Living Nature Lip Hydrator in Bliss Review

This product is a little misleading. When you open the pretty box and take the lid off the beautiful matte black tube, you are met with a bright pink shimmery lip colour. Frankly, it looks a little alarming!

Then I read the packet. And learnt it was, essentially, a tinted lip balm. Well that didn't sound so scary!

So recently I decided to crack it out and I love it. I have a private golden rule about never wearing lippy when I haven't got any BB cream or foundation on, but this is subtle enough that I feel I can wear it on those days when I've rushed out the door. It feels like a little 'treat to self' on those days I don't have time to look after myself properly!

I only gave it four stars for 'doing what it said it would' because I don't find it quite moisturising enough, but I think that's just a personal thing because I get very dry lips.

The takeaway message from this review should be that Living Nature do beautiful packaging and this product feels a bit special to use.

I was lucky to score this in the vault. I have really liked Living Nature but previously hadn't owned a lipstick from them at the time. This one comes in a pretty pink box and like the regular hydrator it comes in the same rubberized tube with the logo like all the lipsticks. I definitely has a bit more of an expensive feel to it. This has the same conditioning moisturizing texture as the regular lip hydrator, not sticky or oily or mainly waxy. It has a very light, pinky sheen. It probably would stand out more on lighter skintones but on me the color is barely noticeable except for the sheen. The main cons for me is the price and that the color doesn't really show up on my lips. Was kind of hoping for more color payoff for the price. Which when I reach for a colored lip product I want the color to show up not just a faint sheen. It does make a nice gift for someone who doesn't like wearing lipstick or much color on their lips or perhaps a really fair skinned friend that's a lip balm junkie.

I received this is a Christmas box, I have never tried any living nature lip products before so I was excited to open this one, especially when I saw the word 'hydrator' written on the box.

The box that it came in was huge, it would have almost fit 3 lipsticks in it, I pulled out the lipstick and was slightly wowed by the casing, it's a rubberised black tube with the living nature logo stamped on the top of the lid. This hydrator is rather heavy too which I love, less chance of losing it!

The colour of this in the tube looks a gorgeous shimmery light pink. 2 sides of the lip hydrator are flattened.

I twist it up and apply several layers to my lips, it's smooth and creamy to apply and only adds a very very slight pink tint on your lips. I can slightly feel the shimmer but it's not too annoying.

As for being a 'hydrator' I think good Ol trusty Chapstick and lip balms do a better job at keeping my lips hydrated. While it's nice its not something I would repurchase again.

I was surprised that this lip tint comes in a relatively big box when it only takes up the corner of it, limited edition or not, I didn’t think it required all that extra packaging. I love the actual packaging of the product, it comes in a small rubberised tube with Living Nature’s logo on top of the cap. At the bottom is the name Bliss and the supposed “shade” of baby pink.

When I saw the lip tint I made a face because the colour didn’t look appealing to me, a shiny opalescent pink mauve with fine shimmers. My lips aren’t too pigmented but I found that I didn’t get much of a tint from this product which didn’t bother me at all. After several swipes I can get a bit of shimmer here and there but ultimately this is just a hydrating balm for me.

I love that this lip tint/balm is in lipstick form because not only is it functional but also hygienic. Personally it doesn’t keep my lips hydrated or soft for as long as my Blistex lip conditioner, maybe an hour or 2 before I need to reapply. I was fortunate to have received this in the Beautiful Christmas NZ Advent Calendar because I can’t justify $30 for a lip balm when I already have one that doesn’t add colour for a fraction of the cost. I don’t think you’re missing out if you don’t have this.

I gave 5 to would I use again 4 to did it do as it said and also would I recommend to a friend.

I have had this in its packet, in my gift drawer. I was cleaning it out and rediscovered this in there. It's like a lipstick in look and bullet.

