Garnier BB Cream - Sensitive Review - Medium

I have been trying a few varieties of BB creams recently to find my perfect one. I tried the Medium Garnier for Sensitive Skin. I found the colour very orange in shade did not match my skin at all . I also found from the first time I applied it, it would peel off in bits like my skin was peeling, I tried several times to put it on (fingers, foundation brush) and it had the same effect on my skin, I wore it for as long as I could but it doesn't last long as it would fail if I got hot and look uneven, it is really oil and I have had constant pimples on my face since I started using it (I hardly get pimples normally). I didn't mind the smell of it but I only used a very light layer otherwise it felt like I had a load of makeup caked on my face. I have sensitive skin and it didn't burn or sting which was good. The packaging is great I do appreciate the upside down bottle for creams/foundations etc as you can get almost all of it out when you get down to the last of it :) Even as a free product I will not be using it again and I definitely would not recommend it to a friend - Sorry Garnier, better luck next time :(

I found this product was pretty good. It met my expectations. Packaging is lovely. It is easy to use especially for busy mums who may not have the time for applying full foundations. It doesn't have an intrusive scent which is good. It's coverage is fairly good and for someone who already has pretty good clear skin it would be perfect! It stays on all day - excellent! Feels so lightweight.

My skin is freckly, dry and prone to the occasional breakout so when using BB creams or tinted foundations I am questing for excellent colour coverage, with a finish that makes my skin bright and fresh with an even tone. I was SO impressed with the finish that this product gave. It was a velvet light coverage that gave the most incredible brightening effect, as well and providing even skin tone coverage. The texture was smooth and light and set with a semi matt effect that was so flattering and needed no extra bronzer or setting powder all day! I loved that there was no fragrance and I had no issues with it upseting my sensitive skin as it is very gentle. The product claims to correct blemishes,and even and illuminate the skin. I can testify that after 7 days I had noticeable improvement in skin tone and skin illumination! The packaging suggests it can replace moisturizer, but I personally applied moisturizer prior to applying as my skin is super dry and it didn't feel moisturizing enough for me without it. The packaging of the box is pretty average, and not particularly amazing..the actual tube is much nicer and looks more special. I felt the box looked a little cheap. The tube is easy to use and enables easy control of how much product to apply. As a rule I usually tend to purchase more expensive brands for foundations and BB creams, ( Dior and MAC are my preferred brands) I was so impressed and shocked at how such an affordable " cheaper brand" had such a premium product that I will absolutely recommend and continue to use! It is such amazing value for money especially with the results it gave! Overall a winning product!

It's quite light which is great for everyday light makeup. I am normal someone that wears heavy makeup hence I did use a compact powder on top. It definetly helps skin maintain that "glow" throughout the day. I have very dry skin hence needed to moisturize before applying the cream. I don't have redness hence unable to comment on it. However I do use a concealer under my eyes for dark circles and did continue to do so with this. Having UV protection is an added bonus. Overall a good product for anyone who likes light cover for sensitive skin.

I found the BB cream a little to oily for my liking. It had a light to medium coverage which was good for during the weekends etc when I didn't want to wear a full face!

I also used it under a foundation during the week and found it to be good as a primer / moisturiser.

Would not use again due to the oiliness.

I enjoyed using this product and would definitely use it again. I liked that it is quite nice and creamy when you squeeze it on to your finger, as it makes it easy to control the amount you are using and doesn't make a mess by dripping everywhere. I also like the feel of it on my skin, although I find that I have to make sure my skin is completely dry, or the cream quickly picks up the moisture and becomes watery and hard to blend in. I think the coverage is good, although I don't find it lasts well on its own. It needs powder on top to get closer to a full day's wear. I tend to use two coats, and let the first coat sink in a bit before putting the second lot on. The packaging is really nice and appealing, and the tube sits nicely on the vanity. Also a great size to pop in your handbag in case you are heading out. Another good this about this is that it is the right size to travel with and you can take it on board a flight for moisturising during the journey. You do need to be careful to wash your hands well after using this as it rubs off onto clothes or any surface easily. I actually prefer the glow that the original Garnier BB cream gives, I also find that the original BB cream is fine on my sensitive skin. This cream has a very slight, but pleasant smell to it, not at all strong. It is supposed to be fragrance free, but you can definitely detect a slight smell when you apply it. I don't feel like this product does what it promises long term (4 weeks stated on the box), to have reduced redness or a more even skin tone, but I do feel like it lives long lasting nourishment and I find my skin is feeling more moisturised even after washing. I don't have that dry feeling quite so quickly as I used to. I think this is a great product (the whole range of Garnier BB Creams), and are well priced and very easily accessible from lots of stores. I would definitely purchase this product again and find it fits in well to our tight budget. Loved it!

This BB cream has a really good color coverage- its not terribly thick but has a lot of pigmentation to provide decent coverage. I also wore this under foundation as a sort of base and found that it didn't effect my foundation application or lasting power in a negative way. It actually made me enjoy a lot of foundations that i have that Ive never liked as it provided a fuller coverage. I have quite dry skin that gets upset from time to time and i found this cream to be quite hydrating but didn't leave my face feeling oily. If your looking for a lighter product than foundation but quite a decent coverage then give this a go. The only downside is i found the shade medium to be a very strong yellow tone so if you fake tan or have very olive skin this would suit.

When i received this product the first thing that I noticed was that the packaging clearly stated what the product was, what it does and the size of the packaging was not deceptive compared to the size of the product. I was impressed with the promised results on the front of the box and looking forward to seeing if I noticed improvements in these areas. One thing I did not like on the packaging was the before and after pic as I personally could see no difference. The packaging also stated that this product is fragrance free, however on opening the BB cream there was a definite fragrance. However this fragrance was light,pleasant and unnoticeable. The cream was thick, creamy and gave a good coverage which helped it last all day. I have tried a sensitive BB cream before, from another brand (Natio) with similar product promises and found that after a couple of hours, as my skin is very dry, my skin would get flaky around my nose and look quite patchy and dull. In complete contrast, however, this product is the miracle cream it states that it is. I found that my skin looked fresh, felt smooth, had no signs of visible dryness, was evenly toned and had a lovely glow to it. I have noticed a general improvement to my skin since using and feel like I have found my can't live without product. The only reason that I gave a 3/5 for the results was that the packaging states that after four weeks use there will be improvement in redness and skintone, but as I have not tried it for four weeks yet I feel that I cannot state that it does improve these things fairly. I am impressed with the improvements that I have noticed so far and would definitely recommend this BB cream (and have done) to anybody with dry and sensitive skin like my own. It is definitely more than worth the very reasonable price.

Newbie to BB cream. I feel like I haven't had enough time to fully try this product out but so far I have liked it. I put moisturiser on before it and then afterwards carry on with my normal make up routine (minus the foundation). This might not be what I am meant to do but it works!! I have had long lasting makeup consistently for the days I have used the BB cream. I like it - it's texture, consistency and the fact that you use it sparingly. Smells nice. and as a small bonus when I told my flatmate I was trying out BB cream she was surprised that I was wearing it currently as she felt like the coverage was as great as foundation. I believe she even said "wow". All round nice experience.
