Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer

Does what it says it does, but in all fairness it is Rimmel, it's compatible to the Too Faced liquid melted lipsticks. Stay on/ stains lips but downfall is that 1) it stinks 2) it flakes and 3) when you try to get it off you shouldn't be in public otherwise you'll make a mess and have a funny looking mouth.

I bought "Orange-ology" on a whim and totally regretted it, due to the garish colour and streaky application.

There are many shades and the smell is quite pleasant. I love that there are so many varieties and it leaves such a highly pigmented glossy shine! It stays put for quite a while but when the gloss dries, it can leave the lips feeling a bit dry. I would recommend using a lip balm underneath. Overall though, it gives such a beautiful effect that I would repurchase!

The colour in these is awesome! I did find that (as per usual for a gloss type thing) that the colour was a lot less vibrant than in the tube, however when applied it kept its shine! Which I feel made it even better because I'm usually leaning towards the more natural look, so a pink tint was great for me. Also, no extra dry lips because of it! Always a plus.

I have this in the shade Nova, a pink that's bright and dark at the same time? It's like a dark pink that still really stands out. I love the texture and how smooth it applies, feeling like a liquid lipstick rather than a gloss. The color payoff is amazing and looks so smooth and bold, and I only need a thin layer for it to look very even. The applicator has a little well inside which is perfect for holding a reservoir of lipgloss. The lasting power is alright as long as I don't eat or drink, because this does tend to transfer. I prefer scented glosses so I don't really like the smell of this. The tube is also really cute with a little faceted top and the color of the gloss showing on the bottom third of the tube. Overall a really nice liquid lipstick/gloss hybrid and I highly recommend it!

This lip glass/stick comes in different shape compared to other ones. The wand inside is also abit different, i think they couldve improved it. It makes the application abit harder because i feel that i can't put this with the applicator without looking in the mirror or i have to use my fingers if i need to use it somewhere without a mirror.

The price is quite reasonable, it gives a matte look but it doesnt dry your lips, still keeps it reasonably moisturised. Although it doesnt last very look. Sometimes i put two coats just to be safe. But hey most dont last long because we are always eating or drinking. It does the job :)

I also feel like with this one its better to use a lip liner so it gives the lips abit more effect and gives it a better shape otherwise looks slightly incomplete i guess.

I would recommend this to people to try, they come in really nice pigmented colours !

As they state these Lip Lacquer's are truly rich in colour! I was given a bright red colour ''Big Bang'' and to me it certainly isn't a colour you'd wear to the supermarket! It is for a more dressy occasion in my opinion. The packaging is gorgeous and nice to hold.It applies smoothly and can easily be built up.I did find that it leaves a very red colour to your lips but it doesn't stop me from using it again and buying more!

On my mission to find the perfect nudes for my chocolate skintone I decided to give Nude Eclipse amongst other shades a go. I wanted to love these, the packaging is stellar in my opinion but the product? Not so much.

I think Rimmel outdid themselves with the packaging - a glossy black plastic tube with a galactic looking lid? 10/10. The product is amazingly creamy and opaque but if you're not careful with application it can have too much slip, very similar to Chi Chi's Lip Lacquers except Rimmel has a thicker consistency.

It has a thin doe-foot applicator which does the job well in terms of precision. What I like about this product is you can tell if it has been tampered with. If you unscrew the lid slowly, it'll reveal a clear plastic; if it's covered in colour then you know that your product has been opened before. Obviously they come sealed but incase you find one that is unsealed and thinking of buying this maybe something you may want to check. I bought mine from Kmart for $16.00.

This is not a product you can mattify which didn't stop me from trying! Unfortunately you either go hard or go home with this product. I feel the nudes would look gorgeous on those with a lighter complexion to mine; this is not to say it would't suit those of a darker complexion but I found Nude Eclipse to be too white based to look natural on me. For such a creamy product it leaves my lips dry! I'm not surprised that it's not long lasting but to leave my lips dry is not the business especially after only 4 hours of wear.

Another thing I detest is the smell! How can a product look so good but smell so awful? It's as if it's fresh off of the manufacturing line, it smells quite vulgar however once dried you don't really smell it. I thought it was just one but nope the rest of mine smelled that way. Needless to say after a year of trying to like these I threw them out.

I was lucky to win this as part of a prize on facebook. I hadn't tried many Rimmel products before so was excited, the prize arrived the day after bubs was born too so that was lovely :) The shade I received is 100 Phenomenon.

I think the packaging on this lacquer is gorgeous!!! The top of the lid is like a diamond shape, it's black and the bottom is the shade of the lacquer. It has a doe foot applicator and the lid clips closed tightly which is great.

It is easy to apply and to build up. The shade I have is a beautiful nude. It's like a gloss but also like a lipstick. It's not sticky at all and the consistency is semi thin. The scent is strange but for me I don't mind it, I don't find it yuck.

My only downer is that I find the lasting power to be very low sadly. For me it only lasts around one hour which is frustrating and is the only thing putting me off trying more shades (even though I really want too!)

Would I recommend these lacquers??? Yes and no, if you don't mind reapplying it neumerous times throughout the day then yes as it has a smooth formula, applies evenly, the shades are beautiful and they are a good price.
