Garnier BB Cream - Sensitive Review - Medium

First time BB Cream user right here, and I liked it a lot. I have normal skin, but it is super sensitive. This BB cream didn't irritate my skin or break me out at all, and it felt lightweight and just great on my skin. I feel that it was a great consistency, not too thick but not super thin either. To me, it was quite a buildable consistency, I could've given myself more or less coverage depending on the look, which is super important to me. I never like the look of too heavy coverage, so this was fantastic. And the fact that it was a gorgeous matte finish made me super happy, as I love the matte look. I applied it with a damp beauty blender and was very happy with the results. Smooth and even application, and it looked and felt fantastic. To begin with, I wasn't a huge fan of the smell - I don't like the obvious Sunscreen smell at all - but once you apply it and it sinks in, you don't have that smell and you're just left with a great feeling product. I feel like the packaging was a little over crowded with information - it was just too busy and needed to be simplified, but the tube itself is easy to use and I love the look of this type of tube for a BB Cream. It didn't last a long time on my skin - four/five hours on average - however I only needed a powder touch up and I was good to go! Overall I was pretty happy with this product, it looked great, felt fantastic and lived up to the hype. And for $17.50, I am really happy.

I really liked this product when I first applied it. The consistency was creamy and light, ideal to wear under some powder for a more natural look that isn't too heavy. It had a pleasant smell and wasn't too over-powering that you'd constantly smell it throughout the day. The coverage was nice for a BB cream, it regulated skin tones, toning down redness and giving a nice tint to pale areas. It didn't do much to cover blemishes except from toning down the redness a little. The product lasted throughout the day, without making my skin shiny or oily. The price is good for the product you get as you don't need to use much at a time so your money will go further. The packaging is good for being able to retrieve the right amount of the product that you need; it won't squirt out too much and make a mess. I am prone to dermatitis break outs and although I was initially very pleased with this product, it did give me a rash by the end of the day. This is most likely a reflection of how my skin reacts very easily to certain products rather than of how good the product is. I would advise against using this product only if you have a history of getting dermatitis on your face. I would still recommend this product to people with normal skin or sensitive skin (that isn't prone to dermatitis).

I have been using this product for the past 8 days. I have a fair skin tone and very temperamental sensitive skin so only use sensitive products. When I first went to apply it I thought it was quite thick out of the tube but didn't have too much of a smell to it. Once I started applying it to my face I found it thinned out quite easily. It was a very easy cream to apply even using my finger tips. I found the feel and coverage once applied to be very pleasing. It left my skin feeling moisturised all day it looked very natural and covered most of my imperfections easily. I really like this product and will continue to use it and will even buy it once it runs out. I think it is good value for money and delivers on what it says. I also think the SPF 15 is great, even better in summer.

When I first tried this product out I applied it by itself with no other products under it or on top of it. Since I have acne prone skin as well as redness, I thought that this product would be okay without anything else as it states that it is supposed to cover all of that up. After I had applied it, I noticed that it made my skin look patchy and that there was no way I could go out with only that on!

I didn't want to give up on it that easily so I tried it with concealer over my blemishes/redness and then set it with a powder. THIS WAS AMAZING! It made my skin flawless and everything felt so light on my skin, it was so effortless to get good results and it was definitely worth trying.

I now use this on the daily and when I am wanting a more full coverage foundation look I apply this underneath to prime my skin and it ensures long wearing throughout the day.

My skin type is Normal to oily, I have acne prone skin. The consistancy of the product is very smooth and light weight. I applied the product with my fingers because it was easy to spread. It has a very nice smell to it not too strong. The smell lasts about half an hour after applying to face. It is definitly a medium coverage and could easily wear it on it's own without foundation if you like medium coverage. The product lasted about 8 hours before getting very oily and patchy on my skin. For the great price of $17.49 it is alot better then other products which do not last as long on the skin as this BB Cream.  Definitly worth the buy if you have sensitive skin/Dry skin. The packaging is very satisfactory and compact, Easy to just pop in your handbag and go. The squirt cap makes it easy to get the right amount out. It definitly does what it says it gave me a flawless finish up to a certain point then got very oily. I noticed it helps to keep my foundation in place though I also noticed I was breaking out because of the product. I would recommend this to a friend with normal to dry skin.