The actual product makes it look as if you will get a beautiful shimmer on your lips. I find you need 4 or 5 swipes to get enough on them to show the colour and shimmer. So for me I only use this as a lip hydration product. For this it works extremely well. It is silky smooth on your lips and not at all grainy like cheap ones can be.

I like to use it after a shower, before I put my makeup on. It gives that hydration to my lips before I place lipstick on, so you get a lovely lipstick application.

I don't think I will repurchase as I have other ones that are cheaper and work well. As for a gift I think it would be very well accepted.

I received this as part of my Christmas Advent 2015, putting it aside to when my lips were in need and that time has come!

In a lipstick bullet container this lipstick shaped hydrator acts like a sheer lip colour and balm rolled up into one. It has a soft touch coating over the body of the case with the Living Nature logo in white on the top of the lid. Inside the lip hydrator has a soft pink with a slight shimmer to it.

I have recently been using this at the end of the day after I remove my liquid lipstick and give my lips a scrub, it is usually a few hours after that I go to bed, so in the meantime I pop on this hydrator to get to work whilst adding a sheer pink tone to the lips that keeps them looking plump and healthy.

In the mornings I have been popping this on before I go on with my normal lipstick as it adds so much moisture, after apply I blot then reapply before blotting again to allow my normal coloured lipstick to go over top, what this does is it adds a layer of moisture that lasts allday and it gives a slight puff to the thickness of my lips to make them look enhanced.

Would be looking into getting a replacement once I run out of this for sure, I can see this being my buddy through autumn and winter.

I was a bit surprised that there was only one in such a big box, I do try to buy as little packaging as possible. The hydrator came in a tube just like a lipstick. The actual product is a cute pink in colour and smells pleasent. It glides on really smoothly and feels beautiful on my lips. I did put a lipstick on over the top and it worked nicely for me.

It is a lovely natural product which considering that it is going on your lips is great.

I do think it is quite costly so I would definitely look at it as a gift with purchase or hopefully it will appear again in our vault.

This lip tint was a goodie I picked up in the beauty vault and I was so excited to get my hands on it because it looked amazing, plus it was limited edition and anything that is limited edition gets my eyes wide. What can I say? It’s like those marketing techniques are aimed right at me.

This lip tint comes in a rubberised cylinder tube which actually reminds me of Nars packaging because they use a similar rubber coating on their lipsticks. Immediately this makes this product stand out for me because it feels different from the norm and it reminds me of Nars. However, the packaging isn’t as sleek as it could be (nit picking here), and because it is rubberised it can get dirty really easily too.

The lipstick is a beautiful mauve-y pink and has a pearlescent look to it. The lipstick itself is very elegant and slender, as well as being easy to apply. On your lips this product adds a hint of colour, sheen and a slight shimmer but nothing too intense

I really like this product. It adds a touch of hydration to my lips as well as a touch of colour. It’s not long wearing, but since I use it as a balm I don’t mind touching it up whenever it is needed. So glad I picked this product up in the vault!

One of my very first trials from BR was for a Living Nature Lip Hydrator which I ended up really loving. So when I received this lip hydrator that was tinted in the colour Bliss I knew I would most likely love it too.

I am a sucker for packaging and I think Living Nature have really nailed it with their lip products packaging. I find it quite comparable to a NARS packaging with the rubbery material on the outside. Makes it fantastic to grab hold of although it can be prone to being messy. The bullet of this lippy is sort of in a rounded point (like a roof). This is perfect for just smudging onto your lips on the go.

The shade Bliss is lovely. It looks like a dark sparkly pink in the tube but on the lips you just get a slight pink sheen with a bit of sparkle. Just enough to make you lips look a wee bit glossy. It feels great on the lips and really moisturising. I find that I can feel this on my lips for quite some time and my lips continue to feel nice long after it is gone.

I think this is a fantastic alternative to a clear lip hydrator or gloss as it gives you the lovely hydration as well as a bit of a tint to perk up the face. A great two in one product for those on the go.
