Garnier BB Cream - Sensitive Review - Medium

Being 50+ and being a little sensitive around the cheek area is clearly an issue for me. This variation of BB cream has an active ingredient called Allantoin which has been used for skin irritations such as dryness, redness, rosacea and even used as an anti ageing product, hence why I chose this one for the trial. The medium shade I chose blended perfectly well with my skin tone, The gel like texture is lightweight spreads very easily (I used my fingers with no problem) and I noticed was there was very little fragrance. I used it five mornings in a row and not once did I experience any irritation. It felt very lightweight, and my skin did not experience any dryness in fact it felt moisturised and soft. I tried it without moisturiser first which was absolutely fine and had no issues. Then I tried it after applying a moisturiser (I used an oil based one) and that didn't work out as well because the BB cream just seemed to smear and I ended up with a greasy patchy mess. It does not give a full coverage. The packaging says it is a sheer coverage and that's exactly what it does.You can apply a second application after the first dries for more coverage which is what I did, then I applied a mineral powder over the top and it looked flawless and smooth, except my spots from previous sun damage was still quite clearly visible. Unfortunately it did not on any of the five days last all day. By 1.30pm I needed to re apply, which I just don't have time to do when I am busy at work, but my skin still felt smooth and quite hydrated despite all that. I prefer my daily face creams to have an SPF of at least 30 but in this case the sun factor of just 15 in this cream is protection enough for the sensitive ones and I'm fine with that. The packaging is very detailed about its contents, active ingredients and instructions are simple and easy to follow. The tube of 50ml is the squeezing type and not the pump application and a couple of times I accidentally squeezed too much out and so the excess was totally wasted. I would certainly buy this product again after trialling it. You seriously only need to use a small amount at a time which means this 50ml tube is certainly going to last a very good while and for the price of $17.45 that is such good value. So it doesn't stay on all day but that can easily be rectified by reapplication. It does most of what it claims to do. A great daily All-In-One soothing, reliable, non irritating cream for those who like myself prefer a sheer flawless finish.

I received this for the trial in shade light and it's the perfect colour for me. My skins moisture levels are pretty normal but it is sensitive and prone to drying around the eyes and chin and I am mostly concerned with covering up old acne scarring and evening out my skin tone.

I was a bit dubious at trying this bb cream as I tried western bb creams when they began coming out years ago and was disappointed when they seemed just like tinted moisturisers, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one! Consistency wise, it's not as thick as Asian bb creams but it is still thicker than other western options I've tried. It feels nice and creamy going on, leaving a light, hydrated feeling on the skin. It doesn't have any obvious fragrance, only a minor scent of sunscreen, which is good as my eyes are very sensitive to fragrance.

I have worn this by itself, as my foundation and as a primer/base layer under my foundation. I've also applied it three ways- with my fingers, a buffing brush and a beauty blender. I did not enjoy it by itself or applied with my fingers at all. By itself it began to disappear after about three hours, making marks visible and when I applied it with my fingers after moisturising it beaded up into rolls so I had to remove and start over- that's when I discovered my favourite method for applying this, with a buffing brush. The buffing brush and beauty blender both applied the bb cream beautifully, with the blender sheering it out coverage wise whereas with the buffing brush it crated a really lovely coverage similar to a light foundation. With the rat of my makeup over top- liquid foundation or setting powder- the longevity was significantly increased! It lasted all day whilst at work, which in retail is a good achievement. I only needed a slight touch up before going out later that night. I really love this under my makeup as it gives my complexion a really lovely glow whilst moisturising and soothing my skin, so I'll definitely keep using it for that reason. I feel it will be really nice for during summer as well, when you want something lighter on the skin.

I'm not sure if a saw any results from the claims of reducing redness or evening skin tone as I'm using rosehip oil at night to diminish scarring.

I'm still not a western bb cream convert as I find Asian bb creams much more affordable, superb quality and the packaging much nicer. This packaging does nothing for me, it's fairly simple and I really prefer pumps over tubes. It is however a good option for those who want a bb cream that is readily available in the stores here and more than just a tinted moisturiser.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream is so lightweight to apply - feels great on your skin, really hydrating. It looked dark in the tube but once applied to my skin it blended in easily. Coverage was alot lighter than my usual foundation but it still covered the uneven skin tone & blemishes. Great to wear in the weekend if you dont want to do full on makeup but want to have great looking skin!

I'm not usually one for BB creme as I have tried some before and my skin reacted badly, but I tried this sensitive skin BB creme by Garnier and I was surprised! My skin didn't react at all and I found I got a really nice coverage from it. I used it instead of liquid foundation under powder and it felt really light, I felt like I was wearing a lot less makeup and it stayed shine free all day! It also improves your skin the more you wear it, it cleared up pimples and reduced a lot of redness over the 4 days I wore it.Definitely recommend, I will be using this instead of liquid foundation from now on.

I was fortunate enough to be selected to trial this product. I selected the "light" shade which was way too dark for my skin tone (I have porcelain skin colour). However by adding powder I was able to lighten it slightly so I could trial it properly.

This BB cream definitely goes a long way. It is extremely thick, and you only need a small amount (pea size) in order to cover your whole face. I applied it with my fingers as I would with any moisturiser and it left my skin feeling hydrated and dewey.

