Garnier BB Cream - Sensitive Review - Medium

The only thing I used on my skin for this week long trial was Garnier BB cream for sensitive skin- light. It covered well and definitely reduced my redness. It was easy to put on which I just did with my finger tips. Because it's meant to be a 'one step' beauty cream and hydrate your skin for 24 hours I didn't use my regular moisturizer. However I found after several days that my skin had dry patches. As I continue to use it I'd use both my moisturizer and the BB cream together. I also had problems reading the very small writing on the box it came in. It seems a very good price at $18. The colour was very good for me, natural and not too heavy. I do have sensitive skin and it didn't irritate at all. It's great that it's fragrance free.

I frequently use a BB cream as light coverage for the gym and a primer/base for my foundation. However this BB cream fell slightly short. The consistency was mildly runny but looked nicely coloured when squeezed onto finger tips, it applies/blends easily onto skin, however the coverage fell short, i have combination skin with lots of freckles and rosacea of the checks. Other BB creams i have used can cover this nicely, but i felt the Garnier was too light. The fragrance was light as I did not detect a smell when applying cream. I mostly used this as a primer/base for foundation so i cannot judge the longevity, however the coverage felt quite sheer, so may rub off easily.It is a very affordable product, around half the price of other BB creams on the market, so good for a student budget. The packaging is nice and simple also very compact, with an appropriate squeeze bottle for the product. I would recommend it to a friend who is possibly new to using BB creams or prefers the sheer, light makeup look. I would possibly purchase again if i could not afford my normal Liole Triple the solution BB cream as the price is reasonable for someone on a student budget. Also the product is an affective base/primer.

Overall I found this product satisfactory. I didn't get any tingle of my skin when I put it on - which normally indicates if I will react to a product or not. Definitely suitable for sensitive skin. The cream was light, neutral smelling and easy to rub in, however the first time I used it, I squeezed out way too much and spent quite a while trying to rub in the productevenly. Quite sheer coverage (as to be expected) but I was able to increase the coverage a little by the amount I used. The coverage lasted about half the day, so you would need to apply it several times for a consistent look. It is fine for someone who wants quite sheer coverage, but it definitely does nto 'perfect' your skin. I would use it again during the day, especially when rushed in the morning, but not at night when I would prefer the better coverage and staying power of a foundation.

♥♡ LOVE!! wow what a great product! So I have used this just over a week now applying as part of my daily morning routine. The consistency is light and moussey which I found easy to apply and it gave great coverage while evening out the redness on my face. It didnt feel heavy or caked on or make me hot like foundation tends to. Theydthing that appealed to me most though was that I got a sweat up every morning in the gym while wearing it and it stayed on! I will be buying more when this runs out but becauseyou only use a small amount I wont need to for a whiler yet!

In the winter I tend to have a more sensitive skin with some redness. I got medium coverage, I would always use a mineral foundation over top. It is light weight, a natural look, easy to apply. My skin felt soft and hydrated, I would certainly use this again and recommend it to friends, its a great product at a great price

This product is perfect for a quick fix on days where you aren't wanting a full face of make up but want to cover your imperfections a little. It goes on smoothly leaving your skin feeling great, and provides a great base for putting thicker make up on top if you wish.

The tube is a convenient size, not too large but as you only need to use a very small amount will still last you a decent amount of time.

The one negative I had was that it smelt of sunscreen. The fact that it is SPF15 is obviously a positive but I was not a fan of the smell.

Love this product!! I wear make up everyday and found that this BB cream works like a Primer if applied under your Foundation.

Garnier BB cream has a nice thick consistency which spreads well and stays on all day.

Only grumble I have with this product which I used everyday was that every morning the product had become dried and crusty around the lid even though the lid was closed properly. nothing a quick clean can fix.

other than that i Would Highly recommend this product especially for those who do not wear a lot of make up as it has a good natural coverage.

I have enjoyed using this product. It feels very soft on your skin and comes out quite thick so when applying it, it feels almost like a heavy-duty moisturiser. It doesn't clump on dry patches like some other similar products, but I did find that I had to be careful applying it around the eye area because it did sting a little. I wanted to try this product because I have sensitive skin that can become quite dry and sore, especially in winter, and I did find that this product was mostly gentle enough for me to use.

I liked that It didn't wear off during the day. Normally, I would apply a foundation or a powder over BB Cream, but I really liked the way this looked on it's own. It gives quite summery, healthy glow and evens out any redness or pigmentation. It also works well with your other make-up, as I found that my eye make-up didn't smudge hardly at all over the course of the day.

I would really recommend this BB Cream to people who are prone to getting dry skin over winter. If you want to avoid using a heavy foundation during this time of year because it affects or irritates your skin, then this product could be a really good choice. It claims to hydrate your skin and I have found that to be very true. I think the quality of my skin actually improved over the course of this trial. It might not be suitable for everyone, possibly people with extremely sensitive skin, but in general it has worked very well for me.

Skin Type: My skin usually errs on dry so I definitely prefer products that don’t further dry it out and make it flaky, which thankfully was not an effect of the BB cream. It does claim on the packaging to hydrate your skin and my skin did feel softer afterwards. My skin is also sensitive to many products but this wasn’t an issue either. My main aim in using these types of products though is to cover up the redness that I regularly experience- my face naturally gets quite red throughout the day, more so than others, so this was my biggest concern. I found the product was a tad too light to fully counter the strength of my redness! Consistency & Application: It was creamy but less so on application when it became more watery and easy to apply. I just applied it using my fingers, which was a simple but effective method. Fragrance: There was no fragrance that I could notice. Coverage: It was a matte finish and sheer coverage. Very light. Longevity: I applied this product at the beginning of busy days to see how it would fare against lots of activity, weather, and just in general. As this is a lighter product, it did not withstand more than a few hours and certainly could not withstand wind or heat. Packaging: It is in a convenient tube that allows you to squeeze out small amounts which is all you need of this product. Results: The packaging claims to ‘soothe, hydrate, even, protect and illuminate’ the skin. The product is gentle, acts as a moisturizer, lightly evens the face and provides an attractive light glow for the skin which makes most of these claims accurate. The only claim I would dispute is the ‘protection’ one which I did not see evidence of personally. Whether this meant against the sun or activity or the weather in general, I did not find my face was especially protected. Recommendation: I can certainly see a niche in my skincare regime for this product. It is uniquely targeted at those lighter activities that don’t require a ‘full coverage’ look. I would certainly recommend it to some of my friends, not those who suffer from acne a lot, though.
