Great coverage, doesn't feel or look caky

I love this BB cream, it gives quite a good coverage without looking cakey like my usual foundation. I tried it in the shade medium and it's perfect. I have a few blemishes and do get quite a bit of redness sometimes and this covered it all up, it feels very light on and doesn't clog my pores.

Tips: Apply two layers if you have bad redness or blemishes.

Love this alternative

I have been using the 'original' BB cream for years but when I went to buy more, the store only had the sensitive option left. My skin can get really dry and is quite sensitive so thought I owuld give it a try.

The consistency is teh sam as teh original, the most noticeable difference (and best, in my opinion) is the fact this is fragrance free. It also seems to blend and smooth on a lot more easily, but I do have to reapply on my cheeks and forehead to get the coverage I want and need. It does make my skin look a lot more dewy and radiant and it's a great alternative in summer when you don't want to layer on the foundation!

I think I'll continue to buy the sensitive one in future as I prefer how it goes on and doesn't have the strong scent the original does.

Garnier BB Cream~miracle skin perfector ~sensitive

My skin is quite sensitive which is why i chose this particular type of bb cream from the garnier range. This product has good coverage over my blemishes and other red marks. This product is really light, doesnt irritate my skin and it lasts all day. Perfect when im in a rush to go somewhere.

Tips: You dont need to use heaps for this product to work :)

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Sensitive

My skin is sensitive, prone to redness and can be fairly ‘reactive’ to products when they’re first applied. It’s also combination, with dry patches sometimes in some areas but also occasionally gets oily. Very frustrating! I’m pretty fair skinned - my regular foundation is Nars Light 2/Mont Blanc.

Garnier BB Cream Sensitive is a fairly standard BB cream consistency - similar but a little thicker than the Garnier moisturisers I’ve tried. It’s thicker/more lotion-like than most liquid foundations and than other BB creams I’ve tried (Clinique and the Body Shop).

I find it easy to apply on moisturised skin. When applied without moisturiser underneath I find it a little trickier to blend in though.

The coverage is fairly sheer - I definitely still need concealer for any spots and under the eyes when I want to look more polished, though I often have just worn the BB cream alone - probably depends on your skin and how full you like your coverage to be. For everyday I really like this level of coverage - it looks natural and fresh, not like make up.

I have the Light shade and unfortunately it’s still a little too dark for me, and fairly orange toned (I really wish there was a lighter one!). But it’s sheer enough that it’s fine when it’s well blended and applied to moisturised skin.

I find it to last all day, though I’d generally reapply or switch to foundation if I was going out at the end of the day.

I think it’s really, really good value, provided the product suits you (e.g. it suits your skin type and you don’t want something heavier) - it’s one of the cheapest BB creams I’ve seen in NZ. It’s become my preferred everyday base make up and I’m happy to have found an option that works really well that happens to be so inexpensive and readily available. It’s cheap enough that I’ve got a few bottles on the go (home, boyfriend’s place, gym bag), which is a nice luxury for something I use so often.

The packaging is basic but does the job. Sometimes too much comes out and it dries out around the lid, which is a pain, but I really wouldn’t complain too much about it at this price level.

While I love the product as an alternative to foundation or tinted moisturiser I haven’t actually found it to reduce redness or sensitivity as it claims. But it doesn’t cause any skin problems for me either.

I’d pretty much recommend that anyone give this product a go given that it’s inexpensive and overall is pretty good. The only cases where it might not be worth trying are if you know you have no use for sheer bases or for pale people (where even the Light shade is likely to be too dark).

Tips: Though it’s moisturising itself I’ve found applying a separate moisturiser before the BB cream helps it to blend in better. While the BB Cream is SPF25 I also always wear a separate sunscreen underneath, since you don’t necessarily use enough of the BB Cream to get enough sun protection, and because it uses chemical sunscreens you’d need to reapply throughout the day for continued protection.

I Just Don't Love It

I dunno. I've been told that the one for oily skin is better? But this one just... it doesn't give very good coverage, it's quite patchy and it clings to my dry areas like nobody's business. I tried one in the past that I liked but I can't remember which one it is. It's not buildable at all and it's quite orangey. Just not the best one out of the range.

Great for my everyday

I loved this product especially when I was pregnant and working. It made my morning routine simple and quick. I just threw it on as I would a moisturiser. I did only use a small amount though. It was enough to give me a nice fresh look without being over oily or clogging my pores. I have sensitive skin and it was fine. I see others had issues with it oxidizing but I myself never had this problem. I would occasionally reapply during the day if I felt the glow was wearing off or I needed a bit of boost. Still great for me now when I don't feel like putting the effort into my normal routine and don't feel the need for meduim to full coverage. Basically a great booster for when your having a great skin day.

Dissapointing

I had previously tried the BB cream in the normal one and really liked it, so I figured I would give the sensitive one a go as I have sensitive skin, but boy, I was wrong. It looks good when I initially put it on, but after a few hours it oxidises into a orange cakey colour and it becomes very shiny, despite having set it with a powder. I would not use this again as it has no staying power and just ends up looking disgusting by the end of the day.

Tips: A little goes a long way, one squirt is more than enough for your entire face so use sparingly. Set it with a powder as this becomes sweaty and shiny after a couple of hours.

Awesome all-rounder

I really like this bb cream! At first I thought there was nothing special about it- the coverage is less than that of a foundation and it didn't really do anything special for my skin but I keep coming back to this one! I've found that the lid is very tight despite being jostled daily in my bag and it never dries or irritates my skin. And though it doesn't last forever on my face, it lasts long enough until lunch when I can reapply it again if I want to. The shade is near perfect match (I've got it in the medium shade) and I've read reviews about it rolling when you apply it but I find that this only occurs when I rub it in too much. It's also excellent when I don't have a mirror as it blends well with my olive skin so no patchy areas on my face :)

Tips: Just rub enough to blend it onto your face, don't rub too much as it can roll and form clumps.

Big Let Down

I was so excited to see an affordable BB cream, especially one for sensitive skin, however I was not impressed. First of all it made me break out in a disgusting rash (which I have never had before) which resulted in me having to pay hundreds of dollars to visit a skin specialist to fix :( secondly, although the colour looked okay when first applied, I found that it oxidised and turned rather orangey on my skin and also became very shiny! I'm glad it was cheap otherwise I would have been extremely frustrated.

wouldnt recommend

With all the hype around BB Cream when it first hit the shelves I thought id give it a go and hate to say I dont see what the hype was all about. For something that is supposed to be light wearing, I found it heavy with the same consistency of a liquid foundation, even after applying it per instructions I removed it and put normal foundation on and found it to be lighter and less cakey than the BB cream
