Pink Shock

I brought this before i went back to school and it has honestly hydrated my lips as it said it would, the pigmentation of this lip balm is great as I'm left with pink lips. It did take awhile for my lips to not be dry and cracked anymore but now they're fine and i'm going to be very upset when I finish this product.

The (berry) bomb!

I picked this up on a recent trip to Australia, and it has become my at-work lip balm. I have 'Berry Bomb'.

I was drawn to this because of the packaging. Although it's cheap and cheerful plastic the black and fuschia design, with bold block lettering, appealed to me, and the tiny price tag clinched the deal.

The actual finger of lip balm, is a gorgeous deep purple colour, with a berry scent that - while not appetising per se - is pleasant and sweet.

These lip balms are not ultra hydrating - they're more about shining up the outside, but sometimes that's all you want from a lip product. They do a fabulous job of lending a shine and a sheer dark pink tint to lips - just enough for me to feel like I have my lips made up for my busy job as a teacher, without looking over the top. Application is simple and foolproof.

If you can feel the gloss on your lips then you can see the colour and shine - it's not sticky or tacky, and lasts until you eat or drink. For less than $5, this is going to become a handbag staple as well as a work bag one, I think!

Gets the job done but not the fastest in action

I picked up this recently as I was having trouble with my lips during a cold/flu/bug thing and my current balms and salves ran dry. In pink shock.

Designed I feel in the mind of attracting younger teens even though it sucked me in, the black casing is covered with a clear acrylic lid with the logo printed in pink down its body. Inside the twist up and down balm type lipstick sits in a very vivid pink shade, with a subtle taste and aroma of berries that left a soft pink tint to my lips when applied, but it didn't last more than 30 minutes which may be because I was constantly rubbing them together to relieve the cracked sensation from them being run down.

The promise of my hydrated lips wasn't entirely true and I felt that I was applying this quite often without getting a great deal of moisture retained in my lips, I did however see a slight improvement but nothing that would make me rush out and repurchase it. I did give it a few days and I have grown to like the soft tint it gives but I had to give in and purchase a more intensive treatment to bring my lips back to tip top health.

Definitely a good balm if your lips are in a good healthy state to begin with and would make an awesome light substitute to a lipstick during the summer months.

Sad, but true...

I was super excited when the Baby Lips line came out. I thought I'd found my holy grail. After a few uses my lips were super dry and I realized that they didn't moisturize my lips - rather make them chapped. Super disappointed.

The coloring, however, is quite impressive. They are super pigmented and come in a variety of colors. I own the red-ish and pink shades. I think these are personal preference because I have friends who can't get enough of them.

Tips: Skip on these and use a chapstick along with a lipstick/gloss

Electro- LOVE!

Sigh, lip balms, they are something I should probably use more often but I never do until my lips look like the soles of my feet (Shudders) Dry and chapped, more than what they should do, and what am I usually more worried about? My eyebrows, I realized I had a (small) problem and waltzed my way to hunt for some lip balms, that I will actually use on my lips and not just for decoration in my hand bag.

Looking through the isles of my local warehouse I come across a few, most are pretty average looking until the Maybelline Electro pop baby lips catch my eye. If they are anything like their regular baby lips range, I may have a chance. I pick my poison, its Orange or Watermelon, I choose Watermelon as I eat enough Vitamin C (Chocolate) which is how I pick my lip balm and I make my way to the counter.

Fast forward this to just under 2 months and I have to say my lips are soft, I actually make an effort to use this and its near the end of its days. The watermelon lip balm has a sweet scent and a light strawberry colored stain to your lips. I have had to test the taste and to be honest it tastes awful! But it is highly moisturizing and there is NO stickiness when its on your lips. I am highly impressed with this lip balm and I plan to buy more, I am glad to say my lips feel baby smooth and not like the soles of my feet anymore. Feet are the next thing to solve on my list.

Pink Shock.

I picked this up a week ago from The Warehouse and it has found a loving home in my handbag.

The tube has a black base with a clear outer casing with the brand and information printed in the colour of the lip balm, which is very handy if you have more than one! The casing feels very secure and not like it will pop of when rolling around in your handbag.

I have this in the shade 'Pink Shock' and I love it. The formula isn't quite creamy, it's almost a little satiny feeling to me quite lightweight while still remaining hydrating.

The colour takes a couple of layers to really build up which I don't mind as I find that with tinted lip balms the colour tends to stick around and if you over apply it can start to look real bad real soon. The colour when applied quite sheer is a nice shade or two brighter than my natural lip colour, and when built up a little more is a nice vibrant pink shade.

All in all I like this product for no make up days when I really want just a little splash of colour.

cute and sweet

I love the sensation on my lips when I apply this product, it smells so sweet. I wouldn't class this lipbalm as overly hydrating, not on my lips anyway. Its still a great pickme up and the tint is perf for no makeup makeup day. I think the packaging is cute and unique. I like to keep this one in my handbag, they also seem to make you want to buy more the variety of scents is just about endless. Although not overly hydrating I will continue to use because of thescent and tint.

Tips: Exfoliate lips before use for best results

Electro pop- Berry bomb

The original baby lips were my favourite balms till I got one of these- berry bomb, a vibrant looking violet shade although when applied the tint is very sheer. The packaging is just so cool it has a very modern fashionable vibe to it with the black tube and clear lid with graffiti style writing on it, and the cap clicks on very firmly.

I can't stop slicking this balm on since I got it a couple weeks ago and my lips are in the best condition of their life. This is an ultra nourishing balm, silky smooth to apply and wear not tacky or thick in the slightest. It makes lips look so supple and healthy, and works wonders to prevent chapping/ drying. It provides a light sheen which is not very lasting but that's okay because you just want to keep appling it anyway! The scent is light and tangy and it's pretty much tasteless.

I want them all!

Kissable lips... Berry Bomb

A lovely friend sent me a care package full of wonder purple things including Electro-pop! and whilst I had heard about Babylips I have never tried them before.

Well let me just say WOW! I have used balms in the past and to be completely honest I thought I had the best thing ever and wouldn't find anything else that would do as good a job... until NOW.

First application and already I feel my lips feeling buttery and silky... ultra kissable (hubby certainly enjoyed a few smooches), now every time I apply it he comes in for a peck (honestly I think he is just trying to steal my balm lol).

So the texture is soft, buttery melt on lips, the scent and taste... sweet berries. It is a sheer tint so not in your face bright but just a nice pop to bare lips.

It isn't sticky or tacky. It actually feels like it is plumping up/smoothing my lips every-time I wear it... just through sheer hydration. A nice sheen on the lips not overly glossy and still wearable under lipstick (I would blot first though).

I can see an addiction forming

Tips: Absolute value for money

POP

I love these lip balms! I have 3 colours and I love them all. First off, they smell amazing. I have Watermelon, Orange and Grape and they smell like candy~ If you're wanting to get into brighter coloured lip products this is the best way to start, because they're definitely more muted than they seem in the tube and quite sheer, but still pretty vibrant. They moisturize your lips, the colour doesn't cling to any gross patches and they leave a pretty stain on afterwards! As usual the Baby Lips line have done a fantastic job. Also the tube is quite big compared to the original ones, but they're super pretty and colourful and I like the way they twist up and the lid clicks down. Love love love these.
