I used two tubes of this toothpaste to give it the benefit of the doubt but it didnt do much at all! I think it may have lightened my teeth maybe one shade or it may have just been me hoping that there was some kind of payoff. You just use this like any other toothpaste, but I feel as if it didnt really do great in toothpaste standards either. My breath didnt feel super fresh or my teeth amazingly clean. For the price and the results I will not be repurchasing.

I have been using this toothpaste for a few weeks now and I have only noticed a slight change i whiteness (although my wishful thinking may be tricking my eyes). The weird thing I have found with this, is that I wake up with white stringy stuff inside my mouth on my inner cheeks. So gross! I did some research and apparently this is really common with whitening toothpastes and the peroxide burns your mouth and its just a reaction to the chemicals. Apart from that, I suppose it's just like any other toothpaste. I wouldn't go out and buy it again.
I am always on the hunt for products that will whiten my teeth without damaging them and I had high hopes for this product as it was Colgate- a brand I trust. I used two tubes of the Colgate Optic White toothpaste (plus the whitening pen) and saw only a very very minor difference in the whiteness. It was actually so minor that sometimes I think that maybe I even imagined that I saw a difference. I used this toothpaste twice a day and did not get any sensitivity after using this product which is something I am always wary of when using whitening products.
Overall I do not think it is worth the money and I prefer other toothpastes.
I had poor expectations of this toothpaste.
I brought it about 7 weeks ago when it was on special just to give it a try.
While I'm not 3 or 4 shades lighter in toothie whiteness, there is a noticeable difference. Not so much whiter, just less yellowish.
The taste isn't too flash. Not minty fresh, just somewhat minty. The texture is fairly smooth. It recommends to only rinse your mouth with a very small amount of water after - my dentist recently told me to stop rinsing altogether but I hate the Stringy Slime some toothpastes leave behind - well this toothpaste does not do that. so flag the rinse!
I'm thinking I will grab another tube of this when it runs out... I'm interested to see if continued use makes any more difference.
Love this toothpaste, not too sure that my teeth are 3 shade whiter but defiantly a change, like that it keeps you fresh and has a nice minty flavour
The first time I got Colgate Optic White was in a Black Box ...and I feel in love. It is a great toothpaste. Teeth feel cleaner and with time do get whiter. I will not use anything else now.
Tips: Hang in there ....teeth do not appear whiter overnight
I used up 2 whole tubes of this toothpaste in the desperate hope that it would whiten without the hassle of having to use separate whitening products, unfortunately I saw no difference whatsoever than using my standard $3 tube.
This has quite a strong, clinical taste to it which I started to associate with clean teeth, I guess that's the taste of the hydrogen peroxide (the supposed whitenener). It's weird but I kinda miss that strong taste, cheaper toothpaste doesn't taste as 'clean'.
Other than that, I don't miss this toothpaste. I think you should save your pennies and spend them on an actual proven whitening product such as Crest Whitening Strips etc.
Always striving for whiter teeth, I used the Colgate Optic White toothpaste for two months, with no visible difference in the whiteness or brightness of my teeth. I used this toothpaste morning and night, and sometimes cleaned with a standard toothpaste afterwards as I didn't feel minty fresh with the Optic White alone. I noticed no sensitivity after using this product - something I did experience with the Crest Whitening Strips.
Two months after using this toothpaste I had been reading reviews and saw lots of warnings about whitening toothpastes (not just the Optic White) making people break out around the chin area. This was at a point where I had very clear skin, but had had a month of 5-8 blemishes all in one spot, on one side of my chin. I immediately stopped using the toothpaste, and they cleared up pretty quickly. I don't want to say that it WAS the toothpaste, but it may be something to watch out for.
The bonus to using this toothpaste was that I took more care brushing my teeth. Envisioning whiter teeth certainly makes you brush for longer!
I used this product along with the recommended electric toothbrush until the tube ran out. I saw very little, if any, difference in the shade of teeth. Only positive was I spent more time cleaning my teeth!
I used this toothpaste for the whole tube and didn't really notice anything much special, until I stopped using it and was back using regular toothpaste that I noticed the difference it had made. My teeth just didn't look as white anymore once I stopped using it. I drink a lot of coffee which stains my teeth so I feel this toothpaste generally just keeps this staining in check. It doesn't make them movie star white. I use it once a day- usually in the morning, and regular paste at night. It is nowhere near as minty as normal toothpaste ( it has an odd sensitive toothpaste type taste) so I use it in combination with the optic white mouthwash. I especially like the 3 day version.
