Tips: Keep one handy in your handbag
Ever since I can remember, Ive always seemed to have a thousand chapsticks floating around the house, in my bag, and now in my car. They are great to have on hand day to day when you feel a bit dry, but they aren't my go to when my lips start to really dry out in the winter, I need something a bit more heavy duty. For mild dryness though theyre fantastic.
You can never go wrong with chapstick, ever. Its so moisturising, with a really great range of scents and it also has quite a thick formula which means it lasts for ages! Some flavours have SPF as well, so that makes them even better. Chapsticks will always be a classic in my books!
Chopstick is a must. I'll always need this before I go out because it winter's especially my lips get so dry and this is such a nice little thing to carry around. Also I always buy more and like collect them. They're so nice! Love them haha
I've carried around a chapstick in my handbag, schoolbag and car since before I can remember. They're a good quick-fix treatment. Chapstick does provide some relief to dry lips, however, if I had intensely cracked sore lips I'd reach for an alternative product. Two fave's would have to be the strawberry for day-to-day use and the black packaging stick which I keep next to the bed. Its a classic that I simply can't discontinue buying.
Out of all the hundreds of lip balms ive used, my chap sticks didn't really stand out. I found that the balmy-ness didn't really last on my lips and i needed to constantly re-apply it. The smell of the berry chaptstick is way to strong and quite sickly and the plain original one has a weird almost chemically smell and neither of them taste very nice. The price is very good but i have found other lip balms of similar prices that i find all round a lot better.
Tips: Will need a lot of reapplying.
This is definitely a go to product. I have one of these in my hand bag, car and bathroom cabinet.
I like that there is multiple flavours available and also that it contains a SPF. It is very nourishing and I find that when I go to the snow and in summer I never end up with cracked lips. I also love that it is suitable for the whole family including the man in the house and the children. Also at the price it is easily affordable for the whole family.
Tips: Buy the twin packs when they are on special ! Keep one all over the place
Chapstick is definatly a must have in every womans make up kit/ hand bag and pretty much everywhere possible. My chap stick is such a life saver for me at the moment while I have a cold and am constantly blowing my noes which makes my lips ultra dry. A couple of swipes of my Chapstick and my lips already feel a million times better. I'm sure I will be useing this until they stop making it (hopefully they never do)
... the days before the Lipsmackers craze, anyway.
We were on to something back then. This stuff is cheap and it works.
I nostalgia-tripped recently and added a Strawberry Chapstick to my groceries. Back in the day I always had either a strawberry or original one of these handy!
The packaging is pretty reminiscent of those 90's schoolgirl days... the black and white logo on the red background doesn't seem to have changed much, nor does the product within.
The lip balm 'finger' twists up from the white plastic tube, and is a pale red. It's a quite soft, creamy consistency, but holds its shape well in the tube.
There is nothing much natural tasting or smelling about this - it's faux strawberry in all it's girly glory but like I said that takes me back to my schoolgirl time and makes me smile.
Chapstick works. It takes dry chapped lips and almost instantly smoothes and soothes, leaving softer, more supple lips behind - so I forgive the artificial, slightly waxy scent and flavour when it's so effective. Since leaving my initial Chapstick days behind I've tried nearly everything else on the market and it's nice to know that we had it right to start off with all those years ago!
We were sun smart too... it's SPF 15!
I love lip balms, I just have them pretty much everywhere - but this is not one I have purchased more than once.
First of all I dont find the packaging that enticing - yeh Im a sucker for packaging. The balm is also overpriced in my opinion.
I found this dries and goes hard in the tube which makes it hard to apply. The scent is weird as well - hard to describe - but I know a chapstick smell when I smell it!!
Not buying again.
