Revlon ColorStay Gel Eyeliner

I ran out of my fave gel liner by rimmel and gave this a go as I love Colorstay lipticks and foundation. First thing I noticed was how thick it was. For a brand new sealed product I swear it feels like its drying out. I tried 3 different eyeliner brushes with this and due to the drag of the product none of these worked. It is impossible to do a smooth crisp line.

I used this gel eyeliner when at my sister's place one time. I'm used to using liquid eyeliners and my sister had been bragging about how easy the brush was to use...Not my opinion at all. I found that because the bristles were so short they would bounce backward too fast and smear the gel. Once on the eyeliner did stay for the night which was good though.

I did not like this product very much, it has made me think twice about purchasing gel eyeliners. The product itself is quite small and compact, which is good so doesn't take too much room in my makeup bag. But the application of the gel eyeliner, using the brush is awful if you are trying to get the perfect wing. The brush is similar to a lip brush, wide and a bit thin. The wear of the eyeliner is terrible if you tend to get oily or moist eyelids (say it's a hot day), the eyeliner would rub off within a few minutes. It would leave a 'slept in with your makeup' look around the eyes and that is not something you'd want. Apart from that, the product claims that it is 'smudge proof' i have to disagree, it smudges in contact with your eyelash curler!

I have always wanted to try a liquid eyeliner as my pencil eyeliners smudge and end up under my eyes. I have to say this looked good. It was a nice rich dark colour. Need a bit of practice with keeping a straight hand as any little wiggle is very noticeable. However after applying, less than 20 seconds later my eyelids started to tingle and then started to sting. I kept it on for a minute thinking the sting will go away when it dried but it didnt. I ended wiping it off (came off really easily with cotton bud and water). Wont be using again.

Didn't like this product at all. The results weren't like anything I have ever experienced before from Revlon. I have this product in White Mist since I wanted a white liner for a different look. It is a very smart and interesting product since you wouldn't need to bring a liner brush with you if you were out and about but the built in brush was very flimsy which made it very hard to draw out a wing. Claims to be smudge proof but isn't at all. Colour pay off was also very disappointing as there were parts that had no colour while other parts were too thick with colour it was very streaky. I only paid $2 for this from a pharmacy sale box so it wasn't a waste of money but would definitely never pay full price for this. Will not repurchase.

This product claims to be 'Smudge proof' and lasting up to 24 hours, I was very disappointed that for me it was neither. very easily smudged and wore off very quickly.

would not pay full NZ price and would not recommend to anyone.

i used it once at a friends and i use a lot of gel and liquid liners but i dont know if it was just me or what but i had a hard time controlling the brush and not getting it everywhere and then when i tried to wash it off it took me about 15 minutes and i looked like a racoon till it all came off.

I have monolids and using this product does not work. It smudges almost immediately after application even with black eyeshadow to set afterwards. The brush is also very average and not precise. The opacity of the colour once applied is not great. Streaky and not even.

I had very mixed feelings about this eyeliner. Ii found it was decently easy to apply,which was completely different to my first impression upon seeing the brush. This eyeliner was easy for me to apply,but I found that the colour wasn't quite as strong as I would have wanted. It was pretty hard to take off,but at least it seemed to stay on pretty well. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this product.
