Very pretty, but doesn't look fuzzy

I purchased this in the shade Fuzz-Sea a neon blue and yellow fuzzy coat. The product comes in the classic Sally Hansen bottle, which looks elegant and doesn't feel cheap. When applied to my bare nail, the fuzzy coat required more than three coats to reach opacity, which was difficult as this has a long drying time. I found even the, the coat did not look fuzzy like the product promised, but it did still look quite good. I also tried to apply this over nail polish, where it gave the effect of looking like sprinkles which I got many compliments on. However, I still did not get the fuzzy effect. I got the product on sale so I cannot complain too much. I would repurchase this if it was on sale, as I did like the sprinkles effect the polish created, but I would not repurchase at full price as the product did not look fuzzy like it promised.

All Yarned Up

I picked this up on impulse recently, attracted by the pretty colours and unique selling point of the 'fuzziness'. It's very, very cute. I selected shade 200, 'All Yarned Up', which has pastel blue, lemon and pink shards of what look very like sugar sprinkles in a clear base polish.

I tried this alone and it worked, but I do feel like it would be better over a base colour. I used two quite thick coats, with extra dabbed in to make sure of good coverage.

The finish on this is textured and interesting, even with a top coat. It lasts around a week on me, which is more than is typical, and looks great. It doesn't feel as much fuzzy to me as rough, but it looks effective and I'm definitely a fan.

Tips: play with this - over other colours, thin layers, feature nails.... have fun!

Textured and i Love it

This nail polish is not something i would normally use, let alone buy. I'm not sure why, but nail polishes like this have never appealed to me, that was until i saw my friend wearing it and her nails looks awesome! So i knew i had to give it a try.

The colour i use is white, grey and black, and although its called fuzzy nails, it really doesn't give your nail a fuzzy look. In fact the texture of this nailpolish is quite hard to describe. Its almost like tiny shredded bits of confetti, or something. I know that sounds weird, but that's they only way i know how to describe it.

Anyway, you can clearly see the textured nail polish through the clear bottle, so at least you'll get no surprises there. As for the rest of the packaging. Its pretty standard with a simple metallic lid.

Application, well i guess you could say its time consuming. The way i use this nail polish is i put a base colour coat on first, and then put two to three layers of this nail polish on until i get good coverage. The reason i put a base layer down is because i normally only use this as a feature nail versus using it on all 10 nails.

The results. Well i think this gives nails a really cool effect. As well as that, its lasts a good 3 days before chipping, and i found that it dried pretty quickly (especially since i used three coats).

Overall a pretty decent nail polish, with a unique look.

Cute colours.

I loved the colour selection as they are fun and cute. However, this polish took three hours to dry completely, which I think is absolutely ridiculous. The confetti inside the bottle is also very long and doesn't sit well on the nail. The confetti goes over the nail bed and onto your skin and clean up is a chore. I really liked the colour selection but pass on everything else. Looks prettier in the bottle than on the nails.

Peach Fuzz

I first saw this on beauty review and thought I would love to try it! Then I saw it at the cs sale and grabbed the 'Peach fuzz' shade. I tried it on as soon as I got home ...then jumped on here and read the reviews for it (a lil backwards way to do things I know). I read that it was pretty much unliked and hard to remove, but I fell the complete opposite!

The first thing I noticed when I applied it was yes, its rather runny and I knew straight away that it was going to take a few coats to get a good result..well it took me about 4-5 but it was easy to apply and dried quickly so that didnt really bother me.

The end result was pretty cute. 'Peach Fuzz' is the perfect way to describe it. The teaxture is hard to explain, kind of like tiny bits of shredded rubber. Looks really nice though. For extra shine I added a layer of top coat, which helped it stay longer too.

I found it pretty easy to remove, just used a sponge and nail polish remover and it came off easily.

I want to get the blue one too now, I really like them.

Not for Me !

I adore Sally Hansens nail polishes they really seem to work for me so when I saw this in sale bin at Farmers I snapped a couple of colours up alongside side one of Sally Hansens Sugar Coat so price wise this was a real bargain!

