Clinique High Impact Mascara Reviews

I absolutely love this mascara. I first received it as part of the Clinique bonus time set and fell in love. It does exactly what it says - gives you noticeably lash definition but minus the clumping like many similar mascaras leave you with. It's also noticeable yet not fake looking if that makes sense - a more natural definition.Would highly recommend for both day and night.

I have a mini size of this mascara that I got with a whole bunch of other clinique products from my sister for my birthday. I'm usually a drugstore mascara girl so I was really excited about trying this one out.

When I first started using this, I actually didn't like it. The formula was quite wet and it didn't seem to do anything special to my lashes. I used it a couple of times and then it just sat in eye makeup box and I moved onto other things. After about a month or so I picked it up again and decided to give it another go. This time, I loved it. Being open for a few weeks helped dry out the formula a little bit and it is like magic for my lashes. I have quite short, sparse ones but this gives me so much length and keeps all my lashes separated. It doesn't give me massive volume but two coats gives me a really nice amount and still with no clumps.

The formula doesn't flake off at the end of the day or irritate my eyes. It's also reasonably easy to remove at the end of the day (I use makeup wipes).

I really enjoy using this mascara, I'll be sad to have to throw it away when it's all gone. I'm pretty sure I'll re-purchase even if it is about 3 times what I normally spend on mascara. I'm impressed enough with it that I think it's worth it.

I got a deluxe sample of this when I ordered some Clinique skincare. I hadn't tried any Clinique mascara so before so was excited to give this a go.

The packaging is sophisticated as it comes in an emerald green tube. It isn't something that would catch my eye on a shelf but it looks nice. The brush is a traditional wand.

My first thought when applying this was that the formula is really wet. I was concerned that it would get all over my eyelids but it didn't (and hasn't since). Once you get over the feeling of a super wet mascara it's fine. It doesn't take long to dry and doesn't leave your lashes looking clumpy or spidery.

In fact, that is what I love so much about this mascara. I have naturally long and thick lashes, so most mascara clump them together and make them look like one giant lash. I love the look of splayed out lashes and this is does that for me. It's like it coats each lash individually and separates them. I love how fanned out my lashes look when using this.

If you're someone that likes your lashes to look more voluminous, then I don't think this is right for you. This definitely gives length but not so much volume.

I love this mascara and will definitely be purchasing it once my no spend is over.

I have very sensitive eyes and this is the only mascara I can use without getting any redness or tears. It also creates beautiful full lashes without clumping.Love it!

This mascara is pretty good, and it seems to mostly do what it says it will. So, things I like about it... (#1) It doesn't smudge and give me panda-eyes (#2) It lasts through the day (#3) Very easy to remove, a washcloth will take it off (#4) It doesn't clump at all!

So these are all really, really good things right? What I don't get with this mascara is any lengthening or body to it. I have very fine, shortish lashes and I just don't find this mascara gives me the oomph that I'm trying to find in a mascara. So while I like it lots, and I would definitely recommend it for people with longer, fuller lashes... I'm afraid I'm still looking for my perfect 5/5 mascara *sigh*

I received a mini version of this as part of a Clinique GWP. The brush applicator looked promising, it is of the natural bristle variety and looks like it would give you lots of volume. Unfortunately this did nothing for my lashes, gave me no volume, only a little length and didn't hold a curl very well. I also found that it flaked off my lashes somewhat throughout the day. After a couple of uses I have thrown this one out- lifes too short for a bad mascara!

This one is hugely popular but unfortunately did not work for my lashes so wouldn't personally recommend it.

I also received this in a gwp when I purchased some Clinique products. I was excited to try this as I had been using an eye lash serum and they were looking good, and I thought they would look even better with a great mascara.

I was so dissapointed with this. I didnt get any more volume or length and the colour didnt have much of an impact either. It seemed to dry out during the day and started falling off my lashes. I am happy I didnt "pay"for this mascara.

I really love the Clinique High-Impact Mascara. When I was searching for mascara I specifically wanted something that would lengthen and separate my lashes without adding clumps of mascara. This one was great. It seems like quite a light coverage compared to other mascaras I have used but it definitely did what the salesperson said. My eye lashes looked a lot longer and fuller because it separated them all out. It is super easy to clean off with just water but doesn't run if you are working out or caught in the rain.

I have had several tubes of this over the years, and have just finished one now with another two in the stash. It's a favourite product for Clinque to include in their GWPs hence why I have accumulated so many.

The brush is quite big but not enormous. I find it gets a good amount of product on and distributes it well. I don't seem to get any clumps with this mascara which is good. However, once it has gone through the 'too wet' stage, as all mascaras do, it is really good for a bit and gives nice length and volume. However quite soon after that it dries up a bit more and becomes much more of a natural looking mascara which is not very 'high impact'.

Bottom line is I will keep using those in my stash but probably wouldn't buy.

This is a consistent mascara although it is meant to be high impact I found it's density the same as general use mascaras. I had to apply quite heavily to obtain what I would call a high density look.
