L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

The packaging of this foundation is attractive and easy to handle. The foundation came out of the tube nicely but was a thinner consistency than I was expecting.

I applied the foundation with a foundation brush, but did find I had to switch to a beauty blender as the thinness of the product was more easily applied in this method.

I achieved good coverage, especially in problem areas such as red cheeks and darker under eyes. I was left with a glowing, natural look that I really loved. The foundation felt light on my skin and it didn't look thick or oily.

After a few hours I did find I had to blot as the foundation started to go a little bit oily in certain areas. But once blotted it looked great again, and lasted all night.

Overall I was happy with the Pro-Glow foundation and would use it again without a doubt.

Tips: I found that this foundation went on much smoother with a beauty blender or makeup sponge, as apposed to a foundation brush. This provides a much nicer finish.

Not for me (or my mum!)

I thought my skin was ready for a hydrating foundation but this just looked shiny and greasy on me. I gave it to my mum to try to see how it performed on drier skin than mine but she hated how it made her wrinkles look.

The consistency is very runny even after the recommended shaking but it means a little bit goes a long way.

It smells like sunscreen but that fades very quickly.

I thought the medium coverage was good but I don't think the 24 hour wear claim stands up as I noticed some wearing off after 8 hours.

So unless you have very dry skin or like looking really dewy I would steer clear.

Tips: Store upside down so excess product doesn't come pouring out when you squeeze it.

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

The sales pitch really oversells this product, long wear, hydrating glow, never dull or greasy, these are big calls and unfortunately it doesn't live up to the hype. When it arrived I was underwhelmed, for a product that retails for around $40 it looks pretty cheap. I was willing to forgive that if it lived up to what it claims to do. Opening the tube, it doesn't smell great - yay it has sunscreen in it, but its not a great scent which seems to linger with wear. I try it, the thin liquid goes a long way, and the coverage is pretty good, but I don't look particularly radiant, definitely a little greasy. I add a little powder over the top and head out. I get home after work, my cheeks and chin (my problem areas) are a little blotchy but its been a hot day, over the rest of the week I do the same, and much the same result. I definitely couldn't head out from work without reapplying which is a shame because it claims to be 24hr wear, I could forgive a quick touch up but basically a full reapply falls well short of 24hr wear! I wish this had been the miracle foundation I had been searching for, but my search will continue for now.

Tips: Better as a concealer? It has a light enough feel and good coverage that it was great at hiding my red spots and dark under eye area, I'd consider using this product again but not as a stand alone foundation.

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

I love this foundation! the colour matched perfectly and gives such a nice, natural finish. It has enough coverage to coverup blemishes but doesn't look cakey.

The only downside is that it does go a bit oily around my t-zone after a couple of hours wear - this is easily fixed with a bit of powder throughout the day - but I feel it doesn't really live up to the 24 hour wear claim.

I would definitely recommend to someone wanting light weight medium coverage and would buy again!

Tips: take your powder with you if you are prone to an oily t-zone

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

Love that this contains SPF15 ! The container is nice and easy to manage - being plastic its not a big deal if it hits the tile floor so love that!! Texture - not so keen - for me this was a bit too liquid, and quite thin, just not what im used to. I appreciated the staying power - most impressive but I feel the coverage was more low-medium than medium. It did have a nice radiant finish overall.

For me this was just ok nothing too impressive and I wouldn't buy it again, but shared it with my make up Guru 18 year old - who loved it, and it looked great on her!!!

Tips: Dont squeeze too hard as it comes out fast!!

Great Coverage

I was so impressed by the coverage that this product provided. It was easy to apply either a sweeping layer for a day of errands or fuller coverage for that date night I finally got with my hubby! I really like the tube, it's easy to apply just a little to my applicator without it getting everywhere. My only concern would be near the end of the tube making sure I can get most of it out. But then again you get that with any container. I would have given it a 5 but I found that the glow of the foundation was a bit much with my older (cough cough 40 year old skin) but I love the feel of it so much I have ordered some powder just so I can try it with a more matt finish. I know that this isn't the point of the foundation (it's supposed to make you glow) but I just want the option not to. My skin felt great with it on!

Tips: Be aware that the glowing look isn't always age appropriate depending on the look you are going for.

