Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara Review

My eyelashes have never looked so big! Love this stuff! I have very small lashes so I never get my hopes up when it comes to trying new mascaras but this one is by far better than any others I've ever tried. I've already recommended it to friends and family who have gone out and bought it and also love it. This is my new holey Grail mascara.

Surely a cheaper drug store brand of mascara wouldn't do what all those high end expensive ones would?! I was skeptical but after reading the glowing reviews in BR on this I HAD to try it for myself. I am always on the look out for a great mascara that will make my 'hardly there' lashes make people want to stand up and pay attention.

The packaging! Omigoodness you can't get much sexier and girly than this tube. It's a pastel pink/purple which screams feminine to me. It's sleek and fits perfectly in any makeup bag for when you are on the run. The wand itself excites me most of all. It is curved to my eye shape which allows me to distribute the mascara evenly and precisely. It even curls my lashes a tad while I apply it, The wand holds just the right amount of product without grabbing too much or having the goopy mess on the tip like some mascaras do.

I start at the root of my lashes and wriggle the wand up through them to ensure that all lashes get a good coating of this black magic. I do two coats to make sure that I have all the oomph I need and want. I do the same to the wispy bottom lashes. After I am finished I look like I have dolly lashes! WHOA! In love already!

What I love most about this mascara besides the obvious performance is that it doesn't dry hard on my lashes. It remains soft and it doesn't clump my lashes together. It keeps them separate and shows volume as well as length. It lasts all day long without smudging or washing off in the rain! I have a new best friend and at $23 it will be BFF's!!

I have fairly short boring lashes, so I have tried a fair few mascaras to try and make by lashes look plumper and longer.

Maybelline's Lash Sensational recieved a bit of a hype, so I naturally had to look into it.

The brush has two sides, the shorter one aimed to reach the roots and the longer one to fan out the lashes. I mostly found myself inclined to use the longer bristles as they felt more like a normal mascara brush, but it is worthwhile trying to use both.

The effect this mascara has on my lashes was it made them look longer, a little thicker and they did fan out more than I expected.

I also liked the packaging, it felt classy and feminine.

I would repurchase.

I purchased this from Countdown when they sent me my voucher. Love feeling like I'm getting something for free even if it is cause I spend far too much money on groceries. I had been looking at purchasing this for a while as I adore the packaging and the plastic brushes are usually my fav. As a note I also purchased this in waterproof as normal mascara always smudges on me.

I adore the packaging. The light pink really appeals to me. It is quite a thick tube but the brush is reasonably big so I suppose that makes sense. The brush is a plastic bristle one that is slightly curved.

My problem with this is probably mostly about the formula. It claims to be waterproof but this always smudges on me by the end of the day meaning I have black smudges above my eyes. I have naturally long lashes but this doesn't hold a curl very well, and as the formula is quite wet is seems to just make them clump together. I think if you had shorter lashes it would make them look a bit longer but I like mascaras that make them look a bit fuller at the same time. It just makes my lashes looks like spiders legs, rather than voluminous lovely lashes.

Overall not a fan. But there are always new mascara's out there and it is fun to try new things unfortunately it doesn't mean you always love them.

I'd heard a lot of good things about this mascara from various YouTubers around the world - and to be honest at first I really didn't like it. I found it quite clumpy and messy to apply.

I put it aside for a while, and went back to my trust Benefit Roller Lash (which I love). Recently I decided to go back to the Maybelline Lash Sensational and I have to say - for some reason my opinion has changed and I quite like it! I find that if I curl my lashes first, the mascara looks really nice and my lashes look super long! (Note that I do have naturally long looking lashes). I don't think the curl holds that great, but I don't mind toooo much,

One thing I've noticed is that it's quite flakey to remove. I use baby oil to remove my eye makeup (cheap and super effective!!) and I often end up with black flakes around my eyes. Not 100% sure why!

I brought this Mascara with high hopes sadly this just didn't live up to my expectations. The mascara comes in a cute pink tube with the applicator brush being fan shaped. The fan shaped brush is suppose to help get product onto shorter lashes. When applied onto lashes it does give good length and definition but needs at least two coats which can cause some clumps. I found the formula of the mascara dried out very quickly and I only got a month use out of it. The smell was the biggest thing that put me off with this mascara it smelt really unnatural, like glue. While I liked the definition it gave my eyes I wouldn't repurchase this again in the future.

It took me along time to finally purchase this mascara, What took me so long! I have to say It Is the top mascara on my list at present.

I found that the brush Is a nice size, nothing huge nor tiny, and I like the curve the wand has to help really lift the lashes.

The curl It gives to my lashes Is really quite Impressive, Other mascaras curl alright, but I found this one seem to keep them curled all day, which Is big points In my book.

Oh I have like the tiniest of lashes, Its quite upsetting at the best of times, But after I've applied Maybelline Lash Sensations...Boom, I have full thick lashes baby! I've also tried others new on the market, and this Is still my favorite by far.

I really love this mascara, it comes in a pink rube with a plastic wand similar to the benefit “they’re real” wand, on one side it has a smaller wand and the other a larger. The mascara is dark deep black and thick! I have a lot of lashes but they're not long and I love how this sits on my eyes!

I thought I would try this mascara as I had heard a bit of hype about it. I really liked the packaging, it comes in a sleek pretty pink tube. This mascara has a curved wand which I really liked as it allowed to reach the roots of my lashes easily. I usually only need two coats and it makes my lashes look nice and long and separates them evenly leaving no clumps. The only thing I didn't like about this mascara was that it left marks around my eyes throughout the day, however I really like this mascara and would definitely repurchase.
