Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

This product did remove the oil from my hair and left my hair feeling fresher however due to having dark hair most times I used it I was left with the roots being white. It would work well with blonde hair im assuming. People seem to love this product but its not for me. Id recommend to a friend with lighter hair than me,

Dry Shampoo is one of my 'must have' items, I've tried a fair few different brands in my time - some of which are absolutely brilliant, and the others that are a completely let down. Despite the hype, Batiste Dry Shampoo didn't fit in either of those two categories, I just found it to be completely average.

It does do a fantastic job at removing grease - almost too well. If I use this in the morning on second/third day hair, grease is instantly absorbed by the product and my hair returns to it's voluminous and "fresh" looking state, and remains that way all day.

As I said before, it does do a fantastic job of removing grease.. but I do find that it does leave a lot of residue and has a tonne of product fall out. Perhaps I'm just using too much in my hair, but whenever I shake my hair - despite the inital rub in and brush through, I find that I shed a lot of dry shampoo dust. Not really a great thing for it to do when I pretty much wear all black!

The product comes in a variety of scents, I prefer Clean & Classic although I have tried others. They do smell nice, but I just find them to be far too strong.

The packaging is adorable. You can easily find it in your bag or on the store shelves. It's iconic and bold. I love that even though there are different scents available, they all remain consistent in their branding.

Depsite it's averageness, it's a product that does work. I will always keep one in my bag as they are the only brand I have found that does a dry shampoo in a mini bottle.

When I first started using this product I loved it and went through a few cans before I realised my hair had become reliant on it to get rid of the oiliness. When I didn't use the dry shampoo my hair looked horrible and it felt like I hadn't washed out my normal shampoo properly and this was after only a few hours of washing my hair. I'll only be using this product if I'm desperate as it did do what it said it would do but it's the other side effects that I'm not a fan of.

Love using this product especially when I do not have time to wash my hair. It's great to travel with or when you've been to the gym and want to freshen your hair up. Dislike how if you accidently spray too close it's hard to get rid of the white in your hair.

I was fairly new to dry shampoo until a few months back and since then I have tried a few top contenders, this being the most recent. I have to say that I don't wash my hair daily so dry shampoo is really good for if I am heading out and in between washes as it helps to lift the roots and remove the oily shine.

I like the cute canister but I found the nozzle had come off before I had even taken the cap off (I thought the rattling when I shook it was a mixer bead lol). So after picking the nozzle up off the floor (after it took flight under my bed) and blasting my hair with it from a safe distance, I tousled my hair and it felt really soft! I don't think it feels or looks clean though and have had more refreshing results from another brand. I didn't see any chalky/powdery residue on my scalp, and it didn't smell like I was doused in baby powder either.

I would use this one in a pinch but I prefer another for overall performance (this one is cheaper though).

I grabbed this the out of my beauty box the other day when my hair was really due for a wash but i didn't want to go out in the cold with wet hair... It was quick and easy and indeed my hair felt cleaner, less oily and smelled good. Obviously its not the same as washing your hair normally but it is a good fast easy solution for those odd occasions. I did find it felt a bit dusty at first but i think thats cause i hadnt brushed it in well enough. This would be good for when you are travelling or camping where you dont have regular access to hot running water.

I would use it again but ony as a back up plan

This is my first time using a "Dry Shampoo". It surpassed my expectations. I have fine/thin hair and this product left my hair feeling soft and clean-ish (next best thing when you cant wash your hair). The fragrance was fresh scented and not heavy like some hair products can be. All in all I would use this again and recommend to those on the go or camping ;-).

I have fine straight hair very dark hair which I wash every second day. I tried this on the day in between. first I think i overdid it and got quite a "heavy look" but after that I was not really aware of any effect other than it made it seem a little less glossy and the smell was pleasant. I think I would take it travelling/camping in case I got caught short but not a permanent product for me

Myself and my daughter trialed this product. I found it easy to use and portable for my handbag but after a day my hair became dry and brittle. My daughter who has long hair loved the product, she now uses it constantly. I found i needed to wash my hair the evening after use as my pillow had an oily look about it. My scalp got drier than normal so use for me would be limited. My hair did wash up really well afterwards though, it felt softer than normal and was easy to manage. I will have a can with me for quick uses but not all the time.
