I was gifted this for Christmas one year and it served me well until I dropped it and the powder cracked and spilled everywhere!
The colours transfer well from pallet to eyelid with minimal cheek dusting. They last fairly well but are not super pigmented. Works really well as a quad for in the travel kit for between gym & work though!
I have these in the Beige Trench quad and the Velours Noir quad. Each code comes in a large plastic container with metallic gold packaging. An angled sponge applicator is included and tips on the back for how to wear all four colours as a look. The size is ideal for travel and a generous amount of each colour is included. I didn't like the sponge applicator included; as usual, these aren't ideal for applying eyeshadow and are just a waste of plastic in my opinion. It's a nice touch that the back suggests a way of wearing the eyeshadows but as the quads contain no matte transition shades, I wouldn't wear all four colours together alone as a look; I think a matte transition shade is essential. 'Beige Trench' has a cream shimmer ideal for inner corner highlighting or a browbone highlighter. There's a light cream shimmer also ideal for the inner corners. There's a gorgeous bronze shade perfect for the lid and a cool-toned greyish silver ideal for creating a smoky look. I definitely prefer this quad to the other I own as it's easy to mix together to make a subtle look that's daytime appropriate as well as a dramatic look for evening. All four shames are shimmer shades, so I always have to dive into another palette to find a matte to use with this. Velours Noir is a silver smoky palette. There's a frosty white shimmer ideal for the inner corner, a light silver perfect for the lid, a darker silver which also works well on the lid, and a ridiculously pigmented matte black, that I find too strong to use for creating a smoky look. I find the shadows in both palettes apply smoothly, there's minimal fallout. The colours have good pigmentation and last well throughout the day. They aren't anything special but they do what they promise! Although these aren't the best eyeshadows I've tried, I think the quad's are good value, easy to use and the shadows perform well, the only downside is their lack of a transition shade (shimmers aren't the kind of transition shade I would personally use).
