Essence Eyebrow Designer Review

Thos is a really lovely brow pencil. The colout worked perfect for me and it was an easy stay in place application. For a drug store brand pencil its a wonder worker.

I recently ran out of my other brow pencil so purchased this as a replacement on my last haul. There was a minimal selection of colours from memory 3 or 4 shades. Along the lines of Blonde, Dark Brown, Light Brown and Black. I have dark brown brows so brought the Dark Brown liner as I thought it would be more suitable than the black.

Packaging is quite simple. The whole pencil is the same colour as the shade inside. Has a little brush tip on the outside of the lid. Looks a bit cheap to me however it is a super affordable brand so to be expected. I prefer a spoolie. I've used this a couple of times in the last week and have noticed a few things. The shade is too warm/light for my brows I can live with that. It applies patchy and I don't like it.

I really wish they had a taupe colour in the range. I prefer my last brow product so much more than this. I imagine I will finish this up but I will not be repurchasing.

Brow pencils are not something I spend much money on as I rarely use them and tend to get the same results regardless of what one I use or who its by. I picked up this one from Essence just to have a brow pencil in my collection, if I don't feel like using my pomade. It was maybe around $3 if that, so cant complain price -wise. I really like it! I wish there were more shades, but that an issue I have with the Essence brand as a whole. This pencil stays on nicely, gives a light and natural look, if your wanting dramatic and dark brows this wouldn't be the best product. But if your just needing something for a quick, everyday look or just to fill in the sparse areas, this would be a great affordable option.

This eyebrow pencil is nice and thin, making it easier to hold and grib when applying it. It has a handy little brush on the end on the lid which saves time having to search for one, especially if you are in a hurry! There is a small colour range to choose from but a shade for all eyebrow colours and the colour range includes black! I’ve found this pencil easy to use. Very simple to define the eyebrows and create shape. Press lightly for a soft look or firm for a bold look. The pencil formula itself I found creamy and it definitely long wearing. The only downside is that this pencil doesn’t come with a pencil sharpener. I’ve used this pencil for a number of years and have continued to repurchase it. For such an affordable price, I will always keep this in my makeup collection.

This is nothing glamorous. The packaging is basic, and so is the product, but it does the job of any other brow pencil.

I use it to fill in my brows, and can use a light touch easily. For a more dramatic look I can press more firmly - easy!

The brow brush isn't great, but I'm not too worried about that. The only downside is that I found the pencil quite hard to sharpen.
