Long lasting colour

These lip liners are great. They are long lasting and definitely prevent your lipstick from fading and bleeding. I have this in two colours, one is a clear/invisible colour and the other is a dark red.

The texture of these lip liners is quite waxy which means it can be a tad hard to apply, especially the clear colour. It therefore helps to have well primed lips that are free of any dry skin before apply the lip liner, otherwise it drags across your lips.

These lip liners come in a twist up pencil tube, which is great as it means you don't have to keep sharpening them. They are also quite thin which makes to easy to draw a clean line to outline your lips.

Overall these lip liners are great and are ling lasting. However I do find them a tad hard to apply to your lips and therefore I don't think I would purchase one again.

I love it!

I have 701 Stay Ultraviolet which is a dark pinky colour that has a frosty shine. The liner itself is dense and you don't need much to apply, it goes on smoothly and depending on how much you use changes the level of frost. Which means I can mix and match it with several of my lipsticks. The pen itself is sleek and thin, with a twistable segment to make the liner rise. It has become a product I always have in my bag.

Golden Taffeta

I can't really commit to frosty lipsticks but I thought that I could atleast give a frosty lip liner a go. I picked up Golden Tafetta which is a golden toned pink with a frost finish. It's a retractable pencil with a gold pointed tip and a casing that's suppose to reflect the colour of the shade but I don't believe it's a good reflection (for Golden Taffeta). The case is more rose pink than what it looks like on the lips.

What I appreciate about this product is that there is no hidden sharpener. I see no point when companies add this because I have not come across ONE product that has a hidden sharpener that has actually sharpened the pencil to give it better precision. So thank you LÓreal for not wasting valuable materials. My only issue with the packaging is that there's so much writing on the main case where you hold the pencil that I often keep rolling it over and over looking for the name. I bought mine from Australia for less than $AUD15.00.

The pencil goes on smoothly and you get good pigmentation in one swipe. You don't have to be precious with it because there's a good amount of product and it doesn't break off so easily like others I've used in the past. I find that you can easily go over the lip liner again without moving the product underneath and it doesn't create a build up of product that starts to crumble or break away .

This lipliner has great lasting power and stays in place for a good 5 hours before a retouch is needed. Once you swipe it, it's as if it adheres to the skin immediately. The pencil doesn't leave my lips feeling dry but nor does it leave them feeling soft or smooth either. The only thing about this shade is that it does highlight the lines in my lips even when primed however I don't find this the case with the other shades that I own.

Tips: Outline with matte lip pencil, fill in with Golden Taffeta and top it off with a gloss.

Lovely Lip Liner

When I received this pencil in a Random Act of Kindness gift from Koni I was extremely over the moon. Honestly I don't really use lip pencils. I have one in my collection so far and now I have three. Maybe this is the push I need to get into using lip pencils. This is my first experience trying a retractable lip liner.

I have two of these lip liners. The first one is called Stay UltraViolet 701. This colour is brown toned nude. It has a matte finish. The second lip liner is called Golden Taffeta 710. This colour is like a light peach. It has a metallic finish. Its an unusual shaped pencil. It starts off like a normal pencil then it sloped into a point. This point has a metallic tip. I had at first mistaken this for the point of this pencil but it's not. The tip of these liners has a lid. I find it easy to swivel up and down. It's really easy to handle.

When I used it, it really just glided over my lips. I got smooth clear lines with this . I find it blends in well with any of my lipsticks. These colours really didn't impose on any of my lip shades. After using these liners it has given me the drive to try more out and start getting into using them. They are super affordable for me to repurchase. I'm really enjoying these pencils and I would like to buy more.

L'Oreal Infallible Lip Liner

I have a number of these lip liners in different shades and have also gifted a number of them to other BR babes who seem to love them as much as me so that 's great :)

The packaging is simple yet nice. They are retractable so there's no need for sharpening them. They have a very creamy consistency which I like as they glide on so easily. I find them to have reasonable staying power and will sometimes reapply the lip liner when i'm reapplying my lipstick but that isn't always a must.

There is a big range of shades available which is fantastic as there's bound to be a shade to suit every lipstick you own ;-)

I would highly recommend these lip liners and I actually picked mine up off the snatchadeal website for only $2 each, gotta love a bargain!

Lovely, Easy, Affordable!

I was given this by a really good friend of mine (around 6 months ago and I'm only reviewing it now! Oops!) so firstly if she's reading this I'd just like to say thank you.

I enjoy the packaging of this product so much. It kind of reminds me of a Cruella Deville smoke haha! While being in your bag as a lipliner it can also be a handy weapon, object to retrieve something from a small space, etc. So, indeed a very versatile product! (Haha nah just jokes!)

I love that it's a twist up pencil and not one you have to sharpen. It's so easy to use, even with the long, pointy end.

The colour payoff is identical to the crayon(?) colour and you don't have to retrace, it's immediately that colour. It's also very long wearing. The infallible normally says 16 hours, this doesn't last that long, but still a considerably long time of 8-10 hours, even when your lipstick is off. I notice that it keeps my lipstick on longer too. When I just line the edges of my lips my lipstick there stays twice as long as in the middle.

Overall this is a wonderful product, it's cheap as at only $7 and I would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Easy to use.

I was gifted this. I had only ever used a pencil liner that needs sharpened. After the first use I quickly fell for this.

The retractable design is simple. When you take the lid off the actual product Looks very slim. When you draw it onto your lips it slides. No dragging the lip skin along with it. You only need one sweep. I find with pencils you go over the line at least once. This doesn't need it.

I particularly like this as the consistency stops bleeding of certain liquid lips products. It's like it blocks it from finding those tiny cracks and running away down them like a slip n slide! Then you see the mess a few hours later after everyone has seen you.

My colour is a nude shade that I can wear with all my lippies. It stays put. It feels nice and isn't drying at all.

The lid stays on easy. The motion of popping the liner up and down is smooth.

Highly recommended these

Infallible

I have one of these and it's the best lip liner I own, I can't understand why the RRP is so low considering I also have a few of the L'oreal colour riche lip liners RRP $29.95 which are very similar but this one is better. I have this in Ultraviolet which is not violet at all it's a medium plum/ red pinkish tone, a versatile shade suitable for accompaning many shades of plum & dark red lipsticks.

This is a wind up retractable pen, the stick formula is firm but creamy, draws smoothly, is well pigmented and stays put. This one delivers everything I want from a lip liner.

Perfect Pout.

I have two of these - 'Invincible red', which is a medium red shade and 'Golden Plum' which is a shimmery peachy nude shade.

Both of these liners boast an incredibly creamy consistency that doesn't drag or skip on your lips whatsoever. They are highly pigmented and need only one pass to fully line your lips. Despite being so creamy they don't slide around your lips or travel during the day.

These are twist up pencils, which are my favourite. The nib of the pencil is the perfect size to be able to create an accurate outline of your lips.

Once applied, these tend to last all day on me and I don't feel the need to take them with me for touch ups. Granted the pigment wears out as time goes on, but I expect that with a lipstick and a lip liner is no different.

I have had these for a few months now and I use the red one every time I wear a red lipstick. Even though the red shade has seen a lot of love, there is still about 1/4 of the pencil left. Because you don't need much these last a long time, and for the price you honestly can't go wrong.
