Sally Hansen BIG Primer Base Coat Reviews

It definitely doesn't live up to "long lasting manicure" claim. In fact, the opposite is true: it ruins all my manicures everytime I tried using it as a base coat.

Firstly, everytime I used it under my usial nail polish, it would take forever for my nails to dry.

Secondly, it's pretty bad, as using it as the base coat is actually making my nail polish harder to apply. Base is supposed to make nail polish stick easier. Nope, this one ruins the pleasure of doing own manicure and pedicure.

As you can guess, into the bin it went. Such a waste of money.

I was hoping this base coat would come up for review at some stage as I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know.

At $15 it’s a great price and the product itself is fab, the brush makes it easy to apply and dries quite quickly. It leaves a nice smooth and even surface for the nail polish to adhere to and makes removal easy. I’m halfway through the bottle and there’s no sign of it thickening or going gluggy as most polishes start to do.

Definitely my fav base coat at the moment and is on my repeat-purchase list for sure.

This has to be the best nail primer I have used, and I use it every week. The bottle is easy to hold as it is rectangular, even though the brush is not as wide as the Sally Hansen nail colour, it still gets the job done, all nail ridges and imperfections are smoothed out, perfectly. Drying time is not long, when it dries and has a slight tackiness to it, but it does smell quite strongly, so I make sure I am quick to apply. This prevents nail staining when paired with dark polish, removal is easy. I really do think this cares for your nails, and once I started using it, there was no going back. This is affordably priced, you can pick up a bottle for less than $20