The BB cream itself is very sheer once applied and does even out skin tone however I found it didn't hide any imperfections. I added concealor on the top to hide a couple of blemishes.

By the end of each day I found it had mostly worn off. I tried adding some finishing powder which made it last a bit longer.

I think this product is best suited for weekend wear for a more relaxed look or those who have extremely clear skin to start with.

Unfortunately I would not purchase this product for myself simply because it was too dark for my skin tone. I needed to add a lot of product on top on order to leave the house.

I must say I was nicely surprised with this product. It promises so much and it delivered for me. Some of the promises are, that skin tone is more even for 90% of women in 4 weeks, well I'm already seeing the difference in mine every night when I clean my face, and the box says that immediately on application of the product you will notice skin is soothed, intensely hydrated and redness is reduced and it has done all this for me, when I put it on it makes my skin so smooth and even looking, it doesn't completely get rid of my freckles but it does blur them so that they don't stand out.

It is a lovely light consistency that glides on very easily! I just used my fingers to apply and you don't need much at all for it to cover your whole face.

This product is fragrance free, and I have had no reaction in the week I have been using it, so that gets a big tick from me as most things with strong fragrances give me eczema.

The packaging is just a picture of the product with a black background, so nothing special. The product itself comes in a handy 50ml size perfect for chucking in the handbag.

One gripe I do have is that I did have to apply it again halfway through the day, it had faded and rubbed off although my skin was still moisturised from it.

Altogether this is the perfect everyday product for me, Its made my morning routine a lot quickly, I don't have to use foundation and powder anymore (unless I'm going out to dinner or somewhere that requires fuller coverage) to get even skin tone. I put it on with some mascara and it is lovely and light and I feel like I'm wearing nothing but moisturiser.

I have even already started recommending it to my family as they have been telling me that my skin looks so lovely and healthy.

Such a good product dose what it says its ment to, not too greasy on my combination skin tone and is a nice colour and also helps remove redness and fells so nice on. I allways have stuck to the same old foundation due to alot of them irritate my sensitive skin, but useing this with a powder on top is so good and it last's and fells so much better on my skin ill definitely be buying this BB cream once my one from beauty review runs out and i recommend this product to everyone =)

This was my first ever time trying out a bb cream product, and i would rather use this product then any other one i have currently been using, it is way different to the normal powder foundation i normally buy through avon, this bb cream leaves my face feeling fresh, smooth an like im not even wearing any source of foundation as to the powder foundation leaves my skin feeling and looking like ive got a huge amount on when i haven't. The bb cream is easy to apply, don't have to use a brush just my fingers an doesn't leave no colour on my fingers like other foundations would. The bb cream feels like fresh water or nice smooth mousterizer it has no oily feel to it at all. I would rather this bb cream then any other foundation sort i have already tried an i have already started reckommending the usuage of it to others. My friends will love it just as much as i already do an il be buying this product from now on. However when recieving my item the box was damaged luckily the product was not, box clearly shows directions of usuage but the actually product does not. Very happy with this product an thankyou for letting me trail it.

I love the ease of use this BB cream offers. The cream is a medium consistency and comes out at a pace which gives you time to stop if you have enough. I trialled the Medium color and it was a perfect fit for my skin coloring. The coverage was one of the concerns I had as well as whether it would react to my sensitive skin. It covered extremely well and stayed on all day without caking or peeling off. It looked natural and gave my skin an even coloring. There was no reaction to my skin which was great. It didn't dry my skin out which other BB creams have. I will definitely buy it again and recommend it to anyone who wants a light coverage without drying your skin out. The Garnier BB Cream is well priced and fits into my budget. The packaging it arrives in is pleasing and informative,so if in the supermarket etc trying to make a decision you would find everything you need on the packet. I really like how the tube stands on the end that the cream comes out of which means the cream still inside has gravity working with it and you don't have to dig it out. I would use it as the first layer under foundation for night use.

I have been fortunate to have received the sensitive skin in a medium shade to trial from BR and have been using it for eight days now.

It comes in a 50gm size for $15-18 depending upon where you buy it. You only need a small amount so it will last quite a while therefore being great value for money.

The packaging was nice and I liked the fact that I could take the BB Cream to work with me to quickly and easily touch up any areas that may have needed it during the day. I didn't notice much of a smell to the cream either. My routine consisted of applying my daily moisuriser, waiting a couple of minutes and then applying a small amount of the Garnier BB Cream just like I would a moisturiser. I would start with a small amount of BB Cream and then applied more to the areas that I felt needed it.

It was easy to apply and gave a fairly good coverage. The medium shade suited my skin tone and blended in to give a matte finish which I liked.

I have some redness on my cheeks and nose so I applied more to those areas to cover that however I found that the BB Cream wouldn't "fully" cover all my red areas completely. It does state however that in four weeks "redness is reduced for 77% of women" so I am looking forward to seeing those changes and will update my review when and if that does happen.

Overall I am very happy with this cream and have already recommend it to my friends/family. It is super easy to use and doesn't look "caked" on which is fabulous! It evens out my skin tone and leaves my face looking quite natural.

I have never really been one for wearing foundations but I will be using BB Cream now :-)
