Nars Satin Lipstick

I'm a big fan of NARs blush and foundation, so I decided to add a few lipsticks to my collective. I love the stylish black packaging. It looks high end.

The formula is also high end! Such a lovely range of colours and a really nice formula that is not drying, like some other brands.

Rather pricey lipstick but it's definitely worth it. I will recommend and can't wait to add other colours to my collection.

I bought this for my wedding day and I love it. Smooth to apply, it doesn't cake on and feels light and moisturising. Definitely feels like satin on your lips! Catfight is very close to my natural colour but gives a bit of a pop and shimmer which I loved for my more natural look. It doesn't last a super long time but fades evenly so reapplication is a breeze.

This is the very first Nars lipstick I have owned so far. I received a mini size lipstick in the shade Toledo in a Mecca beauty loop box. The lipstick comes in a signature, black square tube with the words Nars in white across the bottom half. Inside the lipstick the word Nars is engraved across the lipstick. Talk about gorgeous packaging.

On first impressions I was a tad nervous as the lipstick looks fairly dark and I normally wear lighter shades but I was presently surprised on swatching. I would describe the shade as a warm tone, rosey pink with a satin like finish. I think this would be a fairly universal shade suitable for most people. The formula is creamy and guide on beautifully.

I am really pleased I got to try this lipstick because it's not often I find a lipstick that actually leaves my dry lips hydrated. I also like the finish as it doesn't emphasise my lip lines.

I bought a mini of this recently and have been wearing it during the day, and I'm, not usually a lippy during the day gal. But this is nice and subtle (orgasm shade) and doesn't dry my lips out like so many lipsticks do. A good quality product, though not terribly long-wearing. Using MAC primer underneath helps though.

I've had a few of these lipsticks and they have one of my favourite formulas. They have a satin formula that lasts a few hours without drying my lips out. I do find that I need a lip liner to stop the colour bleeding out of my lips with the darker colours. I love the colour range of these lipsticks and I really like the packaging. It's sleek and black although it does get dirty easily.

This was my first every NARS lipstick that I purchased and I have now got an affection for NARS products they are so beautiful pulled together and it started with this lipstick.

Design: Being a slightly smaller than average tube, with a matte effect black casing, bearing the NARS logo in white print around the lid. This lipstick has an air of luxury about it and I get an amazing feeling from using it.

Formula: Being a satin lipstick this provides the lips with a hydrated application, with a highly pigmented colour and no fuss from slipping around your lips, feathering or bleeding. It also doesn't transfer considering it isn't a drying matte finish. Long lasting I can apply this and not need to touch it up until after I have eaten something, a good 4-5 hours before the colour fades off from the centre of your lips only. By the end of the day I have probably only topped it up once or twice.

I'll admit, although i had heard a lot about Nars lipsticks, i had never really wanted one, and they weren't even on my wishlist when i saw one at a price i couldn't resist.

This lipstick comes in sleek, sophisticated Nars packaging. A black rectangle shaped tube, with the word Nars written in white. Understated and i love it.

The colour pigalle is absolutely amazing. This is is a colour i will be using till the very end, and a colour i will repurchase again in a heart beat. The colour is a warm brown with a dusky pink undertone. Or that's how i would describe it anyway. It looks natural enough to wear everyday, but also adds enough colour to wear it out to dinner or something like that. The colour is really pigmented, and applies a full--coverage look, with a semi-matte finish. This is a finish i have ended up loving because it looks amazing, and doesn't strip my lips of moisture which most matte based lipsticks do.

I love this lipstick. Its not particularly long-wearing, but it lasts a few hours, and when it does wear, i find it wears out well, and evenly. Plus a simple swipe has your lips looking as good as new again.

I would recommend the lipstick again in a heart beat.

This was my first (and so far only), NARS lipstick. I have this in the shade Pigalle which is a satin matte finish. Pigalle is a pinkish brown shade - kind of similar to MAC's Velvet Teddy but a little warmer.

The packaging is matte black with NARS written in white across the lid. I looooove the packaging as I think it looks and feels expensive and well made.

In terms of the formula this is beautiful. It isn't completely matte so it it's extremely comfortable to wear and doesn't dry my lips out whatsoever. The pigmentation is fantastic and one pass of this completely makes my lips opaque. This lasts a few hours on my lips but you can touch this up with no issues of it looking funny when being built up.

This is a beautiful lipstick and I really want to try more from NARS. The formula is quite similar to MAC's new matte formula, in that it is super creamy and opaque but it isn't as drying as MAC.

This is for the colour Schiap, i love love LOVE the colour, the formular is great! However mine has always had a really off putting smell to it, it hasn't been enough to put me off, fades while its on, and its had it since purchase which makes me wonder if i got an off batch. other than that i do think the formular is good!

I purchased this a couple years ago where it was quite a cult colour, and very rare, these days you can find pretty good dupes, so its not completely necessary to fork out for the high end.

Tho lately they have had a massive price drop (yay!) i got this for about $60, they are now around $40. - the same cost as a mac lippy! and IMO i'd much prefer nars to mac.

for lipstick lovers id say this is definitely one you want in your collection, but if your on a budget, barry m #52 i think, is an excellent dupe!