Unfortunately I was really dissapointed with this nail polish.

I love Sally Hansens nail polish bottles designs and handles/brushes they are perfect for applying in one or two strokes. That’s about where my joy for this one finished.

I got my nails ready, filed/trimmed (I didn’t used a base colour I awanted to get this opaque on its own). That was probably a mistake.

It came out a lot thinner and more watery than I had expected, I had to do about 4 coats and some nails had to have an extra coat to get this opaque on my nails and that made it feel really thick.

The drying time between each coat felt like forever (I think im too used to quick drying nail polishes) you really had to make sure each coat was dry well before applying the next the brush just didn’t seem to pick up that much of the glitter/fuzzy bits at a time I really think you would be far better off using a base colour under this and using this as a top coat for a bit of added sparkle or maybe a feature nail !. I also think it is a bit more a glitter polish then it is a fuzzy polish.

I chipped this about an hour after putting it on. I fixed that up and gave it a day or two but it really didn’t wear well on me, I work in an office so im continually using my hands to type and shuffle things around and I also spend a bit of time at the gym with weights so they knocked around a bit and after those two days most nails had chipped.

Taking this off was a whole different story ! This is about 1000 times worse than trying to take off a dark nail polish or even the sugar coat !. This took a fair bit of manpower to get off and I managed to get fuzz/glitter everywhere yet with a lot still remaining on my nails. I wonder if a nail remover pot or something wouldn’t be better that you dip your nails into it - I can safely vouch that neither cotton balls or buds were ideal for the job.

Overall I wouldn’t recommend this to a friend or buy this again unless you were after a detail nail or just some added glitter to your base coat.

All sorts of wrong!

I am a huge fan of Sallys and they never disappoint but this one is just icky!

First of all it's meant to be fuzzy. It looks it, it feels it - yuck! But it's not worth it. The bottle on the outside promises you a lot- but ladies be warned and save your money.

It does look nice if you are able to apply it appropriately where it will dry in time, not so thick to peel off etc. It looks both nice on its own, or paired with a matching base colour. But that wasn't enough to win me over.

It's really thin and watery and doesn't spread well on the nail as it doesn't pick up much "fuzz" from the bottle. I find that to get the fuzzy look I need to do about 3-4 coats of this - if not more.

Drying time is extremely long. Because it is a thin consistency and you have to apply so many coats, it takes forever to dry between coats, and I find - literally - if I don't sit there for 2 hours letting it dry completely it will wipe off very easily.

Once it is dried, I find that it comes off so easy with just picking it. I hardly get my nail under the polish and it flies off and lands on the ground - so not long-lasting either.

It is also incredibly hard to take off. If you think glitter polish is a hassle, you got another thing coming! I found that trying to remove it off like a normal polish with a cotton pad doesn't budge. You have to really really scrub the surface of your nail. This only transports the fuzz from your nail to your skin, where it sticks like super glue. I found that even after washing my hands 10 times, I was still finding a fuzz here and there. The best method to remove the polish is as you would with a glitter polish - wrap your nail in foil. It works better, but you still get the annoying fuzz on your skin.

Fuzzy nails? They really didn't seem fuzzy to me, but hey they still looked cute! I wore it under a nail polish of a similar colour and it looked pretty good. I have only wore them once or twice because i seem to get more nailpolish then 'fuzz' and its a pain. For such a low price its what you pay for.

Not At All Impressed

Why doesn't this dry on my nails?

I bought this in the shade Fuzz-Sea, a beautiful blue and lime green/yellowy fuzzy polish and I was really excited to try it as it's so unique, but alas, I am so sorry I did. And I almost bought more! Thank heavens I didn't!

First of all, they say it takes three coats to cover your nails. I say no. You can't just swipe it onto your nails, you have to do what I like to call a "dab and drag", don't wipe the brush and blot it onto your nail.

And then you wait and it takes forever to dry! And when it's dry after a couple of hours, it smudges and comes off like nothing.

I definitely do NOT recommend this at all, and I will never repurchase.
