CoverGirl Lashblast Volume Mascara Review

I was really excited to review this as it has never failed me and always been my holy grail mascara for the last 6 years. I have used three version of this: waterproof black, blackest and brown. And there are some reasons this mascara deserves 5*: - The effects: it offers you anything- thicker, longer YET natural lashes. What I like best about it is that it hardly ever gives that clumpy look (only when it really dries out). Natural and very light, even after three layers.

- The waterproof one is good but somehow I love the normal ones better, particularly for summer. Although they are non-waterproof, they are smudge-proof and unless you 'produce' lots of tears (coz finally you find your drugstore HG mascara ;) it's not a problem.

- The blackest one gives you dramatic and edgy look but the brown mascara gives very natural shade for your lashes.

- The price is right. Although it's often over 20$ in countdown and the warehouse but when it's on sale, it's really worth buying them two. One can last for 3-5 months (but I wont recommend 5 months though)

- The brush is 'managable' to me, I don't like thick brushes coz my lashes are not that long. In fact, the brush of this mascara can reach to the corners of my eyes. Some people do not favour the chubby shape but I have no problems holding them: handy and comfy.

I have tried so many mascaras but have never loved one, until I got my hands on this beauty. Firstly, I love the brush. It is solid with little bristles that really catchy on to every lash. It volumizes so much which I absolutely love, and it thickens my lashes. It lasts all day too. I love the packaging and this is just overall an amazing mascara!

This is super black and gives amazing volume and length without getting clumpy . It's really build able and doesn't smudge or clump on me at all. It's super affordable. The packaging is alright, but I feel like once it gets a bit old it doesn't close all the way which dries out the tube a lot more. I really like the brush because I'm more of a fan of plastic bristles and they aren't too long, which helps with the volume . The non waterproof one is still pretty waterproof

Yet again, another raved about product I had to try. The hype is true and this stuff is amazing! It gives my lashes some good volume and separates them really well. It doesn't clump up when I go in for a second coat and the product is a wet enough consistency that you have enough time to really work the product in to how you like it. It doesn't flake or transfer which I really love especially because I have hooded eyes. Overall I really just love this product and will definitely repurchase when I run out :)

I loooove this stuff. Super affordable, available waterproof and in different colors, and it has an amazing formula! I've been using this mascara since I was 13 - I have used HE and many others since then, but I almost always come back to this mascara. It gives me great volume and length, and there are so many different formulas available for what you are specifically looking for - CG hit a home-run with this one!

I first purchased this mascara about three years ago I would say, because Tiffany from MakeupbyTiffanyD raved about it on Youtube. I was so amazed by what this product could do for me and I honestly don't think there is a better drug store mascara out there... For me anyway. My eyelashes are quite long naturally so I tend to swing more towards volumizing mascaras, so this was something right up my ally. It makes your eyelashes look very naturally dramatic. Gives them allot of volume without clumping as well! This is usually my biggest concern when it comes to volumizing mascaras because they can easily be too thick and clumpy and this can create what I call the 'spider' effect. This mascara I can assure you does not clump the lashes!! It coats every lash and the wand isn't big and bulky either, which means you can get right into the root of the lashes without poking yourself in the eye haha. Just as easy to apply as it is to remove, just use your regular makeup remover, it should come of without a fuss. But don't let that give the impression it doesn't last long on the lashes, it does! For me a couple coats of this will last me all day, no touch ups and it still looks as pretty at the end of the night as it did in the morning.

I have shorter and not very thick lashes so I LOVE and NEED mascara! This is a great mascara one of the best Ive tried and is really good for work and everyday use. Its just enough wow and doesnt go icky or smudgy. It doesnt irritate my eyes at all. Its not hard to remove and doesnt rub all over your under eye bits if u forget to take it off. I really like it and will always have one on hand.

Full disclosure - I bought this from Crackerjack so there is a high possibility it is years old but...

There is almost zero product coming from the wand onto my lashes, I've also wiped it onto my hands and again the product is almost non existent. Perhaps it's dried up.

It is a shame as the brush is really good, perfect for naturally short sparse lashes like mine. But the comparison between my natural lashes and those with this mascara applied is very similar.

Does everything a mascara should . Lasts all day never goes flaky never gets clumpy . Easy to wash off at the end of the day .

Brought this at a makeup sale as have always wanted to try but wasnt sure.

It's good, the brush was nice and did not clump at all, on the brush or on my lashes. Was easy to apply and nice and dark.

Separated my lashes well but wouldnt say this product has any wow factor.

Will continue using and may possibly purchase again as it is a decent price.
