perfect canvas

This stuff is soo good! When I was living with my friend in the university accomodation, I borrowed her FitMe foundation and it literally blew my mind! and because I'm not much of a foundation wearer it showed as much of a shock to actually be really enjoying this foundation, you better believe I then claimed her FitMe foundation for keeps. It slides on your face so smoothly, and gives such a clear, perfect canvas to begin your artwork as per say ;) It doesnt look too cakey and its so weightless you cant even feel it. Such a good product, definitely recommend to all foundation advocates.

Tips: I found it works best with a beauty sponge.

Fit me it did

The only thing for me is that it seemed a bit patch not so even when spreaded on, not very consistent with finishing look so had to apply more to certain areas however that was before but now I've been getting use to applying it properly so now it makes my face look very flawless and camera ready

Tips: Maybe spice the bottles up a bit give it a funky look

DONT like original fit me, DO like matte&poreless;

Original fit me foundation is definitely a NO GO for oily skin. within just a couple of hours even after setting with a powder this foundation has me looking like a oil slick. did not like it at all. However matte and poreless i do like. provides pretty good coverage, evens out my skin tone, can still see freckles and my veins on my checks though so not full coverage at all. Doesn't cover redness on my checks to well still need to conceal that. Is matte right from application so i find you need to blend out quickly, love doing this with sigma F80 flat top kabuki. good for every day wear as it looks natural and efortless but tends to still become quite oily on me after around 5-6 hours of wear would need to blot oil and re powder.

Tips: If your oily like me, still set with a powder, as it does not stay matte on oily skin types.

Matte & Poreless = good, Dewy & Smooth = no good

So being that the colour range that is available in NZ is a little too light for me (by one or two shades), I had to get my colours from Amazon.com, which is unfortunate but what I have to do to get colours in this range that match me.

I found the Matte and Poreless gave me great coverage and a little bit of product went a long way. It was also pretty long lasting which is something I am constantly looking for when trying new foundations. I found the best application method for me was a flat top brush. Application was effortless and was super quick which is also important to me.

Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the Dewy and Smooth formula. It was a streaky mess when applying and looked patchy and, well, pretty bad. Not sure if it was my moisturiser that it wasn't agreeing with or just my face in general, however after the one or two tries that I gave it, it is now sitting in my make up drawer... I may give it a go another time, but for right now, I would not repurchase it!

Gives light, dewy coverage

I bought this foundation in the dewy+smooth version from an online discount store. I don't think I've ever tried the original fit me before but I was definitely keen to give this a go when I saw they had a specific dry skin formula.

Packaging wise, I think this looks nice with it's glass bottle and black cap. You can easily see how much foundation is left and which colour it is. I hate, hate the open top though. I really wish this had a pump. When it's new, you usually end up pouring way too much out. I only have about 1/4 left so it's not such a big deal now but mine is all messy at the opening which I dislike.

I have this in the shade 130 buff beige. It's a little orange and maybe a touch too dark but it's workable. I think the next colour down from this would actually be too light for me. I wish there was a bit more of a shade range, although this does say it has 18 shades in the range so I'm probably just being too fussy. I don't think this looks too odd on my skin anyway. This also has a spf 18 which I like. It says octinoxate sunscreen, I actually have no idea what that means at all but I am happy to have sunscreen included.

For me, this gives a light coverage. I do use a sponge as for my dry skin, I feel it applies foundation best. I haven't tried it out with a brush yet but you could possibly get a medium coverage with one. I do think this could be layered though to get more coverage as well. This really does give a dewy finish. And that dewy look lasts all day. I feel like if you had oily skin, you would hate this so much but as I have dry skin, it really gives me the look that I want. It doesn't cling to my dry patches either!

Wear time is good, I don't powder either which would probably make it last longer. I still get a good 8 hours of wear before it comes off. It can wear off quite unevenly if I get sweaty or touch my face though but I think that happens with most foundations.

I think I would pick this up again. The open bottle puts me off a lot but the actual foundation is nice. I do have seriously dry skin and generally have trouble finding a foundation that doesn't accentuate that dryness for me. If you have trouble too, I'd really recommend giving this one a go.

Good for the price!

This is my go to foundation when my bank says no make up! It's cheap and affordable! While also providing good coverage at the beginning. However by the middle of the day I do find my make ups gone very patchy.

Tips: Use with fit me powder to stop patchiness

Perfect shade but not long lasting

When I first tried the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (Dewy and Smooth) in 310 Sun Beige, I was amazed at how well the shade fit my skin. I often find foundation shades to be either too light or too dark for my skin tone, so it was a joy to have discovered this foundation. It was easy to apply, either with a brush, blender sponge or with my fingers. It has a pleasant scent, and it was nice to have the SPF protection. Initially, I absolutely loved this foundation. The medium coverage evened out my skin tone without making me looked like I had heavy makeup on as the shade I had completely blends in with my skin tone. True to its name, it gave my skin a dewy finish without appearing shiny.

However, I soon noticed that the foundation does not last for long (probably 3-4 hours), and does not seem to settle onto my face. I found out about this when I hugged a friend who had a white top on, and she ended with patches of my foundation on her top! I also noticed my foundation sliding off when I blow my nose. I tried setting my foundation with translucent powder, but it ended up showing my wrinkles and made my face appeared cakey. It was not a look I favour!

I still use this foundation from time to time, as the shade is an absolute dream, but am very conscious about hugging people if I have this foundation on!

Tips: Great for beginners to makeup. Beware of the foundation sliding off onto clothing (yourself and others!).
