OPI Nail Lacquer Review
Reviews
I love OPI nail polish, it is one of the very few brands out there that actually dont chip after 5 minutes which is great for us busy mums and the colours are vibrant and beautiful.
I was first introduced to this product whilst studying beauty therapy as it was the nail lacquer of choice by our tutors. I love it, theres a wide aray of beautiful colors, its easy to apply and looks great and also lasts well
I love OPI nail polishes, there is so many different shades to choose from. They also have many different finishes availabile- matte, gloss, sand, cracked. It applies super easily, has great coverage and is nice and fast drying. Only issue I have with them is the price- about $20 depending on where you get them.
Tips: Look out for buy 1 get 1 free and other discounts from farmers on beauty days
Can not fault this product , goes on easily with great coverage, fast drying , last a long time on false nails (I take it off as it grows out rather than chips off) . Not as strong smelling as some polishes.
OPI nail polishes have the best application brushes. They are nice and wide and make it easy to cover your entire nail nice and evenly.
They have a MASSIVE colour range and have heaps of limited edition collections for movies etc. which is really cool.
I find I get at least 3 days wear from most OPI polishes, which for me is quite good.
There are a few different finishes available - matte, sand, normal. I have tried the matte and sand ones and I didn't like them, but the normal ones are super shiny and glossy looking.
Tips: Keep an eye out for cool LE collections!
These are great nail polishes. I got given one of mine as a gift and I love it! However I just don't like the price.
The bottles are big and the colour range is great however I just can't justify the price. Over $20 for a nail polish is quite ridiculous for me, especially if I won't wear it often or at all.
These have a nice brush and they apply opaque in two coats. Mine dried pretty fast too, which is always really useful to me. It lasted all week with a few small chips, which was impressive.
I got given a gold-bronze colour for my birthday and despite it being such a gorgeous colour and great formula I just can't bring myself to repurchase for the price.
Although OPI is one of the pricier polishes here in NZ, its worth spending that bit extra. They have a great range of colours, constantly being updated, and lots of fun textures like sand, glitter, etc. I find OPI seems to apply smoothly, and lasts longer than most other brands I use, and two coats will do the trick nicely.
Opi is one of my favourite nail brands, if not my favourite. I have at least 10-15 opi nail polishes in my collection and I've only had an issue with one. I really like the formula, which is a good consistency, not too thick so that its gloopy and tacky, and not too thin. The formula is really smooth and easy to apply. There is no streaking or bubbling.
The colours are opaque and vivid. I always apply two coats of colour with a base coat underneath and I find this is enough to get a solid colour on your nails. The polish has a glossy finish to it but I always like to put a top coat in top as well. I find that this polish, with top and base coat, will set at least a week before chipping.
The brush is a bit bigger than your standard nail polish brush. The brush has a flat shape which I like as it means you can paint you whole nail in three nice strokes. I hate the tiny nail polish brushes that you have to apply with a million strokes which causes the polish to become streaky.
Overall I really like these polishes as they are long lasting, there is a huge colour range, and they are really easy to apply. I definitely recommend these polishes and will purchase more colours.
the bottles are classic, and the brush is great - easy to hold, easy to use, nice & wide so you only 3-4 strokes & get even coverage. I've used 3 different colours & two of them required 3 coats to get a solid colour & one only needed 2. the odour is minial and the first to coats dry pretty quickly. The third takes a lot longer, but that is still fairly normal.
I find this polish wears off more than chips, which is great. Best results from preparing the nails first & always wearing a top coat.
