I have never really tried gel nail polish before, but I couldn't resist when I saw this brand which offered a gel nail polish at such a great price.
The bottle itself is one tone with writing on it. I found some of the writing came off when I held the polish in my hand for too long.
The polish inside didn't look or feel that different to normal nail polish in my opinion, maybe just a bit thicker.
The brush is the same as what you'd get with normal nail polish and I apply two coats. Which I find dry well.
With a top and base coat this nail polish will last without chipping much better than my normal nail polish, so I am sold.
The bottle is a little smaller, but that is probably a good thing because it means I won't still have polish left in 5 years times.
In terms of removing it, I found wrapping a nail polisher remover pad around the nail and gently rubbing all the polish away was the most effective approch.
These are fast becoming my go-to polishes. There are a good range of colours, the quality is pretty good, and they are *dirt* cheap.
I currently have two of these polishes, but bought my bestie a few as well and have been through a couple of bottles already. The current shades in my collection are 01 true love - a gorgeous berry red, and 55 be awesome tonight, a bright pastel pink.
essence the gel polishes come in short, squat, rounded bottles, which are clear with the polish colour on the lid. The lids are the exact polish shade, which is great because you know what they'll look like on. The opacity is brilliant, and two coats tends to be perfect. The brushes are some of the best out - short, wide and easy to use. I get very little mess with these. The 8 ml bottle size is more than adequate, especially given the tiny price.
I find these wear well, but obviously a good base/top coat helps. I don't rate the essence clear top coat from the gel range, unfortunately. I'm currently using Nicole for OPI as a base and Maybelline All in one on top of the pink essence polish, and am on day 4 with one tiny chip even though i spent half of Saturday toddler-wrangling. Amazing!
These are going to feature heavily in my xmas gifts, i think!
Tips: Seriously, just buy them. Buy them all. You can't go wrong.
