Really lovely

I have early 50s skin that is dryish but not acne prone and no real concerns. This is lovely if you want a wee splurge. I do tend to reach for a more hydrating primer but this one is not drying either. It gives a nice subtle glow with a little hydration and feels nice on the skin. You also don't need a lot. I feel like it does help with how long your foundation lasts as well. Overall very nice.

Subtle Glow

I really love the consistency of this, it's not super super shiny and it doesn't dry your skin out. I prefer to go with a natural sheer finish and this shows through nicely, so I'm not sure how it would be with more of a full coverage. The one thing I really dislike about this product (which is the reason I only gave it 4/5) was the smell. It reminds me of fly spray. The smell is only noticeably when you pump it out and disappears once applied but if you're sensitive to smells, just a heads up!

Better for younger, clearer skin

Alas this product was not for me - My skin is just not suited to it. Such a shame as I wanted it to work very much. I love how Becca products are packaged - they just look so luxe (and they are).

I'll usually go for matte finishes but have been making an effort to try new things and thought this would change everything for me but it hasn't. Love the look, feel and smell of this product, infact I love everything about it except for the fact it didn't make me glow unless I used it without putting foundation on top. I use double wear mainly so that could be the issue. It was just too heavy to let the light shine through. When used on bare skin over moisturiser I could really see the glow, but as my skin is not nice enough to go without foundation this has been a complete waste for me. My skin is also quite oily in places and in those areas it just looked like an oil slick after a couple of hours.

Tips: Not particularly suited to mature oily skin

Glow baby glow

This was a birthday splurge for me, it was a long awaiting one at that! As always with Becca the packaging is luxe with a capital L. The frosted glass bottle and the signature metal embossed Becca logo really do add to the luxury feel.

This primer is quite moisturizing and has a slightly tacky feel after application which helps your makeup to stick. It has the most subtle of luminous finishes, no disco balls here.It also does diffuse the appearance of fine lines, great for this thirty somethings skin.

I do find that my makeup wont last all day with this one, my skin is not dry and is acne prone with larger pores so for the best finish I apply this on my fore head and on the outer perimeters of my face and use more of a oily skin targeted primer on my nose, chin and beside my nose where my pores are most obvious. This is definately the pick for someone with normal to dry skin, although I still absolutely love it when used in a targeted manner.

This is an absoutely beautiful primer and well worth dropping the extra coin (particularly for normal/dry/mature skin).

Finally a Primer that works for me!

It has been a long, weary road for me finding the right primer. I have fair-medium, late-30s skin, with noticeable expression lines and some pigmentation, and I wanted something that was going to smooth all that out, give me a bit of a glow, and make a good base for light weight foundation. Becca's primer does all that perfectly, and is really easy to use, blend, and is long lasting. A little also goes a long way. I hardly need any foundation over it, as it is so good. The other bonus is, foundation often ends up making me look a bit dry, but this primer is so good at giving a luxurious glow, that my foundation lasts longer, while looking nice and dewy (but not shiny!) throughout the day.

Shine bright from inside!

This was a purchase almost immediately after watching a Jaclyn Hill video where she raved about it and how well it worked on her skin and what it did for her. I wanted it, with a great passion and lucky for me Beauty Bliss now stock this, so I had it the very next day.

Ideal for those who have dry to combination skin as it adds a glow effect that can get a bit messy with oily skin as the day goes on.

Packaged in a sleek frosted glass bottle with the iconic Becca logo embossed lid in gunmetal steel shade this just looks the business sat on my desk and basically screams at me to use it over the others it snuggles there with. It is a very hard product to explain as it adds glow without looking highlighted, it brightens your face and radiates from underneath your foundation even matte formulas. Formula of this primer is a champagne pink with iridescent pearl effect veining though it, that once warmed up onto the face and patted in, blends out into an invisible veil that is slightly sticky, which helps keep your foundation in place for longer.

Once foundation is placed over the primer, which has no problems with use of a sponge or brush, the primer doesn't make the foundation drag or pill on your skin. The foundation settles without sinking into the primer and pores look smooth. Once finalised with setting powder and a spray of setting spray you start to see the glow from within, like you have just had a work out without the nasty sweat look.

My combination skin has recently taken a oily turn that has seen this primer start to play up on me, with it breaking down in certain areas and peeking through the foundation by the 6th hours mark, nothing that a blotting can't fix. However though during my drier moments this stays put all day and the healthy glow is as brilliant at the end of the day as it was at the start.

A beautiful product that helps your skin look plump, bright and youthful without that drawing to attention of uneven skin texture, pimples or lines that you so often get with a high shine powder highlighter.

"Lit from within" primer

I've been using this for 3 months and it's probably my favourite 'lit from within' primers. I bought this from Beauty Bliss for $56.00 (during promo and using rewards points) but at the time the retail price was $69.00 which is expensive for a 30ml primer.

It comes in sturdy frosted packaging with a pump and the signature brown metal lid found on the Becca blushes and highlighters. My only issue with the packaging is it's hard to detect how much product you have left so you need to hold it up to the light (natural light works best) to see the outline.

During this process you may find a bit of product near the top that will not slide down due to the semi thick consistency. Unfortunately this is product you can't reach even when you unscrew the top which is disappointing considering the price.

I use one full pump for my face (and a bit if I'm feeling like an extra boost). The shade that comes through the frosted glass is very similar to the shade in the bottle but more peach with very fine iridescent specks. It has a creamy soapy scent which for me is quite refreshing in the morning. It's not overpowering and will fade within minutes after application.

What I love is that this blends beautifully into the skin leaving behind a lovely natural sheen and when you're in the light you'll be able to see the iridescent specks. Don't panic, you won't look like your from the Twilight movies it just looks like a "lit from within" glow. I have oily skin and I love that this primer doesn't leave me looking like an oil slick.

I prefer to wear this on it's own for a fresh natural glow. I don't notice too much difference under foundation because I'm already using a luminous foundation (Natasha Denona) but my base does hold up well during the day. Within 3 months I managed to go through over half of the product so this could possibly last me 6-7months which again is a little disappointing because for an expensive primer I'd want it to atleast last a year however the product and results are worth it so I will be repurchasing.

Her eyeshadows look great, like you the price scares me, and also I already have a gazillion shadows I don't use.

Haha we all want to purchase stuff we don't need. I've tried 6 of her products because I bought the Glowing Skin System and I really love her Face Glow Foundation and the All Over Glow Face & Body Shimmer powder (panned).

Uh I want everything Becca at the moment. Have you tried many of the Natasha Denona products? They look awesome and I'm very tempted to purchase lots of her stuff that I don't need.
