Becca Mineral Pigmented, Blends Beautifully Blush

I got a few of these blushes in different Becca cheek palettes. I have Songbird (tawny, peach) and Wisteria (soft rose shade) in the Becca Blushed with Light. Apricot Blossom (peachy coral) in the Becca Sunchaser palette. And Winterberry (berry pink) in the Becca Apres palette a few years back. All of them are pigmented, very pigmented. You have to gently tap your brush in it, possibly tap the brush (I don't because I feel I'm wasting expensive blush) and lightly stipple the color on and blend, blend. Most of these blushes are matte, but not a chalky dusty matte but a really fine looking flush of color than looks natural on skin matte. In comparison to the luminous blushes from Becca these look really matte because the luminous blushes are pretty much uber pigmented, blush toned highlighters. If you feel like a high end blush that would like you ages and one of these shades appeal to you I would recommend these. Plus, they seem to last at least 6 hours probably a bit longer, at least on me.

Tips: I find the blushes in the Becca cheek/face palettes to be very good quality and about the same price as a full-sized blush. So if the colors in the palettes appeal to you, they are excellent value.

Super Pigmented Blush!

I have this blush in the shade Flowerchild and I love it! I only really wear it during the summer because it's such a bright shade but the formula is lovely and pigmented so I definitely want to buy more of them. I'm not overly fond of the packaging because I feel like it doesn't protect the product very well. But the shade and the pigment are amazing quality. Buying in New Zealand is never going to be cheap and you can always find something similar for a cheaper price point but if you feel like splurging then I definitely recommend this product

Not as good as the highlighters

I have two shades of these blushers. Wild Honey and Flowerchild. They are just the mini sizes that come in the Afterglow face palette.

Wild Honey is a bronzed blush shade. IT's a very warm medium brown colour. It is a pretty much matte colour but it does have some very fine glitter in it. Flowerchild is a bright pink which has sort of a golden sheen and some fine glitter in it too.

I think these are both very pretty colours and although they can be a bit powdery, they do blend well and are pigmented in colour but not overly so. They work on my light skin tone and I think they could work well for medium skin tones too. I find they last well on my cheeks for most of the day.

I feel like these don't wow me though. Becca make amazing highlighters, so because of that, I expect so much more from their other products. For me, these blush shades are nothing that I couldn't find cheaper from other brands. I don't think they are bad at all, but I wouldn't buy a fullsize one. I'll possibly end up with more at some stage though because I really want the Jaclyn Hill palette and it has blusher in it too. So I'd say, if you're interested in a palette that these come in, then it's fine but I wouldn't recommend buying these specifically. Buy all the highlight instead!

Underwhelmed

Apricot Blossom is such a beautiful almost natural looking colour that pairs perfectly with bronzer. There is no shimmer, it doesn’t go on patchy or too opaque, it really just looks like my cheeks have a perfect flushed look to them regardless of how much or how little makeup I have on. This colour came part of a trio of products in Beccas Sunchaser Palette which also included their Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Opal, and a Sunlight Bronzer in Ipanema Sun, I’m not sure if it was limited or if you can buy it individually and after my experience with this particular blush, I’m not sure I would unless it was HEAVILY discounted. While the colour is gorgeous, the product blends wonderfully and goes on so smoothly, it is super powdery! One swipe with a brush and there is apricot coloured powder absolutely everywhere. I’m not sure if this is the same across all or the majority of their blushes or perhaps it’s just because it’s part of a palette? I don’t know. I have really been put off trying any of the other colours in their blush range though.
