3 is for highlight and 3 for contour. 2 of the contour shades are warm with an orange undertone and 1 has a grey undertone making it warm. Sadly I wont be using the warm shades as my skin tone looks horrible against orange shades therefore the only shade I've been playing with is the cool contour shade. I love all the highlighter shades even though 2 are matte and 1 is a shimmer. The shimmer is perfect as a highlight on the cheek bone. The matte shades have 1 peach tone and 1 banana tone. I only use the banana tone under my eyes as the peach doesnt suit my skin tone.

Quality: I was amazed when I swatched all the shades at how pigmented they are. You just need a little for a dark pigment. The tones are all powder but when you blend them they turn into a buttery consistency. Its is so easy to go overboard with these powders but remember a little goes a long way and its so easy to use too much product and spend hours trying to blend it out.

Blending: All the shades blend like a dream. Like i said you need the smallest amount, so take your brush and just dab it onto the colour and that will be more than it enough. The colours are not only blendable but easily buildable. So start off with a little and build your way to your desired shade. The first time using this palette I give my brushes a good coating with the product and instantly hated the effect on my skin because it was too much.

When I become more comfortable contouring I will invest in better qualify palette as a beginner I have no business buying high end palette. I would recommend this palette to anybody who is learning to contour because the commitment is cheap. If you dont like it and especially when you have no idea what to do then you havent wasted any money.

Tips: Every beginner needs to start off with this palette and work their up into high end palettes.

Wasnt amazed....

I got this kit about a month ago as i saw a few makeup artist on inst raving about it.... im not a fan to be honest. I like the highlighter powder but not a fan on the dark powders. I find the colours very dark and even using a light dusting of it on your brush it almost looks dirty and are hard to blend. Would not reccommend this palette for someone with fair skin. Would work for a darker skin tone.
