Colgate Optic White Toothpaste review

..except for my teeth becoming sensitive! Which they never were before :( Ive used 2 tubes and certainly won't be using any more. Not really much else to say about it unfortunately

I received two of these and was looking forward to trying them out as I am self conscious about staining I have on my teeth that I have had since childhood.

The packaging is rather eye-catching with its vibrant colours and I like that the tube has a large lid - as I tend to misplace the lids on toothpaste. This squeezes out like any other toothpaste and is easy to keep clean.

In saying this though - I absolutely loathe the taste. It is marketed as a mint flavour - and it is a mint taste, but it tastes vile. To me it tastes a little sweet and like it has some kind of herbal compnent? I am unsure if it is the flavour of the whitening agents. Nevertheless the taste is abhorrent to me. Also, I found that the paste felt like it was burning my tongue - it is the same sensation you get when using strong mouth wash. I really, really dislike that.

Even after using this every day for 2 weeks I didn't really notice any whitening action. Perhaps I didn't give it long enough but I had to stop using it after 2 weeks as I couldn't stand the taste and feeling.

Aside from the taste and burning sensation, this did leave my teeth feeling clean and fresh.

In all, I won't even finish the tube I have open and have given the other tube away. I definitely won't be buying this and I didn't like this enough to recommend it, either. I think that your regular toothpaste does the same job.

I never noticed a difference in my teeth shades. It's pricey for a toothpaste that does the same thing as any other toothpaste. There is a pretty decent amount of product. If I used it 3x daily my gums became tender and bled when I would brush again. Sadly I won't be repurchasing this.

Was excited to try out this toothpaste, but after a month I saw no results. The paste itself is unpleasant, its sort of gritty and has a stronger taste than normal colgate toothpaste. I wouldn't buy this again, especially at the price.

A good fresh tasting toothpaste. I enjoyed using this as I liked the taste and the freshness that it gave after brushing. I have used a good 3/4 of the tube and unfortunately it hasn't whitened my teeth as described. Due to this I feel that it is overpriced and under rated. The only good side of this product is the fresh taste that it leaves in your mouth.

After my disappointment with Colgate MaxWhite, I wanted to try a new whitening toothpaste and gave this one a try, thinking it will be better and more effective than MaxWhite.

It turns out it was just another disappointment. It wasn't effective at all. No visible whitening results after using the whole tube.

I always make sure to brush before sleeping and I never go to sleep without brushing my teeth and still, the product has been ineffective.

I received 2 of these in a sample box and thought awesome! I was disappointed with the taste, it was a very weak minty taste and felt it made no difference to my teeth. It felt like I hadn't cleaned my teeth after use and the minty feeling faded quicky. wouldn't purchase it again

I used this for well over 4 week's and to be honest I personally did not notice a difference. I went to the extent of even taking before and after photo's, and there was very little change.

I didn't really like the texture of the toothpaste, To me It was kind of grainy and felt gross on my teeth.

The one positive I have with this toothpaste Is that the taste of the strong minty flavour was pleasantly refreshing. It did leave my mouth feeling clean though. I don't think It Is worth the price and will not purchase It again.

I'm still on the hunt for a goof whitening toothpaste.

I bought this toothpaste expecting some results as I had previously used another brand of whitening toothpaste and found ithe results to be spectacular! However after having difficulty finding the one I used last time I settled for this one instead. I don't mind the taste of this toothpaste as it is quite refreshing because of how strong it is. So I've been using this toothpaste for about 8 weeks now and I haven't really seen a difference! Not to mention how pricey it is! The big thing that really stopped me using it was that I started getting small pimples all around my mouth and I am not a person who usually ever gets pimples/zits. However as soon as I stopped using the toothpaste I stopped getting them! I will definitely not go back to this toothpaste ever because of this! I recommend you try some other brands if you don't want to risk getting pimples!