Light but unforgiving texture

This is a liquidy foundation - the texture reminds me a bit of MAC Face and Body - but it's nowhere near as versatile. The thin-ness made it a little difficult to apply with a brush and I'd recommend patting it in with a sponge instead. The brand recommends fingers but I find that messy and potentially unhygienic, plus tools generally give a better finish. While the product says "pro glow" and is targeted towards normal to dry skin, the texture and finish was a bit unforgiving. It looks nice and natural on the skin where it's smooth and hydrated already, but clings visibly to areas of texture and clogged pores rather than smoothing out around them. It's also a bit thin for my oilier areas - definitely a product best suited to people who already have a fairly normal, clear skin. Lasting power was fine, I haven't tested it any longer than a normal day but I didn't notice any visible fading or wearing away, apart from where I was a bit oilier. I really like the packaging because anything in a soft plastic, squeezy tube makes heaps of sense to me. Practical, unbreakable, and easy to get every last drop out of it. I'm not fussed about the SPF content. I'd almost rather foundations didn't have SPF in because the SPF 15 in this isn't going to give anyone enough sun protection, so it kind of gives you false comfort. The most disappointing thing about this foundation is the lack of shades available in stores here. Shade range has been a huge hot topic in the beauty community recently and L'Oreal have the budget and the reach to be a bit more inclusive.

Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow...unfortunately Pro-No

This foundation is targeted towards Normal to Dry skin, which is right up my alley. While I didn't get long to try this out (due to a shipping delay), my first impressions so far is that the foundation has good intentions but unfortunately doesn't follow through. I found that the foundation accentuated my pores and the finish is quite powdery. However I would say the coverage is pretty good if you're looking for something light/medium. The staying power is excellent. I also would give props to it for including sunscreen, so important during our Kiwi summers! Ultimately it was an ok foundation, I won't be running to the stores to purchase however if you're looking for something decent then give this a try at least.

Tips: I preferred using my fingers with this one, the foundation dries quickly.

Pro-Glow Yes!... and No.

First of all - I love that this is in a squeezy bottle. This morning I dropped it as I'm rather clumsy and when it just bounced on the tile floor and didn't break I was so happy. Had it been one of my glass foundation bottles things would have gotten messy. The squeeze tube also makes it easy to get product out, and to ensure you get what you need.

The foundation itself is very liquidy and can run. So if you apply it to the back of your hand before going in with your application method of choice you might want to not tip your hand over if you don't want to be cleaning up foundation from the floor.

It has a scent, but nothing offensive, and once on the face I don't notice it.

Coverage was very much light to medium. It was buildable, but it didn't cover my sun-related pigmentation or general redness with one layer. It's buildable though and I found two layers did the trick.

Application was... interesting. Initially I used a Beauty Blender and it was not good. The coverage was sheer. It didn't cover much, and I was left unimpressed. Then I read the instructions and it said to use your fingers and dot in a rolling motion. So I did - and it worked fantastically! I also used a brush and that was good, but fingers were the best tool with this foundation.

As for glow? I wouldn't say I glowed, but it definitely left my skin looking more luminous. The one thing that I wasn't a fan of was that while it was fantastic on the parts of my skin that are dry, but smooth and in good condition, I did notice it gripped to my super dry/scaly patches - such as pimples that were at the scabby stage. And my nose, which tends to be extra dry, looked quite patchy and obviously covered in foundation on the extra dry days - so I wouldn't use it when my skin isn't in great condition.

Overall though I really enjoyed this foundation and can see it being my go-to foundation for those great skin days when you don't want full coverage but want to look pulled together.

Tips: Read the instructions and use your fingers.

Lovely foundation

I loved this product. I've been using revlon colorstay for about 9 years and haven't found anything that was remotely as good on my skin. I really enjoyed this foundation and will definitely repurchase. Considering I picked the color from an online swatch, I was very surprised that the color actually looked the same on my skin. I got sand beige as I have some yellow undertones and this was perfect. I found it didn't oxidize either, and stayed true to color throughout the day. The consistency is quite runny, but the coverage is good, so I found I didn't need much product. I applied with both foundation brush and using my fingers and preferred the brush application to get a nice even coverage. The coverage style is true to the description, about medium, but gives a really nice even color with a slightly dewy look. Very natural. I found applying a thin second layer under my eye helped with my dark circles. I would still recommend concealer to cover spots. Setting with powder helped it look flawless for longer, but I mostly just left as is and I still looked like I had foundation in at the end of the work day, don't think it would live up to the 24hrs though!

Tips: Don't need much, I found it applied better with a foundation brush. Set with powder for a longer finish.
