Teddy Lane Nails Reviews

If you're a woman of age, I dare you to try and get through reading about these nails without humming Penny Lane.

If I'm going to an event, or a special occasion I always have my nails done at the salon. You know, gel nails, usually with a french tip, because I become overwhelmed choosing a design on the spot. I was really excited about this trial, but also a bit worried, mostly because, my nails are odd.

My drunk party trick is slamming my fingers in doors. Not on purpose you understand, but nonetheless its what I'm known for. Toilet doors, taxi doors, electronic gates. The result has been uneven nail beds - some are pretty much flat, with no natural curve. So I was a bit worried 'full' fake nails wouldn't fit properly (as opposed to just tips, and the bed being built up with gel like at the salon)

Anyhoo. The super fun part of this trial was selecting our design. I spent like an hour on the Teddy Lane website. Making a list. An actual handwritten list y'all, of my choices. I really like that it clearly shows the length and shape you're choosing. I choose a medium length, almond shape design called Catwalk.

Here lies the biggest negative of the trial.

Its actually difficult being sure of the design you're choosing. The live action photos compared to the 'stock' photos show very different shades and its hard to gauge the finish of the nails. Going by the photos I thought Catwalk was a pinky-gold glitter. Its actually a rose gold embossed foil. Nice, but not what I thought. And if I'm paying $29 on press ons, I want to know what I'm getting. So my feedback here is to add a text description of the designs too.

On to the actual nails - beautifully packaged, with very detailed instructions. I found matching sizes really easy, and actually had enough of a mix left over that my sister got a set out of it too!

I chose to go for the 10 day wear. Gluing them on is a bit of a 'leap' moment. You line it up, say a fleeting prayer to Manicurus, the God of Nails and go for it.

The length and shape I chose were perfect for me - a bit of a statement without erring into Ru Paul territory. My flat nails weren't an issue at all, the nails pressed on evenly and relatively straight, and really did look natural. Particularly around the cuticle area.

I work in admin and these held up remarkably well given the aggressive typing of my email replies and changing many a nappy at home. I wore gloves when washing up and I even did a bit of weeding (with gloves) too.

I was lucky enough to recieve these for a trial. They come with everything you need to apply them at home.

The application was very easy, although be warned that once you press down the glue sets almost instantly so make sure it's straight.

The day of application I left them the length they came as, this is way too long! I couldn't do anything with my fingers and within a few hours I had snapped 2 nails and bent a few others. I also lost a diamante. So once I returned home I trimmed them down and filed them smooth. This was very quick and much better.

Day 2 and they have held up well. I have had no more breakages and no sign of them falling off. I am very aware that they are there tho, they feel a little heavy on my nails.

Overall I would use them again. They are very quick to apply and I have had numerous comments on them and how good they look. In future I will cut them down in the beginning to avoid breakages.

The packet does mention you can reuse them, I will try and update this review in a few weeks and to if this is possible.

You will receive 24 nails in 12 different sizes to match your own and they matched mine nicely.

These come in a good range to suit everyone's taste and you will feel luxurious while wearing these.

The pack also contains glue, a file and instructions. You have two options for the amount of time to wear, 10 days being the maximum however I would apply glue to most of your nail so that none pop off with normal wear. I needed a pin to clear the nozzle every so often. You will know when the glue takes hold as you feel a sudden tightness. These are removed with an acetone nail remover and don't damage your own nails. I managed to chip one however I should have filed in a downward stroke.

I would definitely recommend these nails particularly for a night out or special occasion. As for extended wear I would tend to shorten them although I am not used to having long nails as I do some gardening etc.

Working in the cleaning supply industry I really can't have nice nails so when the opportunity for this trial came up I grabbed it!! The packaging is a lovely black and silver that has just a little bit more of a classy look than other sets on the market. Everything you need is included except for a cuticle stick which I would have found very useful given the state of my nails! I found the nails were easy to size and application was simple, even putting them on the opposite hand was relatively easy (bar one finger when my dog bumped me and it was a little crooked) The length was a little long and I'm not used to pointy nails (playing XBox was real hard! my Fortnite game was a little off) but I soon got used to them. They lasted a good six days of my rough handling, I wore them to work and the gym and only lost one at the gym which i just re-stuck back on and it was dandy. I would totally use them again - in fact I'll be getting some to look flash for the Pink concert this weekend!

I received the DAIQUIRI from the GLAMOUR COLLECTION. It comes in long length and is stiletto shaped. First impression, loved the color and shape of the nails, glamorous indeed. The pack comes with 24 reusable... yes REUSABLE nails, glue,file and easy to use instructions. I found it quite easy to match the nail sizes and the actual application was pretty straight forward. I applied a thin layer of glue in a line in the centre of the fake nails and pressed them onto my natural nails for a few seconds and boom... I had a set of glamorous looking nails for my night out. The glue didn’t have any unpleasant smell but I did find that I couldn’t put the cap on properly after using and it was lose, so I stored my nail glue in the fridge so that it doesn’t dry out. I did have to file them a little just to smooth the sharp tips and to make them look a little bit neater but was very easy to do. Once on they felt very light and I forgot that I had fake stick on nails. They did look pretty similar to acrylics from afar. They stayed on well all night and I didn’t have any nails flying off which is normally the case with stick on nails. However I lost a few the next day while getting dressed and putting on my shoes, but this could be due to me washing my hands a few times and the glue loosening up a bit. Plus I did put on a thin layer of glue as I just wanted to wear them for 2-3days.Removing all the nails was quite easy as well, I lifted them gently from the sides and they came of really easily without any pain or causing any damage to my normal nails. I only had to buff the top of my nails with the file/buffer provided to remove the light residue of the glue that was there. All the fake nails were in perfect condition ready to be reused again. Overall a good product if you want short term wear instant glam nails just for a special event or function without having to splurge at the nail salon. I have never used these type of nails before and would never use them again. It took me a fair amount of time to sort out which nails were the correct fit and despite scrupulously following the instructions I found it extremely difficult to put the nails on and in some cases I had to apply the glue three times.

