NYX Professional Makeup BB Cream Review

I'll begin by saying that I'm a BB cream newbie. I don't use foundation (just concealer) and I wanted to ease my way into making the most of my fair complexion, so I opted for a BB cream instead. I'm so glad I chose THIS particular BB cream because I love it! It goes on smoothly and evenly and gives really good coverage (more than I expected anyway). The tube is a decent size and you don't need much so I can see this being great value for money. I used a primer underneath, just in case, and I put a little extra on beneath my eyes to take some of the pressure off my concealer (I have quite dark genetic under-eye circles and a few fine lines and wrinkles around that area as well). I'm so surprised by the coverage! I barely had to add any concealer at all yet it never looks cakey or foundation-y. The best part is, it lasts the whole day - from 8am to 10pm - without fading, bleeding or shifting at all. Feels like I'm onto a winner here - I'll definitely be re-purchasing.

This is the first product I have finished in a while! This winter I have struggled with very dry skin, with most products feeling drying or looking flaky.

Then I found this product at farmers, swatched it on my wrist and was impressed by how it blended and brightened my skin. I bought #02 Natural - which has been a great match for my light cool/natural skin tone.

Pros: - Made my dry skin look and feel hydrated - healthy, luminous glow - but not overly dewy/wet looking (like less dewy than the maybelline fit me dewy&smooth;) - doesn’t cling to dry patches - don’t need a primer and it lasts my whole working day - bronzer and highlight look gorgeous on top

I think the packaging is a little boring. Hence why I almost walked past it in the store. But the product is very smoothing, blends well with fingers or brush. I recommend giving this a go for a fresh, everyday, bright and healthy complexion.

I wouldn't change anything about this BB cream.

I have the shade nude and find it works well with my very pale skin. I also have very dry and dull skin so I find this helps to make my skin look a bit plumper and less dry. I like that it doesn't have SPF in it because I'm not afraid of flashback in photos.

I apply it with my fingers. I'm not sure if I would use a beauty sponge or brush with it as it quite thin and could be absorbed quite easily into a brush/sponge.

I picked this up online for $20. It comes in a 30ml tube with a screw lid. It is easy to squeeze the right amount of product out each time. There are 3 shades. I got the shade nude and it is lovely and light and is a perfect match for my skin which is hard for me to find usually.

The product is slightly runny. It applies like a dream. Glides on my skin and blends in like magic. I apply using my fingers and it feels like applying moisturiser. I really love that it feels like I have nothing on my face. It evens my skin out so well and on me it has medium coverage. It is buildable and never goes cakey.

I have red, dry skin. It does not stick to my dry areas at all and the redness is covered. It makes my face look quite flawless. It lasts all day on me and I get no transfer which is great. It does not leave me with a sticky face and dries pretty quickly after applying.

For only $20 I am really impressed and it will become my everyday BB cream if it continues to work so well on me. I have had no breakouts while using this. Love it!

I often struggle to find a bb cream that is light enough for my skin tone and this one is. There is 3 shades for the bb cream and I had the lightest one, I found it really blends in well and is light coverage but isn't too light that you can't tell its on. It evens out the skin tone and makes your skin look flawless and fresh. I just wish that the bb cream had an SPF with it.

I'm not sure if this BB cream comes in multiple shades or not, but the shade that I have is 'Nude' and it's quite light, definitely for lighter skin tones. It's a little too light for me, but i've used it heaps anyway.

This is quite a light consistency and coverage BB cream, noticeably lighter than others i've used. I find that using my fingers to apply and blend this BB cream works best. It feels light on my skin, and makes my skin look smooth and hydrated.

This isn't a favourite BB cream for me, but I do quite like it and would probably repurchase if it was on special.

This is a BB cream that provides light coverage - lighter than a foundation. I really like the NYX brand, and I was actually looking for a makeup primer when I came across this. As I am very pale, the shade I chose is BBCR01.

Although a BB cream, it claims to function as a primer as well. I have tried wearing it both on its own, and under foundation. As a BB cream it is quite sheer, but it has a nice texture and it goes on smoothly and evenly. It feels soft and hydrating, although I have not noticed it brightening my skin like it claims to.

As a primer it seems to work okay. I could not tell if it helped my foundation to stay in place longer, but it did provide an extra layer of coverage underneath my foundation.

On its own it is long-wearing and lasts all day. I have never noticed it to wear off unless I have actually rubbed my face.

Altogether a great product if you are looking for a BB cream to wear over the summer months.

I was after a light formula BB Cream to wear over summer, something with SPF coverage but also a light feel and long wear.

This product is alright and I would say worth the price (I paid about $12). The packaging is simple in a soft tube with classic NYX styled design in the label. It is a good size and is still lasting me even though I brought it a few months ago and have been using it basically every day.

It applies well and feels like velvet on your skin, once it has settled on my skin it has a very light coverage, but still noticeably evens out my skin tone. One issue I have found, and this is probably because I didn't choose the right shade, is that it has quite a pinky undertone, whereas my skin is yellow based so I usually have to bronze up with powder so I don't look too mismatched. It wears ok by itself but what I have found great is applying it under my foundation as a primer/moisturiser/sunscreen. If you are someone who gets burnt easily I would recommend something with a higher SPF as this is only SPF15, but for me it works great in protecting but also nourishing my skin.

I would use this again and am happy with it but would be open to trying other BB Creams to compare. Worth trying out for yourself.