My skin type is a tricky one, it's quite dry in the morning then very oily at night time. I do have problematic skin at the moment and try my best to minimize blemishes.

I received the sensitive version of the Garnier BB Cream. Normally with BB creams I apply using my fingers because I feel it applies the best, this BB cream is relatively thick but when applied it blends out quite well! I found the coverage is quite light and dewy, I'd probably use this product if I'm having a good skin day along with some concealer and powder to finish. I definitely wouldn't say it gave 'instantly flawless skin' but it does help on those no-makeup makeup days to give a natural looking clear complexion.

Paired with primer and powder to set the face, I would say this product has a relatively strong staying power although at night I did notice it started to wear off around my nose and forehead. For me, retouching with powder half way through the day would be enough to last the whole day.

I didn't notice any strong scent which is nice, a lot of BB creams I've tried have an unpleasant fragrance but this BB cream has no noticeable scent.

The price is pretty reasonable especially in New Zealand where makeup is marked up so much, $17.49 is a good price. The packaging is easy to handle, the squeezy tube allows the product comes out easily. There's no need to shake the bottle to get the product out when it's almost empty like some foundations!

Bottom line: I would recommend this to anyone who likes to keep their daily makeup pretty bare but still isn't comfortable enough to go without foundation. It gives a great light coverage and looks quite natural. It can be a nice base before foundation so you don't use as much product, only focusing on areas that need more coverage. I will definitely be using this product in the future for those lazy days or days where I don't feel like wearing makeup.

Firstly the shade was perfect for me, I had light for sensitive skin, and I did love how weightless it felt. I am not a huge base layer wearer, only because of the sensitive skin issue, but I had issues with this product in the way it went on. I tried applying to skin with fingers, brush, before cleansing and toning, without cleansing and toning, but it just came up all patchy and almost a dry crumbly look? If I wanted to keep using it I would need to add a foundation on top or a bronzing powder etc to get rid of the flaky look on my skin. It did seem to even out the redness that I sometimes get, but I just don't think it would work for me

I recently tried another BB cream which was slightly more pricey so I was looking forward to receiving this one.

As soon as I put it on my face I knew it wasn't for me. It seemed to just rub off my face as I applied it and sadly I found that throughout the day it got even worse, I rubbed my chin at one point and noticed it rubbing off onto my hand (looked like dirt...which it wasn't!).

I also noticed that if I was flustered or got even a little warm, it pretty much just melted.

I need a BB cream which stays put, not necessarily high coverage, but just one I can rely on without having to worry about.

The words on the packaging really hyped up this product e.g. 'miracle skin perfector' so I was looking forward to the trial. I applied it with my fingers and it was a smooth moisturising consistency. It felt like putting moisturiser on which is great on my dry skin. I found it very sheer and definitely does not cover imperfections and blemishes, however it did even out my skin tone. I like a high coverage so I applied foundation over the top. I did find my skin glowed more and was illuminating. I felt like my skin stayed hydrated longer and foundation was less cakey. The UV protection will be good for summer. Also importantly I have dry sensitive skin and experienced zero irritation. It did not smell strong, just a little bit like sunblock which I love as it reminds me of Summer. It is a nice product and I will continue to use before my foundation.

As per title this was my first BB cream to try. I liked how it was yellow based not pink based like most BB creams are, although it was a tad too dark for my skintone. I have blemished skin so it didn't provide a lot of cover for me so I ended up using it underneath a medium coverage foundation. This BB cream would be good for unblemished skin to give a nice glow and natural coverage. Thumbs up to the fact it didn't irritate my lovely sensitive skin :)