I was disappointed with the quality of the nails as some had patches of missing nail polish.

The nails did not look too bad once I managed to get them to stick, but for me personally I found them a little long and could find no information on whether I could cut them, so just filed the ends.

Teddy Lane Salon Nails – I chose the LOVELACE Nails from the Naturals Collection as I loved not only the shape, but the colour and design as well! Upon receiving mine, I fell in love with the chic and classy packaging.

I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to use these because I do have slim nailbeds and previous experience has taught me that not all salon nails work for me. I was pleasantly surprised that there were sizes to cover every one of my nails! I was quite intimidated to start applying these but after doing the first two nails I realised it was easier than I thought.

I recommend using a clear work surface like a desk or table and sizing up each nail then lining them up and applying in sequence. Admittedly, I did find applying them a little tricky but I draw that down to lack of practice. The instructions that came with the nails were clear and easy to understand, although I recommend pressing down on each nail for at least 20 seconds and not wetting them for as long as possible as after an hour I had to wash my hands and one of them came off which was easy enough to reapply.

I have been wearing mine for 7 days now and they actually feel like they’re a part of my real nails – they don’t feel as if they’re a layer of plastic stuck on top of my own nails! I have only had to reapply 4; 2 of which came off due to my lack of care, and one I accidentally cut with a knife (don’t ask! -.-) I actually trimmed this one down at first because I couldn’t take it off and it was super easy to do and looked so cute!

I’ve gotten so many compliments about these nails and have already made a list of the other styles I want to purchase! I love that I can reuse them and mix styles (once I build up my collection).

I 100% recommend Teddy Lane Nails as a quick and relatively easy way to give your nails a glam make over.

I was thrilled to be chosen for the trial of the Teddy lane press on nails. I love doing my nails - and rarely have naked nails, but my nails are short! I chose from the Glamour collection - because I'm nail obsessed and it was an opportunity to have lloooonngggg glamourous nails. I chose the beautiful Daiquiri design - Pink, greys, glitter - basically lots of BLING!

I watched the video first & set out on my manicure mission. The best way to apply is to select each nail first, and line them up so you're simply gluing and applying simultaneously. I made sure each nail chosen was slightly smaller than my nail to avoid an mishaps with glue and skin!

I quickly buffed my nails, then cleaned with an alcohol wipe as a quick prep. I'm not used to long nails so I decided to apply the finger nails (Leave thumbs till the very end!) to my dominant hand first.

To apply I smeared a little glue on my nail, a quick dab/smear to the press-on nail, & then holding the tip I lined up over my nail and pressed down and held for about 5 seconds. You need to be precise and quick because the glue sets quick but it's a relatively easy process. I repeated on the other hand, and then finally pressed on my thumbs! The result was fantastic. They looked amazing (I've uploaded a photo on BR Photowall!) and they were solidly attached.

I left these on over a weekend and into the week. I didn't lose any in that time!

Removal is a little more involved. I wanted to reuse the nails if I could, so I did the hot water removal they suggest. You soften glue, and then I could gently coax them off with an orange stick. It worked, but it takes time and a lot of care as the nails are well attached. I imagine at the 10 day mark they'd be much easier to remove as the glue would be starting to break down. Once all off I soaked my nails briefly in acetone polish remover to wipe of remaining glue, and my nails were damage free. You can remove the nails by soaking fingers in acetone (similar to removing gels). I imagine that would be an incredibly quick removal as everything melts away - but you throw the nails away afterwards and it can be harsh on skin. Both methods work - just depends if you want to reuse the nail vs. quick removal.

I loved these nails. Mine lasted 6 days when I had to remove them but could see me getting a week or more from them in the future. I'll likely get some from the Every Day range which are shorter, with a variety of shapes and shades, more suitable for day to day life, but I totally enjoyed the 'wow' of my glamour nails too!

For someone who used to pay $60 to get a set of acrylics, I was very impressed with the Teddy Lane nails pricewise, at $28.99 a set, they're decent. The range of colours and patterns in all shapes and sizes is awesome and I love that they don't look cheap. I tried out the set called CATWALK which is from the 9-5 collection, this was a daring choice for me and I was so stoked with how they looked, I felt fierce with them on. When it came to applying them, it was a bit difficult for someone like me who is inexperienced as I wasn't quick enough to remove the glue from my finger and it ripped off some skin. For someone who is experienced, they will find them easy to apply. They are strong and great for all lines of work concerning durability. overall I would recommend them and I will buy them again.
